Since most of my business meetings have been lately in Buckhead, it is easy to fly into Atlanta and take the train from the airport directly to my destination. The train seems to always run on time and the train cars are quite clean.

I imagine this station being busier on weekdays when people are working at the office, but we had no issues getting to and from here. The Peachtree Center Station is where you'll want to go for Centennial Olympic Park, Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium, so it's a huge tourist area. Soon after you exit the station, all of this is within a few blocks walking. There are also signs in the station that point out the different directions/streets, so you can exit and enter on different sides of the station. I recommend anyone visiting the area, especially from the airport, to use MARTA, an easy and affordable way to get around the area.

When we first got off the train, we didn't look at the signs and just exited to the street so we ended up walking a lot more the first day but once you realize all the demarcations, you'll be fine. We actually found an exit closer to our hotel, without having to walk up hill. SCORE!!! The station looks clean and feels pretty safe. I agree that it's a bit dark but I kind of think it adds to the charm a bit. I love the monitors that let you know when the next train is coming. The escalators are interesting to say the least. They do take forever but they are very long and better than having to walk up 4 flights of stairs, especially with baggage. And once we found the exit that didn't involve a hill, the escalator in that area was a bit shorter.

It consists of 21 gates, opened in 1987, and is primarily used by Delta and American airlines. It initially functioned as the airport's international concourse, with its own baggage claim area and security entrance. With the opening of the new international concourse (E) in 1994, concourse T was converted to a domestic concourse, which is what it is today. It is the very last stop (or the very first, depending on how one looks at it) of the Plane Train. It ended up being the concourse that we left from, when flying from Atlanta back to LAX. It was conveniently reachable by taking aforementioned train from the international terminal.

Unfortunately, the location of a station usually determines the level of upkeep & cleanliness. For the most part, the stations from Buckhead to North Springs are in pretty good condition with ample places to sit & such. Station Highlights: *Daily & long-term parking - free for less than 24 hours *Local, regional & shuttle bus connections *Surrounded by Perimeter Mall, the central business district, numerous restaurants & multi-family residential areas. *Outdoor platform with various sheltered seating. Both Marta & Dunwoody Law Enforcement are present here, perhaps due to the annex to Perimeter Mall.
