Bhindi Masala
Taisiya S.

I had the Bhindi Masala and it was one of the best I have had. My photo has it mixed with some other food that I got from another cart so it's a lil misleading. Sorry. But the spice on this was perfect and so flavorful. I am definitely a fan and will be coming back here to try more of their food.

Great food, clean and tidy with the perfect service. We wanted Extra Spicy Shrimp Biryani and they made sure we had a taste test to make sure it's to our liking

We stopped in on Christmas afternoon to check out the food carts. So glad to have found this place. We had the most delicious, biggest vegetable pakodas ever! Thank you! We Will be back to try more food on the menu

Vegetable pakora, veggie samosas, garlic naan, chicken gao curry (made spicy)

This place is SO good!!! Giant samosas, really yummy veggie pakora (perfectly fried), amazing chutney, and the owners are super nice. We got a delicious indian food feast with plenty of leftovers... and a motherload of chutney. Great spot! Almost hate to share it because I don't want to wait in line, but this spot deserves it!

I really like the lamb curry here. It is exactly like what I ate in India. Its spice level is spot on and the portions are generous.

Once my food arrived, I started eating and forgot to take a picture. Their food is that good and I'm not a vegan. The portion size was average. I will order again. Mirisata is such a unique place. I'm happy I live in Portland to be able to patronize this restaurant. P.S. If you dine in, they are tip less. I came with three friends for lunch; we all placed individual orders then took our numbers (on a small standup sign) back to our table to chat and enjoy the day. Soon food came for the two men in our party, and we women encouraged them to eat rather than wait on our food. So eat they did, and in another 10 or so minutes more food arrived, but not my order. After a short discussion we realized that my food had been given to one of the men, and he had eaten it; now the food he actually ordered arrived, leaving him with two meals and me with none. Our server seemed to think it was our fault that we got the wrong food, and brought me a roti to eat but never replaced my meal. I was not pleased to have spent $17.50 for a serving of roti, which wasn't exactly the lunch I had paid for. I think i wpuld have liked the food if I'd had a chance to eat what I ordered. it would be most appropriate for the restaurant to refund my money since, through no fault of my own, I did not receive the food I paid for. It was the server who mistakenly put my food down elsewhere, and my friend who ate it had no idea it wasn't his. Unfortunately there was not so much as an apology, and I won't be returning to Mirasata.

There's…read moredefinitely a part of me that misses pre-pandemic era when lunch buffets were common place and this place is only a few blocks from my office. I got there a little after 11:30. The sign said the buffet started at 11:30 but they weren't ready, so I had to wait a little bit. Not a big deal, especially when a place is trying something new. It gave me an opportunity to check out the space. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, it's a little over the top, with the decor pushing towards opulent but not in an overly stuffy way. The buffet was setup along the bar top, and it was clear they were still figuring it out. Instead of chafing dishes and sternos, they were using electric warming trays and setting out the cookware on top of them. Price wise, it's $20, which feels like the going rate these days (i.e. it's the same as Namaste). That being said, the smaller setup and the individually cooked items meant a way higher quality of food. There was a chicken curry, mushroom magic, a daal, chicken tikka, gulab jamun and a handful of other items including a fusion quesadilla with chicken and pieces of fried paneer. The curry was fine, nothing special. The daal (I think tadka?) was a little thinner than I prefer and a slightly over-seasoned, but was good even with the over seasoning. The mushroom magic was good, but the real spotlight was the chicken tikka. With everything being prepared in smaller batches than the stereotypical buffet, this was the moistest chicken tikka I ever had, and the texture and flavor far exceeded anything I would expect from a buffet. They did bring out fresh naan, but that felt like something they were doing since it was still new/slow, i.e. they had naan on the buffet line too. The only thing I would have liked would have beeen some achar, but I'm sure that puts me in a very small slice of potential customers. Definitely see myself coming back here, and ideally dragging along some of my coworkers. tl;dr; smaller buffet with incredible quality due

I would consider coming back to dine in with friends. The sliders were so good! My coworkers were not impressed by the looks due to the simple looking buns and American cheese but I can vouch that the taste was 5 stars. Check them out!

Indian. Supper Club. Tasty food and good conversation with strangers!…read more You buy tickets online in advance, which are $45 plus a 15% gratuity in advance, for a total of $51.75 each. Our party of five was seated at a communal table with another party of three. We eventually ended up partially joining conversations, but I have mixed feelings about the communal dining format in general, but the more outgoing folks in our party enjoyed it! We had a great time, starting our drinks with individual gin and tonics and then moving to a bottle of wine for a few of us. The food was delicious and very abundant. There was a lot left over on the table after all of courses, which I hope was eaten later by staff. Otherwise it's a lot of waste. Food included samosas with four different sauces including an amazing eggplant dish; roasted seasonal fall vegetables with a yogurt sauce; rice and sautéed greens; chicken kofta meatballs in a tomato curry sauce; Kheer rice pudding with hot spiced chai tea. The chef and staff were friendly and interacted with us while serving. Overall, we had a great dinner and met some interesting folks at our table. A great experience and fairly affordable compared to other supper club type experiences.

There were four generous courses and chai - I cannot stress enough that every course was exceptionally good. There were NO leak winks. Course one - an onion uttapam with fresh coconut chutney and the best sambar I've ever had (and I've had many!). Course two - curry mussels with coconut milk ("Mussels Malabar") served with piping hot flatbread. Course three - rustic chicken curry, served with a lemony rice and a shockingly interesting cabbage dish. Course four - an Indian dessert that was a combination of rice pudding and bananas foster. The entire family left stuffed to the gills and smiling. Dinner is in a cozy kitchen with family style tables - service was extremely attentive but convivial. I would not hesitate to go again. At $50 a person, it's a great value and walks the perfect line between elegance/sophistication and comfort/warmth.

The interior was very warm, inviting and attractive. The gentleman running the place was very friendly, personable and efficient. Bathrooms were very clean. The food was all great, but the star of the show was the Aloo Tikki Chaat, the menu description of two potato patties doesn't do it justice. It was a flavor bomb. It comes with mint chutney, tamarind chutney and raita. This dish also comes with a side of chana masala, which is a chickpea stew. The sauces added even more flavor and the chana masala was divine. Although it's an appetizer, it's pretty big. It could be a full meal for one person or you could add a couple of sides and it would work for two. We decided to split the chicken curry and the Daal Mah, another bean stew. The chicken curry was beyond, the chicken was so tender. The Daal was also quite good and both came with rice. We ordered mild and next time I would go up one level on the spiciness, it would add some oomph to the flavor. But we still really enjoyed both dishes. I'm shocked that on a Saturday at noon it was only us and one other table. This was a fantastic meal. Do yourself a favor and go there!!
