By Cadillac standards I'd give them a 4, compared to a restaurant in a larger city I'd give them a 3-3.5. It's nice to have an Indian food option in Cadillac, finally! My friend who lives here frequents this restaurant and this was my first time here. We ordered their naan, which was ok (tasted store bought), as they were out (make sure they aren't out), their chicken tikka masala, which was pretty good and their shahi paneer, which was also pretty good. Their food is on the mild side, I got a 3 level but could've done a 5 level. They do give you something to spice up your food. I'm going with the assumption that they tone down their food to make it more accessible to people that normally don't order Indian food. Service was pretty good too! read more

This is a newer restaurant in Cadillac that my husband and I, and some friends, decided to try while we were recently in the area. None of our friends had tried Indian before, and my husband and I are pretty limited as to what we have had in the past. My husband and I split an order of Chicken Korma, an order of Samosas and some garlic naan. Everything was real good, but I didn't feel the Samosas were worth the price that we paid. I can get better at Trader Joe's. Two friends got the Butter Chicken, with one getting the spicy sauce on the side. The guy that got the sauce on the side was very thankful that he got it that way as the other guy could hardly eat his because it was too spicy for him. Keep that in mind when you order. All of our friends enjoyed their first experience with Indian food. Just a heads up, we were served on disposable plates. There was a sign on the door that they were missing a few employees so they didn't have anyone to wash the dishes. I don't know how true that is, and while it didn't affect the way the food tasted, it DID affect the experience of eating in a nice restaurant. read more

My daughter and I discovered this restaurant by chance while on a road trip from Marquette to Kalamazoo. We thought Cadillac would be a good place to have dinner, so we drove around the city a bit until we saw "INDIAN SPICE." The sign seemed to be beckoning us, so we went inside and had a wonderful meal. Both the food and the service were outstanding. We've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants over the years, and we felt this was the best Indian food we've had in a long time--perhaps the best ever. If only we lived in Cadillac, we would come here all the time. read more

This place is sooo good, seriously! I would say MUCH better since they re-opened...I come here regularly and everything is always fresh and full of flavor and amazing....they will even kick up the spice when requested, which is hard to find in Cadillac! MORE PEOPLE SHOULD COME HERE - there is something for everyone, a great menu selection, a huge variety for meat-eaters, vegetarians and seafood lovers. Indian Spice has had a tough start... but it's so much better ! i love the menu as it's got pictures (nice ones) and food option description's ... much better!!! i'd suggest David put the same menu on yelp it's better with pictures! We had a wonderful meal and i'd highly recommend Indian Spice ... i'm sure you will agree it's a great to have this healthy food option in Cadillac! It's the most unlovely restaurant I've ever been in. Zero decor and no music, so you're sort of stuck hearing what everyone else is talking about. The service was ok. I simply ordered soup, because I feel if the soup is good other food will be. Nope not the case. The soup tasted like it had sugar in it, the lentils were sparse and not cooked enough, and any other flavor in the soup couldn't even try to get through. It was bad. I didn't finish it. I did order samosa, they were actually pretty good but don't get too excited. The pastry was really good and the filling was nice but again no flavor. Even the cilantro sauce was bland. I just don't get it. When I eat Indian food I expect flavor, I want flavor and I love flavor. I won't be back. Best of luck and stop catering to thinking people won't come because you have too much flavor. Goodness knows people need some kick ass flavor in central Michigan. And right now you don't have any. A hot dog would have been a better choice today and I actually don't like hot dogs. read more

Spotless inside. Outside could use some help. Place was very empty at 7:30 on a Friday. Food is excellent. Spice level at low is very low so if you like a very little bite get medium. Curry goat and chicken masalla both tender and plenty to eat. read more

DELICIOUS. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is pleasant, but most importantly the food is incredible. Every time I visit the area, I make sure to have at least one meal here. They're happy to adjust spiciness based on your preferences and are friendly and helpful. Several vegan options. Everything I have eaten there is flavorful and delicious. Oh my God I can't believe we have such an amazing place in little Cadillac. Everything was so delicious. If you haven't tried this place you're missing out. My husband and I tried a salad, aloo puri, butter lamb and the chicken tandoori. Everything was cooked perfectly. If you like spicy like we do just tell them. Our service was also amazing and the restaurant is clean. I just hope we keep this gem. read more

Glad to have the Indian option in Cadillac. The take out menu is nice and complete and the lunch buffet rotates on a weekly basis. The raita was very good as were the samosas. Overall, the food even though authentically seasoned was just a little bland. Could up the spice level a bit. read more
