The next day I was informed the price for which I hit 'Pay Now' and for which I received a confirmation and an order# was inaccurate. To complete the sale there would be an additional charge of ~$239. I offered to meet them halfway and pay more than their advertised price plus I offered to waive any maintenance/tuning program they offer with new purchases. LBC declined. They refused to honor their advertised price. Informed me I would need to pay $1,948 for a bicycle I thought I had already purchased on their site for $1,684 the day before. All this being said, after we could not come to an agreement, the sale was indeed cancelled and I was not charged. However, it is frustrating I was unable to complete my purchase at the advertised price, particularly after offering a reasonable compromise.

This bike shop is terrible. High prices. Surly owner. Poor selection. Poor repair work…read more I went in to buy a chain for my bike, and the owner asks, "you want me to shorten this for ya?" I said "sure", thinking that since I just paid $22 for a chain, it included matching it to my current chin's length. After he was done, he said, "that will be $5"....I balked. He proceeded to argue with me (his customer) then raised his voice about how his labor isn't free.....blah, blah, blah..... I have a chain tool at home. Had I known this douche was gonna charge me I would have done it at home. When he offered to do the work, there was no mention of a charge.... Another time I took my bike it to find out why it was skipping gears. I left it with them for a week. I asked them to figure out what the problem was. They called a week later and said it was fixed. Not even 1/4 way down the block the skipping problem was still there.....WTF??I don't think they even looked at it or test rode it. I had to leave it with them for another 3 days for them to fix it. I will never spend my $$ at this facade of a bike shop again. PERIOD.

If you want to "up" your ride experience, doing a Pro Fit (and especially purchasing a new ride you…read morealways wanted) with Cenna should definitely elevate your experience to a new level that might surprise you. It did for me - and I've ridden high-end, 'custom-fitted' bikes for decades. Doing just this with Cenna was robably my best cycle experience - from a long list of good-to-great ones - with even gaining tons of new & valuable cycle learning. Cenna is a true pro with a hard-earned experience over decades that, combined with the right amount of data-driven fit input, results in that true, perfect fit experience. Easily the best bike fit of many before. One you immediately consciously tune into on each ride in a delightful way. It is worth noting that it is better to have an average bike with a perfect fit (than the best bike with a mediocre fit). So don't underestimate the fit side. And Cenna is a true fit pro as well as a truly expert mechanic immensely knowledgeable about the entire range of equipment (road, tri, gravel, mtn) and its optimal installation. But, what is best for you - not what the shop likes for themselves. And, to note, there is some great depth in the shop from Harrison. Sure, many bikes can sure seem an expensive luxury; complete pro fits an indulgence. Don't let others judge your inferior bike - or your high-end one. But, whatever bike you resonate with, the investment in a great fit should bear some truly nice dividends over its life. My experience is that this is a great bike shop of wide scope and depth for most any need from basic to the finesse wrenchings needed for a top cat rider.

After returning them, we saw that Recycled Cycles was just across the street, so we ran over there to see about renting bikes. Their rentals were also not suitable but rather than spending a lot more of our time searching, and seeing that they had LOTS of used bikes for sale, I said to my wife, why don't we look into buying bikes. After only a very short search we found two suitable choices, in great shape and at very fair prices. I liked mine so much that I decided to leave it at our son's house to use on subsequent visits. My wife didn't love hers and decided to see if RC would be willing to buy it back. They did, AND gave her surprisingly great terms. Our son and daughter in law decided then and there that Recycled Cycles would be their bike shop of choice. In fact, later last year our son came back and bought a bike from them. Great service!
