The facilities felt a little outdated, but I think it's a great value if you are a regular member for the $125/month for unlimited classes.

It is a family-owned studio and just has a nice vibe. I have had some great teachers in the past, and even had Valeire Rocky (famous dancer) as a teacher for a few years. The dances are always fun. Unfortunately, the costumes are so so so expensive. All in all, it has been a great experience for me, and I am glad I found my passion at a very young age. I also do IYBC (Indianapolis Youth Ballet Company), and it is great! We learn professional level dances, at younger ages. I have been doing pointe at Tippy Toes for three years now, with miss Pamela Arnold every year. I genuinely enjoy everything I get to do here, and practice here has given me experience that not a lot of people can say they have gotten. During quarantine, he is leading classes over Zoom (aka Zoomba, get it?) and I highly recommend them for people of any skill/experience level who want to get their heart pumping and forget they're even working out. The dances are perfect, just challenging enough - not super easy, but after a few classes you'll start to have the routines memorized. I haven't taken his other classes yet at Riolo but look forward to one day as I have heard great things! If you like zumba-style classes then you know it's all about having a great instructor. Once you find one you love, it becomes the best part of your day and you never want to miss a class. That is Xavier to so many people in Indy! Hip hop classes, yes please!…read more One of the most legit hip hop teachers in the city, Fonzie, made the class fun and interactive. The class itself is an hour and fairly low-key - just pure fun. Everyone learns new moves for the first 20 minutes of class, learn a dance, and then do it in groups of two with Fonzie. Only $10 a class. Music: Loved it. Lots of Chris Brown and Bruno Mars. The class can also request songs for choreography each week. Studio: Spacious and modern, the studio boasts a huge mirror, exterior seating, and a huge dance floor. It's a bit hispanic too and made me want to take a salsa class later too. Location: The building is on the corner of Michigan and Capitol, but the door is a bit hidden and is located on Capitol. Look for the Riolo Dance logo printed on the door, walk in, and take the elevator to the second floor.

It has built her confidence by giving her accomplishments that she can show us. They have found her strengths and let her be strong with them. They have found her weaknesses and made them better and taught her not to be afraid of them. This last weekend (early November), there was a two hour free dance night in exchange for a good drive. My son went to the free night with my daughter. He didn't really want to go, but when we showed up to watch what he learned, my son was excited and had a great time. When he left, he was hugging the instructors and telling them thank you. I can say that it can seem hectic when it is time to drop off and pick up. It is a busy place with a small-medium waiting area. But, I will also say that once you come here, you'll learn the rhythm and realize that there is an order to it all. Sign up is a breeze, on the PunchPass website which is linked to her Facebook posts. Erin is very thorough in her social media posts so that you can get all the information you need for her classes very easily. Schedules and locations of her classes are also posted to her Facebook page. She also has text and email that you can sign up for so that you never miss a class or a bit of DanceFit news. Don't feel intimidated by not knowing the dance moves right away. Just move at your own page, and most importantly, have fun! I think they are geographically and conceptually positioned to do well. Pronounced "three one seven", their street dance academy is the only dance studio in Indy whose concentration is the art of breakdance. They offer classes for 5-years-olds on up through adults of all ages (our lead instructor told us they recently taught a 70-something yr old). It's not only fun and interesting, it's fantastic exercise. The moves definitely work your core muscles. I would imagine in a more traditional class as opposed to our quicker demo, that it's a full-body and cardio workout, improving both strength and endurance/stamina. Our lead instructor "Seoul" taught us some basics. He's smart, charismatic and has a laid-back style that dispels self-consciousness by the class. We explored Toprock footwork, Freezes, and some mechanics of Powermoves. There's a lot physics that goes into to this dance form, which Seoul pointed out. He also brought a cultural context to a lot of what we were doing. I was impressed that they had 5 staff at our evening event, which ran 8-9:30p. After we guests were asked to show what we'd learned by putting it all together, the four dance instructors each brought signature moves to the floor. Breakdancing can be broken down into Breakin' and Popping, and one instructor, "Nimbus", was particularly skilled at the latter. They also have an awesome DJ. They're running half-day kids camps for 2 weeks in June. The weeks are divided by age group, so DEFINITELY check out their website for the deets. If your kids like Wii and Fortnite dancing this is the real deal. What a fantastic way to get our kiddos off their devices and into some healthy exercise, as well as expose them to something they're too young to have experienced the first time. That's right, me- hater of all workouts, lover of all foods and my alone time on the couch. I will break my neck to get here on time for Tawj's Monday and Friday Hip Hop class. The music is great, dancing is fun, and Tawj will push you. I even love (and simultaneously hate) the ab workouts. The gym offers bootcamps, group workouts, and fitness challenges. Kyle & Rubi do an incredible job from helping you understand the basics to ensuring you grow as a dancer and as a person. I now consider the studio my second home and cannot recommend enough to check out the studio or any of the events that they host!
