This place is JUST OK. I always try not to look at reviews before writing my our reviews. I will admit I did notice the amount of stars they had before even thinking of stepping foot and giving my money away. When you walk in you notice there are tons of empty to go boxes on empty tables. The place looks like it hasn't been remodeled or decorated since the 70s. They had quite a few families eating dinner which assured me this place must be good. Customer service upon entering was not good. A middle aged woman that couldn't be bothered to be friendly or smile. We immediately went to get our food. They charge by the size of your bowl, however... they chop everything in huge chunks which as you can image fills your bowl super quickly. I love my veggies and ended up with a bunch of broccoli and noddles in my bowl but once it was cooked down it seemed like all noodles. This place will only be great if you know your flavors and how to blend them together. I had finished my drink with a few sips and the lady just kept passing by and did offer to fill it after we had finished eating and given the bill. Sad to say...I left regretting trying this place. I would not recommend this place unless you don't care about customer service and know how to mix your flavors to get what you would like. read more

Fantastic place that brings back many childhood memories. You walk in and they may seat you or you get to seat yourself from there the very welcoming staff will ask for your drink. Then you treat the place basically like a buffet and charges based off bowl. There is a wide variety and tons of sauces. Near the sauces you hand your bowl to the chef and they cook it from there. Your overall bowl price may change based off it being cooked down. For college students this is a very friendly and reasonable price . 10/10 would bring a group of friends with here! read more

LOVE the food here. The service is okay, but basic. The atmosphere is pretty bad and outdated. But if you're hungry - this is a great place to have a great feast! I don't know where the 3 1/2 star rating for this restaurant comes from. The food is always excellent. And that's because of the way it's cooked on that huge circular grill. To me, this is probably the healthiest restaurant in town to eat out. You choose your ingredients. You can go vegan or have nothing but meat if you choose. The price is so reasonable and family of four can eat there for under 35 bucks with everyone having a pop. It is definitely a family-owned enterprise. *Please remember to tip the guys at the grill. I have been all over the US, and being a heavy traveler I enjoy Mongolian as it is healthy & fresh. For being in a small town in Minnesota, it was one of the cleanest I have been too. This is including all the big chains. Don't let the bad window treatment fool you. When you want Mongolian you can only hope for a wide arrange of meats and veggies, clean restaurant and buffet station, & chop sticks. The food was great and I walked away pleased. It had to be good for me to write this review only a few days after eating there. I give this place an A+ Dine confidently! read more

Similar to a Mongolian Grill from Davenport I always went to (same sauces, etc), and I loved eating here while I lived in Mankato! Of the types of Mongolian places like this, I love it! It's a buffet line where you choose your ingredients and then add your sauces, then they cook it down. I've been to create-your-own stir fry places and it's not the same. Here's what I do for the sauces, just as a fwiw - I start with their "recommendation" for the size I'm using, and then add to it. Depending on what I add to it, affects how it tastes, and I've never been unhappy with how my food has come out. Also, an important consideration for me is food that still tastes good reheated - in some cases I think Mongolian Grill tastes better reheated! Because of the nature of the restaurant, it cross-contamination would be a problem due to allergies, or dietary restrictions, then you'd probably want to avoid places like this in general (in my opinion). read more

There were 2 cooks at the grill it took forever to get through the line to cook our food. The noodles were not good at all and the limited selection of sauces was disappointing. It cost me $47 for 3 adults and 1 kid with one bowl each. If you want Mongolian food stick to Hu-Hot. Much better. It was so bad the water even had a funny taste. Will never be back. read more

The restaurant looks small from the outside but it is actually pretty large inside. You walk in, get seated at your table and the waitress comes to get your drinks and asks if you want their complimentary rice. Then you get up, and go to the buffet of raw, fresh ingredients and you pick your veggies, meats/proteins, noodle of choice and lastly your sauces. By the time that you get up to the grill where they cook the food fresh in front of your eyes, your bowl will be huge and towering with ingredients. I get the small size and I hardly made a dent in it because you get so much food for the price! The first time I went to this place, it looked at first like any other buffet. But with a little guidance from the helpful staff, this restaurant's concept is easy to grasp, and enjoy! You grab a bowl, fill it up with raw veggies, meats, tofu, noodles, whatever you like, and then add your choice of sauces (they have some suggestions posted if you're not sure what to do). You take your bowl to the cooks at the huge grill, and they cook it for you while you watch. Your bowl will be returned to you with all that you put into it, now cooked to perfection and steaming hot! (part if the fun is watching them get the food back into the bowl after they grill it!) My food always stays hot the whole time I'm eating it. I also love the fact that I get to choose everything that goes into my meal, and that the offerings are so healthful. This is super "meh". It is no longer bright and clean. All of their meat selections are decent quality (but I don't understand the pepperoni being on there). I have never bit into my meal and wondered "what the hell was that?" My biggest gripe about the place is that when they are cooking your creation, they move it around in a circle on the grill. So as your meal is going around so are all the others. It tends to mix flavors that way. Took my daughter and her friend to lunch here and the ladies were very polite and the chefs were funny. The girls - both teens who don't eat much - were encouraged by both of the cooks to get more food. The 3 of us were eating and my daughter found a black hair about 4-5 inches long in her food, We are all blonde/dark blonde with long - middle of our back or longer - hair and all 3 of us had our hair put up in ponytails or buns. We were moving my daughter into her apartment to go to school. We mentioned the hair to one of the ladies who was working in the dining room and she seem to imply that customers sometimes put hair in the food. Um gross. So I went off the reviews and are they way off... first we walk in and the place is sooo outdated and we get chewed out by one of the women working bc we only wanted meat and noodles and no veggies and once she understood what we were doing she listened. The environment was awful and icky when I walked in I should of turned around and walked out. The place is unsatisfactory they put their ice in the sink and the lady touches everything ick also the pop is also awful it's all syrup. The food wasn't good at all not a good selection. I will never be going back to this place ! The people were rude ! Service was the worst! The hole tow dollar charge for over filling ....How do they consider over filling ? There is no chart no pound limit you have to stay under .so they can make up something and charge you for it ???? Myself and others I spoke to have had their bill up and down never the same. My friend got his bill witch was 14 dollars I got mine witch was 18 dollars. So where did the difference of 4 dollars come from ? They wouldn't answer me . I really enjoyed the food here. I lived in Hawaii for a couple years and this place blows every Mongolian place out of the water that I've eaten at. The environment isn't the greatest, but their food makes up for it. The amount of choices and the amount of food you're allowed to get is awesome. You will definitely get your money worth.
