What an amazing experience!! Went for the first time and it won't be my last time. I haven't really expanded my food horizons with Indian food, but this was a phenomenal place to start. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had the Vegetable Bakora with Mint and Tamarind Chutney sauces, Chicken Karara Balti, Lamb Loin Chops (not on original menu, but hopefully on an updated menu coming soon), Garlic Naan, and for dessert the Kulfee! Wonderful experience!

Flavor is there but small portions and no spice.

Ordered here for take out from door dash. Delicious food, fast (maybe too fast because they forgot the spice) and prompt. However the items we ordered, (Buttered chicken and chicken Biryani) were not spicy at all despite of us noting on the order "HOT" with extra hot sauce on the side (which we did not receive). We called and inquired about the order. The owner mentioned to make sure we make note of the level of spice on the order (which we did and noted HOT) and that next time we need to call the restaurant and let them know how spicy we want the order, after ordering the order. Haha For $40 (without delivery fees) two small lunch entrees and naan, I don't know if I would return. It's great tasting though!

In Mankato for the day and checked out yelp for lunch suggestions . I happily landed at Indian Palace. Very clean inside and comfortable booths and tables. There are some outdoor tables on a patio. I ordered the chai tea, pashwari naan and chicken and mushrooms. Everything was hot as it came to the table. The pashwari hot naan was perfectly cooked-crispy outside and doughy inside. The only bad thing is using their table as childcare. I totally understand that it's summer and the young girl may not have any other option but the loud tv was a huge distraction. Other than that, everything was great! Would return.

I love this place! My husband and I have eaten here many times this year. We've really been trying to support local restaurants during the pandemic. India Palace is our favorite place to stop when we're in Mankato. All of the staff are incredibly friendly. The food always comes out hot, fresh, and delicious. Our personal favorites are the garlic naan, the Gobi Manchurian Balti (favorite thing on the menu) and the Vegetable Biryani. Their chai and rice pudding are great options if you want something sweet. All in all, I would highly recommend visiting if you're in Mankato! There aren't a ton of local options, in the area but this is a true gem.

This was my first time trying Indian food. The wait to be seated was non existent and we're greeted by a friendly host. Once seated it was about a ten minute wait to get our drinks and order placed. Certainly an area for growth. The waiter was very friendly and helpful when ordering. I was with two other people. The food preparation time was extremely long pushing 20 minutes. I was told that Indian takes longer to cook. Food delivery was not done at same time with my food arriving minutes before the rest of the group. It was served hot and stayed hot even though I had to wait to eat. One of the drink orders was forgotten. It was a quiet place that had great decor. For a first timer food was not bad. We ordered the mild spice which had a slight kick.

The tikka masala was really good. Also enjoyed the sauces that came with the Pakora appetizer.

It was not, it was an assortment of dishes which were all tasty. There was rice, naan, a chicken dish, a lamb/beef dish, a veggie dish, a crunchy bread, and a piece of galub jamun for dessert. The lamb was probably was favorite and was gone very quickly. The chicken was a close second and had a ton of flavor which the naan soaked up nicely. The galub jamun was a pleasant surprise as well. I got an order to go, it was syrupy and a perfect sweet treat to end a savory meal. I would go back! P.s. I ordered mild and the nice waitress politely insisted on medium. It wasn't an issue but I was glad I didn't order it any hotter than that lol!

We easily found parking right outside. It's a calm and casual atmosphere that is great for families, small groups, and solo diners. Love learning? You'll be slightly transfixed by their TV, which had fascinating programming about food from around the world. There to catch up and enjoy the company? It's easy to do--the volume in the restaurant is moderate. Our server, Siva, had wonderful suggestions for us. The menu is awesome and features a wide range of options, from street food to regional specialties. If you're not sure what something is or whether it would be up your alley, ask: they'll have your back. There are ample options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores, and there is tons of flexibility on spice level. Everything is cooked to order. We started with the vegetarian momo, which came with two sauces--one spicy and the other not. Both were delicious and complex. (The spicy one was indeed spicy, which was really delightful--I love it when I find a true "spicy"; it's not always easy in the Midwest!) For my main, I ordered the malai kofta, which is one of my favorites. It's a comforting dish that is highly seasoned and has loads of depth. It's rich, savory, salty, and a bit sweet--basically a hug on a plate. I ordered it medium, but next time will probably go with hot. We also had the bullet naan (with green chilis), which was a real treat. This restaurant has more than the average number of naan options, and they all looked great. We definitely chose wisely--this unique naan was truly delicious and was perfect for scooping up the sauces. (Highly recommended.) I also had a mango lassi. It was definitely a winner: creamy, sweet, and tart, it was just what I needed for balance. If you like Indian and Himalayan, Thaliwala will be right up your alley. It's definitely worth the trip, even if it's not in your neck of the woods.

Restaurant is clean, service is great, plenty of parking since it's in a strip mall. I think they do a lot of take out orders. We went for lunch and ordered a dish (chicken tikka masala) from the $15 lunch special. They also have lunch specials of 2 curry or 3 curry options. But our favorite of lamb vindaloo wasn't a lunch option so we ordered that separately along with tandoori chicken. The tandoori chicken came with a chutney rack (dipping sauces) and the vindaloo came with a side of naan. Normally naan is ordered separately and doesn't come free with dishes, only certain ones. Everything was delicious. The tandoori chicken came sizzling hot and was tender and juicy. Both curries (ordered at medium spice) were so flavorful! Good amount of protein in each. We also ordered the pickle accompaniment and that was a miss for us. It's not our taste. Highly recommend this place .

The spot shares a very small parking lot with the attached brewery, so it's a bit of a roulette wheel on whether or not you'll find something close. The interior was nicer than expected: very clean, organized, and inviting! I didn't interact too much with the staff, but they were friendly and it was a smooth pick-up. I had the Delhi's Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. The naan was tasty and not too buttery, which I appreciated. The Butter Chicken was surprisingly nuanced, with warm spices and a great combo of flavors. I'm used to Butter Chicken being some of the simplest Indian cuisine, so shout-out to India Palace for not being afraid to add some character to it. I did, however, find cartilage and a few decently sized bones in my chicken, which wasn't expected and detracted from the meal. I'll definitely be back to get takeout again soon and maybe even try the experience of dining in!

Service was friendly and the food came out fast. I ordered the Tandoori Dinner for 2 and I was blown away by how much food came with it! The samosa was hot and the outside was nice and crispy. The rogan josh was a little on the gamier side and the vegetable curry was flavorful. The sizzling plate of chicken, shrimp, veggies, and seekh kabab was incredible and the portion was so generous. The veggies had a little bit of acidity which helped balance the dish. The garlic naan was fluffy and loaded with butter and garlic. The kulfi has a mild sweetness but it was very creamy. At $38.99 it was a ton of food for two people. I also ordered the Mango Lassi which was creamy and sweet, and not too tart.
