A completely unprofessional experience ... We were seeking a place for our dogs from 10/4 to 10/14, but our normal place as booked. This was our first and LAST experience with Indian Shoals. We received an email at 5:17pm on10/3 requesting a deposit payment by 5:30pm. My spouse went online and paid. The payment processed through their system at 5:32pm (it shows a 5:26pm time from our bank). I get a text at 5:53pm stating our reservation was cancelled due to no deposit. I text them and inquired about it, they said it was processed too late (their system!) and the reservation was cancelled with NO REFUNDS. After some banter, they "did me a favor" and fixed it - what "favor" it was your system issue?! So, I agreed to allow my dogs to stay. I dropped them off at 2pm on 10/4 with an expected pick up time at or around the same time. On 10/14 I get a text if my dogs are not picked up by 11:45am there would be a late charge (even though I dropped off at 2pm!). I arrive at 11:57, due to some traffic SO they tried to charge me $15 each dog for being late. I told the front deck employee I dropped off at 2pm, with a 2pm pick up. She said "our system" shows 11:45 scheduled pick up, so your late. I paid the $15 each dog "late fee", it is $30 total, after some banter with the front desk employee ---- BUT, they have lost any future business from me. After I reviewed the invoice emailed to me, I noticed I was charged for an additional day of boarding. I had to call and request a refund for their error. I was told they "don't do refunds" - this was their error and they did not want to refund it! ... they finally agreed to refund the $57 over charge, stated it would be refunded to my credit card. After waiting three days for a refund confirmation and several follow up conversations, then they said they would mail me a check for the $57.00. A refund that could have been done same day took over a week to receive via check. Very unprofessional! While I understand owning and operating a small business, their policies add more stress to the process, the person who handles their text interactions is rude over text, and check your invoices for errors. Now lets talk about my pets - they were literally starving when I pickup them up on the 14th. They each ran into the house searching for food and water, acting like they never ate. I supplied ample food for each dog, enough to have extra, which I never was offered back (I forgot to ask with all the frustration). They can keep the extra food, but hopefully this review helps others make better decision on where to trust their animals. Just Stay Away !!! read more

Great grooming by an artist who made by little guy simply so handsome he knew he looked great! All he needed was a top hat and a cane to be a proper gentleman. Our 2 girls were very well groomed as well and needed no help in prancing as they came out of the grooming room. This resort is so much more than grooming since they are family owned and operated. Our fur babies always told us how their stay was by either being super quiet, not eating or acting like they were not happy period. We love Indian shoals pet resort. They take great care of our puppy when we're away! They also groom him. He enjoys visiting!

There is no A/C for summer. The place is extremely loud, almost unbearable. They charge extra for allowing dogs outside of their kennels. Dogs are forced to poop their kennel concrete floor unless you pay extra for "potty breaks" or "park run". The place is dated, dirty and not the kind of kennel I will employ. My tour today was the second time I have visited, and had the same conclusions. read more

Indian Shoals is one of the best ran facilities in Gwinnett. They are highly recommended in our community and I personally refer all of my friends and their beloved pets to them. Kind, caring, and most of all professional. When I travel and have to leave my pets for work related events. It was the first time either of my dogs have been boarded. My older dog (13) has a few issues due to back surgery a few years ago and he is deaf. Needless to say I was anxious about leaving them, however, I came back to find 2 very happy dogs. The care they were given had to have been terrific because they wanted to wander around before getting in the car to go home. The staff was very nice and listened to all my worries etc.. I highly recommend Indian Shoals and will use them again if the occasion arises. read more

I have been using Indian Shoals for 3 years now. They are very friendly and love the animals they are caring for. My girl gets so excited when we pull up and she realizes she is about to see Jared and Christy. They will keep you updated and send you pictures of you want them to. I have been nothing but highly satisfied with Indian Shoals Pet Resort and the staff. Our dogs are like our kids and Christi and her staff treat them the same. EVERY time we have taken them the staff has been super friendly and very helpful and remember all about our family and our dogs. The facility is very clean and always smells good when you walk in. We have boarded them several times and I haven't had one hesitation because I know they are being well taken care of. I have gone to other groomers in the past where my dogs are trying to escape and run out the door but at Indian Shoals they go right in without a problem which sets my mind at ease knowing that they are happy there. We now live 45 minutes away and I will still take my dogs there because of the care they have received. read more

Used them for first time because our normal boarding place was closed for vacation. At first glance, my dog seemed to be having a flashback to her days at the dog pound because of the large kennel atmosphere. But, what really disappointed me was the staff's attitude. I got charged for "park walks" that I know that I did not explicitly request. In fact, I remember turning them down when offered. However, when I questioned the amount of my bill and was told that it included park walks, I was met with attitude when I said that I did not request them. They took them off the bill. But, once I again I was met with bad attitude when my dog was brought out. I was told we "never put parks walks" on the bill unless "they are specifically requested." I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but stating that they might have misunderstood me when I had mentioned that my dog liked to run outside. But instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt, the staff member once again implicitly accused me of lying but stating firmly that the kennel "NEVER" adds the walks unless they specifically are requested. Three bits of advice for this staff member (or owner): First class businesses assume the "customer is always right", NEVER implicitly accuse a customer of lying especially if you have no hard foundation to do so (like a request in writing), and apologize to the customer even if you think they are in the one in the wrong (there will be time to complain about it to your co-workers later) Even without this bad experience I would not return here. Our fav boarding spot Lucky Dog Pet Motel, is closer and takes dog out for potty breaks 2-3 times a day in a great grassy shaded back yard at no extra charge (this costs you extra at ISPR). If they are busy again, I will have to find another alternate spot. read more

Have boarded my dogs here for years and used the grooming services. I love it and the pets love it. Huge pens with doggie beds. Free run or leashed walks and exercise time. And crazy...but they now have big screen TVs in the boarding halls playing animal planet. They say it tends to be soothing to the animals. Reasonable prices and fair policies. Love these folks.....in the country on a farm...no shopping mall and cages here!!! Biscuit says he like it too! read more
