Needless to say, I was hungry upon arrival half past noon. I also was not in the mood for pizza, pasta, or panini, so I was excited to see there was a (North) Indian restaurant on the way to the Leaning Tower.
The owner is from Punjab and this restaurant has been open since '17. He was eager to greet me in English, probably because he saw a fellow desi and assumed, lol! Because with the next couple that walked in right after me, he had no issues speaking in Italian with them!
To start, I got some pappadums and chutneys on the house. For my meal, I ordered onion kulcha (flat bread with diced onion) and veg kebab. The food was very filling, although on the dry side, so it helped to have the chutney around. I was also given a plate of raw onion---fine by me!
Everything cost €13 and was absolutely filling and delicious. Definitely come to Pisa for an appetite for north Indian food!!
