Healthy Expectations offers a variety of PT modalities: women's health, orthopedic, pelvic floor as well as vestibular/balance rehabilitation. They effectively treat GYN pain, urinary incontinence, as well as any orthopedic problem with joints, spine or muscular weakness. Women who have issues related to pregnancy can benefit from their knowledge and abilities. New Indiana law allows any of us direct access to these professionals for 24 days without a physician's referral. Near the end of that time and therapy is incomplete, the therapist will contact the doctor with the appropriate information to get the order for continued care Healthy Expectations' office is located near Parkview Regional Medical Center with easy access directly from the parking lot. All the therapist hold credentials in their specialties. The office support staff are friendly and insurance knowledgeable. I just completed a month of therapy for biceps tendonitis. They continue to help me progress and I know if you follow their instructions, you will heal quickly and feel much better. When I arrived at 10:45 a.m. to check in, the receptionist told me that I was late and that my appointment was actually scheduled for 10:30 a.m. I had received a confirmation message several days before my appointment showing the appointment time I was given, and I tried to show the receptionist the email to explain that there appeared to be an error in their system. She was rude and would not even look at the email I was trying to show her. Because of the scheduling issue, I was told that I would have to wait until everyone else was seen before I could be seen, even though I arrived at the time I was instructed to arrive. I asked to speak with a manager because I felt this situation was unfair. The manager apologized, but the response felt dismissive, and I did not feel that anyone took responsibility for the inconvenience or the possibility that I could miss my appointment because of an error on their end. I understand that scheduling mistakes can happen, but I expected the staff to listen, review the confirmation I had received, and treat me with basic courtesy. Instead, I left feeling frustrated and as though my time did not matter. I hope management addresses how situations like this are handled in the future so other patients do not have the same experience.

I was a few days away from a business trip to California, and I needed to see a doctor. I was…read moresuffering from a skin condition in my scalp that was bothersome and painful. I did not have time to see a dermatologist as the earlier appointment was well after my time in California. I needed immediate relief. I was in Fort Wayne and decided to go to Physicians Urgent Care as it was listed on my insurance plan. I came in and asked to see a doctor. After filling out some paperwork, i waited my turn. I noticed most of the people in the urgent care that day were people to do mandatory testing for work. After about 20 minutes, I was taken inside and spoke with a nurse and told her my issue. She saw the problem and said a doc would come in a bit. Another 15 minutes later, spoke with the doctor and explained the situation. He prescribed me some doxycycline and prednisone. After a few days of taking the meds, I was in good shape. If you need to see a doc quickly but its not something for the ER, go to Physicians Urgent Care!
