He knows his specialty quite well, which is most important, and does not rush to prescribe medication when a change in food types might work instead. I appreciate that. He's also got a great bedside manner, and never rushed an appointment with me, which is rare with other doctors. He's been my gastroenterologist for over 10 years now, and I'm staying with him, despite me moving all of my doctors over to the Stony Brook Specialty Care center in Commack. He's definitely worth keeping and seeing again in the future! I highly recommend him to other patients. There's nothing pricey in there, but a TV shows beautiful nature scenes, nice art on the walls, and the furniture is comfortable instead of utilitarian. I think this medically helps with patients moods, especially in the hustle and stress of life today. It's a nice place to relax and wait, even if I've never hard a long wait to see Dr. Zaffer. read more
