Small venues make for an intimate evening of gut wrenching laughter. The Improv cast is very talented; they're funny, quick, creative, flexible, and actually really good actors. I love that they love performing. They also seem to be very supportive of each other, which, somehow, makes you laugh even more. When the cast is laughing at their own tom foolery, how can you not also laugh? And they have several shows a week! I've had a few experiences now with Improv Chattanooga. Love it! I first found out about them during an event with The Chattery showcasing the different type of classes they offered. One session was about improv and Steven was the "teacher." Y'all, improv is hard and not for the faint of heart. I like to think I'm a witty person, but I got stage fright/deer-in-the-headlights look when asked to do some basic stuff. LOL. I've then got to see a couple of showcases and these people are funny! You gotta get to one of their shows and see how it's done. If you're really curious, you can take a class and become one of these funny people. This is an underrated group of people in this town and more people need to know about this group. read more

This was a very cool show. This small venue theater is just the kind of thing that makes Chattanooga such a great place to live. The improv comedy company that resides there puts on a great show. There was a good appreciative crowd which add to the fun. They also have an improv school in residence. Beer and wine we're available. read more

Improv Chattanooga is definitely a must see here in Chattanooga. I go to as many shows as I can. The improv group is incredibly talented and puts on an amazing variety of shows. My personal favorite is their "Improv vs. Stand-up" show they put one, which showcases both local stand up comedians, and the improv group doing skits based off of the comedians sets. They also offer a series of classes to learn the basics improv, one of which I have personally took, and absolutely loved. I will definitely be back to take the other classes when they are available. I can't stress this enough, if you have a sliver of a soul in your body, take it to see the best comedy show in Chattanooga. You won't regret it. read more

I always enjoy seeing shows at Improv Chattanooga. It seems like the actors have a good time, and I think it's great that we have something like this in our city. Coincidentally, one of my favorite themed shows that they do is the yelp review show. The stand-up vs. improv show I attended made me laugh more than I have ever laughed in Chattanooga, but be warned that the material in that show in particular may not be appropriate for all young audience members. read more

This place has a sort of coziness to it compared to a lot of the larger venues that I have attended. So, that kind of makes it even more fun. I have not made it to one of their signature events such as the show where they do more audience participation but I am looking forward to doing so. You will have fun and you will laugh. Very inexpensive too! It's BYOB and they have concession stand types of snacks as well. I don't think you will ever see the same show twice so it will always be a new experience. read more

Such a dynamite team! My husband and I came for the Old Fashion Improv Show and they rocked it! I love that they involve the audience and allowed us to write down scenes that they would use in their show. If you buy your tickets for the show online you get a free popcorn per ticket. I highly recommend this place. read more
