I was told that a global high-lift color could lighten my very dark hair a bit, so I trusted my stylist blindly and decided to go ahead with it. She used a high lift cream-based color, but in the end my hair looked almost exactly like my original color, rather more darker. I also had a few lighter hair strands left from my previous color, and those got covered too. Spending over $90 for almost no visible change was really not what I expected. It honestly felt like a waste of money, and I left pretty unhappy. Few suggestions for the Salon - I would really help if the salon did a 'strand test' first whenever they are not sure how a color will turn out. Maybe more training to the staff with different hair samples would help too or a proactive offer to improve the result than saying (we can do some highlights for another $100). Other than this, I really like my stylists and I always love the haircuts and advice I get there (just not thus hair color experience). I will go back because I have had good experiences otherwise, but next time I will take the color advice with a grain of salt instead of trusting the hair color recommendation.

I got my brows waxed and tinted here yesterday and the skin was ripped from my eye area in three…read moreplaces. I've had my brows waxed several different occasions and places and this has NEVER happened. I was in shock and pain so I quickly paid and left without too much fuss. But after having a day to process and research why it happened, I'm upset enough to leave a bad review. First off all, my eyebrows were each wiped once before being waxed. No other prep was done. She applied the wax under my brows two times each side. Apparently that's a big no no. Didn't know it at the time since it had never happened before. I'm not sure if the wax wasn't warm enough or just not good enough quality to take the hairs out the first time. And there really weren't a lot of hairs to even remove. After realizing what she had done, she didn't tell me what happened even though she later admitted to seeing it right away, but instead just switched to threading above my left brow. Then she quickly wiped the area and applied the tint and told me it would be 7-8 minutes wait and then walked away. By this time my brows are burning, but I thought maybe it was just a reaction from the tint. She finally came back and wiped it off and then I looked in the mirror and saw what had happened. I was in shock. Wondering out loud what could have happened. I mentioned a cream I've been using that is keeping my face more exfoliated but immediately realized that couldn't be it because I don't put the cream on my eyelids. But she immediately latched on to that idea and started repeatedly telling me I shouldn't ask for a wax again. (Side note- when I came in, I asked her opinion on whether I should get waxed or threaded and she said wax.) Then we check out the tint. My eyebrows were not even in shape or darkness. I had her take off the extra in between my eyes in the right side because it was so obvious but I was really just in a hurry to get out of there and put something on my skin to stop it from stinging. She put aloe Vera on earlier but it made them hurt worse. Once I got home I removed the rest of the extra tint that had been left behind. Not once did she apologize and when I paid she even turned the tablet around for a tip. Part of what really upsets me is that she kept telling me I should never ask for wax again- even though I kept telling her this has never happened before. Zero accountability or remorse.

Anywhere that I can make an appointment online, gets an automatic plus in my book. This day and age, I hate talking on the phone for simple things like making an appointment. If you read my other reviews on salons, I've literally been to ones ranging from $$ to $$$$. I was a bit hesitant because my stylist had been in the field for only 3 years; and when I showed her a photo of the lob I was going for this time around, she asked her colleague what kind of cut it was...however, at the end, I was satisfied with the end result. I got home and there was a spot on my hair right on the front left side that the bleach touched my head and looks like a bald spot. I also had to cut a few stray pieces of my hair that were missed. This is absolutely inexcusable especially for the owner of a salon and for the expensive price I had to pay. I will not be returning and do not recommend.

Also every now and then I'll treat myself to a quick mask they have like two options and it's only 12 dollars!
