It's hard to see in the pictures but in addition to where the dip already chipped, there are actually cracks all throughout the dip on most nails. The positives, though! Amazing service, skilled technician, taking COVID seriously with sanitizer + masks + plastic guards/shields. Also my pedicure is still going strong. I would honestly give this place a second try (except I don't live nearby), it may have been a bad batch of dip powder or bad top coat, etc.

I have been going here for years. What is extremely disappointing is that when I reached out to the owner to let her know, there was minimal concern and more importantly there was no accountability. I had to seek medical care and take steroids for swelling and for burns. Will NEVER return.

I've been a long time loyal customer for another local nail salon in South Elgin called DK nails,…read moreup until I took my granddaughters there to have their nails polished for a special day, both of my granddaughters ( 3 and 5) wanted to put her feet in the water, so they filled the one foot sink with a little water and they soaked for 2 minutes before they polished both of them , not a pedicure mind you, didn't trim them nothing else just dipped their feet in the water while I was finishing up with my pedicure. When I went to pay they charged me $5 for each girl dipping their feet in the water, I could see if they added soap or they let them soak for more than two minutes. But it was literally for two minutes I thought that was ridiculous. I have referred so many people to go there and thought that was an insult for a loyal customer. I was so mad I decided to looked around for a new location and found Regal Nail salon right in Walmart on Randal in Elgin. First off I found the staff very welcoming and they do a fabulous job and I've been going regularly now. I'm very picky!!! Anna, the NEW Tina and John are very good at what they do and each have way over 20 years of experience. I would highly recommend trying them out, you can get right in and if you need to make appointment you can. With my schedule which is all always unpredictable I am able to walk in and get service right away. Anyone of the three technicians are very good at what they do I would recommend them all. Tell them Nancy sent you !

THE BEST QUALITY and VIBE…read more Have been going to USA for about 2 years. Very few problems, and they addressed those to my benefit. The vibe is relaxed, calming, and a nice break from a chaotic world. I am very low maintenance. I love my natural nails, short and generic. However, the middle finger on my right (dominant) hand breaks regularly. I garden, paint, etc. Usually, I superglue it until I remember to call them. Both Ann and Tim have suggested "acrylic" to me many times. I refuse. Again, I'm pretty "generic" and very "picky". They don't "push" or use high-handed upsell tactics. Yesterday, Tim said: Patty, let's do an acrylic on that one. Just try it out. He didn't even charge me for it!!! So he filed them really short (which is how I like them), and put acrylic on that one nail. It looks exactly like my natural nails. I am shocked (again, a snob about acrylics). Honestly, if you have a problem with USA Nails, you may want to ask yourself: Could I be the issue? 100% recommend this company!

I think he cut and filed them way too short and it took multiple times of us asking them to fix our nails before they got them to look like they look in the picture. The pictures online must be fake because I find it hard to believe that 3 employees do not know how to do a French tip. ( it took 4 tries and 3 people to do the white) They did not trim my cuticles at all or clean/trim my nails either. I felt even worse asking them to correct things because they were very kind.
