Food is good. The location is tucked in a strip mall next to a drugstore. It's got a huge pillar blocking the front of the store so you can barely see it except for the sign. Windows are all covered with signage of menus and specials so do not expect a lot of sunlight in this restaurant. I got the paper dosa which is measured at 2.5 ft. It's essentially a south indian style crepe with potato masala, coconut chutney and a soup on the side. For $9.99 this is a great deal and easily shareable with friends and family. I would say the cook time is a bit slow, just for a simple paper dosa took 20 minutes to make when the restaurant was completely empty so just be aware of that. Lots of free parking. The staff could definitely be happier/more enthusiastic. I've been here three times and they do not seem that helpful navigating the massive indian food menu.

Ok, this place is so amazingly delicious that it took me a very long time to come write a review simply because I am afraid it will become popular and no longer be free of waits. For starters, it's a family busy and they are extremely nice people. Then comes the food. I have tried more than half of the menu, and my recommendations are: lentil soup for appetizer; masala dosa and the sambar are honestly the best in town; butter chicken and chicken tikka masala; and of course plain naan bread. Before coming here I thought the chicken tikka masala at Ghandi Mahal was the best in town, but this is way better!!!!!!! Don't be scared about the location and outside of the place, it is truly friendly. The portion size here is universal size, NOT American size, meaning it's plenty for one. This place is so authentic they even have Thumbs Up!!!!!!!!

What a pleasant surprise! When you walk into this place it seems a little underwhelming, its small (maybe 10 tables) and there are two buffet stations about four feet long but wow! does the food pack a punch. Tons of flavor in all items that i tried and some dishes were even pretty spicy, which i can never get enough of. The chicken curry was super tender and the meat was falling right off the bone. The masala was perfectly creamy. I also loved the chicken soup, which cleared my sinus' it was so zesty! The employees were polite and brought fresh naan to the table which was nice. I will definitely be back, ive paid a heck of a lot more downtown for food of equal caliber. Ill take an affordable hole in the wall over decor any day.

Food is quite tasty. The restaurant is located in the same mall as Kabob place. But the decor and ambience of restaurant is quite bad.The restaurant is small and is blocked by a pillar. It was quite dirty. Customer service was pathetic. I instantly regretted it after entering but still gave it a chance. Have to say the food was really quite tasty. I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the decor and service. I had to ask for water couple of times before it was served. Restaurant was quite empty but the used plates were not even picked up from the table. The Buffet was quite cheap in price, But I felt the quality of food was quite good. I might give it a try and order delivery to see how they fare because of their food. But certainly not going back.

Does this look like $35.00 worth? I sure don't think so.

I have given this place two chances to deliver. Both times they screwed it up. They don't check their online orders. I figured that out the first time, after waiting 90 minutes. This time I called immediately after I placed the order, they said they didn't get it, but never bothered to actually check. Once they checked, LP and behold my order was pending. After 50 minute wait, my phone rang...I'm in a condo, so fully expected delivery to my door. Nope. The guy delivering had kids in the car and couldn't leave them. Don't bother. What I got cost me $35.00. Anywhere else it would have been $20. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Not getting a third chance.

    Delightful vegetarian and meat dishes.

Weekday lunch: $7.50 for buffet+tax - excellent price. The selection was not as varied as it is at $10-11 places but all the main staples are there. The food is tasty, spicy, fresh, constantly refilled. Tandoori chicken is very tender and flavorful - absolutely marvelous! There are multiple rice dishes - rice with vegetables, lemon rice, and rice with goat meat - all are delicious. There are a few vegetarian selections, so for those who are trying to avoid meat - you'll have plenty of choices. The sign outside claims that they only use halal meat. I can definitely say that the chicken and goat are better than most Indian places I've been to. The water is filtered - big plus. The people were polite and prompt. I will certainly go back for more. Raita and mint sauce are available upon request.

It's a yogurt-based curry with CRISPY pakora in it. I came here thinking "any restaurant can make pakora, it's literally just deep-fried, battered vegetables." This was a mistake I have already lived to regret. Before I describe the food, I'll note that I ordered online and was advised to pick it up in 20-35 minutes. I arrived on the later end of this range. I went into the restaurant and no one was seated inside, but it was a Monday night so maybe that's a quiet day for them. I went up to the counter to pick up my order. There was nobody there but someone came out after I rang the bell. I picked up my order and went home, not thinking to check it. I arrived home with the goods in hand. My mother opened it and gave me a look of disappointment, contempt, and disgust. The pakora was cold, limp, and not battered. It seemed like it was microwaved or even just taken straight out of the fridge. We still made the curry, but it was an abomination. I've never had pakora this bad. If you're looking for Indian food in the metro, go literally anywhere else or my Indian mother will be disappointed in you, too.

Bright paint on the walls with colorful photographs, a slightly raised space with cushions that might be used for a performance, and long tables that invite family-style dining. I chose this spot because I was curious about their "Afghan hamburger," which was sausages, hard boiled eggs, various vegetables, and fries with spicy ketchup in a tortilla-like wrap, exactly as described. The fries were pleasantly crispy, and I enjoyed the spicy ketchup. I wanted and got something different. The wrap came with a generous portion of chutney, perhaps the same mint walnut chutney I've seen elsewhere. I washed it down with salt lassi, which hit the spot for me. It wasn't too salty, and it had fresh cucumber in it. I was a little confused when the prices at the register were slightly higher than the prices on the menu, but it was still reasonably priced, especially these days. It would be great if someone updated the menu prices. I took home some sabzi palak (spinach stew) to go. Even though both the stew and the fresh bread it came with had cooled down by the time I got home, they were delicious! As soon as I finished eating, I ran to my computer to look up a recipe. That stew hit it out of the park. I will never think of spinach in the same way again. Next time we're in the neighborhood, I will definitely take my spouse here.

Most of the food they served looked gorgeous, to the point that some may think they were overshadowing the flavor. But I can confidently say that in terms of flavor, many of the dishes were extremely on point as well. Items like the blackened chicken, the tomato dal, the butter chicken, and the palak paneer were very flavorful. The blackened chicken was juicy and tender, too, on top of containing abundant flavor. The samosas contained an abundant amount of potatoes and peas. I could taste a good amount of tomatoes and coconut milk in the butter chicken, which was very creamy. I could also taste very strong garam masala in the palak paneer, which was a great thing. The butter naan was an excellent addition because the flavorful curry definitely needed more than rice to evoke its full potential, and naan bread was perfect for such. In terms of dessert, the mango mousse was incredible! Its soft but solid texture made it very easy to break up and consume, while maintaining its shape without collapsing. The saffron, milk powder, and cream altogether offered a very integral taste that had lots of depth. I honestly want to try all the desserts on their menu, too, like the coconut pannacotta and the basundi pistachio tiramisu, because they both looked amazing on the menu. While this establishment is not one of those places you visit that often, it is perfect for a date night because it has clean and relatively fancy decor along with flavorful food and can evoke a romantic vibe. I will for sure return here in the future and highly recommend it for those looking for quality Indian restaurants!
