I went into his shop today feb. 24th after a bad experience at the Rockford coin nd stamp.. he…read morereally didn't want me saying anything about it but to be honest if you're new to Coin collecting like myself, but adamant and eager to learn do not go to Rockford coin and stamp. He will discourage you,and make you feel unworthy of his time, and quite frank I almost stopped collecting coins and currency ,because he made me feel as if i should've been an expert nd not bothered him with question... that's alright because I plan to invest a lot of money into anything that is gonna make me more money and he lost my business solely on he rude responses and body language towards me.. I am Just eager to learn. happy to say I decided to say screw him,and his business and not let him or that experience discourage me from spending time, learning,and collecting what I want, just because of his very unprofessional and in accurate assumption about my collection. I did have some nicer pieces both bills,and coins that he was interested in and did purchased from me for over face value..Soooo I guess the A** well the guy that made one of himself anyway was incorrect to be quick to assume and maybe hopefully I can save someone anyone the hassle of even dealing with the at ROCKFORD COIN AND STAMP... If you are serious about collecting coins,metals,bullion,bills,proofs,art pieces,or even just want to learn more about it...and not be treated like an idiot!!! go to BELVIDERE COLLECTIBLE COINS!!! ... the people over there WILL HOOK YOU UP, And get you a lot more familiar with what route you are deciding to lean towards or invest more in than other areas.. he will get you right on track, tell you what to look for, wat not to look for, what you should, and/or shouldn't pay. in the matter of just a couple hours, I left there with a whole differant mindset, Learned and payed attention to information he was willing to take time and explain to me.. and YA it gets better, if I'm not mistaken his name is Pat. Calm, easy to talk to, explains things clear, so you can understand what he means. he was busy with a few other clients, managed to help me out and get them all their needs as well and even went out of his way for me, and asked them if they could give any good first pointers or major keys!! they happily did so!! they were happy customers, you could tell they had a good standing business relationship/almost seemed like friendship with him. I've seen ENOUGH will be grabbing a very large percentage of my coins,bullion,seals, and certificates from his shop. his good approach and customer service is why his business is thriving ... because he conducts business, as it should be.. the one gentleman that runs Rockford Coin N Stamp is very unfriendly, he is rude, acts like he don't need your business, etc. to be honest If you are unfamiliar with what you have do not take it to him you might get taken advantage of. "just going off his reviews"(sure they are true facts". To my point tho...now I've been to three stores now the second one ROCKFORD JEWELRY AND COIN.. another great experience, and also learned about, and bought some great perfect 2022 American Eagles. Today Feb. 24 decided to go to Belvidere coin and collectibles to get a few questions answered. ended up being in there for two hours.. this man was so patient with me, gave me a bunch of free game on collecting dos and dont,and also took his time to explain things to me clear as possible.. on top of all of that he offers u a incentive program if you bring in a friend and they start to invest he even rewards you for that, I mean absolutely unheard of, yet great business move.. but outta all this... what sold me,,is....the accessory items I came into his store to purchase he Let me have for free.. to me it's the principal of the he already gave me great advise,tons more knowledge than I had,he made me feel better about collecting again, he gave me a cool bank bag with the company name on it,and above all even though I told him I couldn't accept it the man/I believe Pat "sorry if your reading this and that's not you" still above all this he had already done for me gave me the guide book of United States coins 2022 (red book).. the ultimate gesture.. he has locked me in and has earned himself a new customer that will be spending PLENTYYY of my money with with no fear or hesitation..and if I can find a way to upload the pieces he pulled out for me today I will upload them,just to prove and back this all up 100%.the coin proof set he pulled off the shelf Is 10 times more stunning than what I had originally planned to grab,this "2 coin American Eagle San Francisco silver proof set has me still, two hours later gazing at these coins.(not lying) the man is very good at what he does. I don't know what he gets paid, but I can honestly say it is NOT enough!!! that man deserves a raise, or Two!! Thanks again you mad my day!

I've been coming here to do business for many years. Pat is the only coin/gold/silver shop I'll do…read morebusiness with. He's always been honest and pays top dollar when I'm selling him something. One day, his store was already closed but I really needed money for a car problem that Sunday. He actually met me at the store while I was in a bind on his off day!!! No other business I know goes above and beyond for his clients the way he does. They don't make em' like him anymore. If you have any gold, silver, even broken jewelry and sterling flatware... he takes it all. And he has practically any coin you want. I highly recommend going here for your jewelry/coin needs. He'll definitely take care of you in a respectful and honest manner.
