For the ambiance I'd give 4 stars, despite the fact there was no background music and for an Indian…read morerestaurant it'd be nice to hear some.
Let's start with their Chai tea, very much bitter, like the leaves were infused for too long and lost their properties. Also it comes in a very small cup and there's no refill.
The menu is satisfyingly wide, several deals available, including the appetizers and a vegetarian 4 courses.
The starters are almost all fried, and not the kind of fry you would pin as light and crispy.
The vegetarian menu is served in a tray that looks like the school mess's one, while if you order single dishes from the menu are all in their Indianish pots and cups.
The servers tend to be rushy, like they're impatience to get the order and they suppose you know all the dishes by heart.
We were 15 people, a big table, ok, but it would have been nice to have the dishes served in an order anyway: from appetizers to dessert, not all together. Also some of them were forgotten.
At the end of the dinner, when they asked for desserts, I had the one included in my menu, the server didn't even bothered to come near me and take my order, so I just didn't get it.
Overall, it used to be a very nice restaurant, right now I think it lives on its past reputation.
