This is a no frills but quick and efficient operation. I have been to places that look nicer- it has more of a bare bones clinical feel than one of those spa like environments but I imagine as business grows that stuff will come. As a newer business, the priority seems to be on providing what is needed for delivering a proper technical service as priority, which I can't fault. My wax service itself was excellent. Walking in was the smell of disinfectant and looking around it seemed really clean and sanitized practices. I love that she used hard wax. I find that a rarity and but my wax was so clean. I didn't really notice the pain or discomfort since it was so minimal compared to other waxing I've done. Even as it grew back in I had no ingrown hairs and I swear it grew back slower. Waxing is incredibly tricky with black skin as the hair is coarser and ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation are a concern. So if you can wax black hair well you can wax any hair well. I have had waxing done for over a decade at various establishments but here I really saw the difference highly skilled and knowledgeable specialist makes here.

Every time I go in for Brazilian wax appointment, I'm always charged $10 more from what I first…read morepaid when Lynn opened. The first time I went to Lynn, she had told me that a Brazilian wax was $35. I got my Brazilian and upper lip waxed, I payed $40. She included a 15% discount since it was my first time. I made an appointment with her for my next wax. When I went in that time she accused me of not paying for my upper lip, confused I asked her why I paid $40 then if a Brazilian is $35 and I got a discount on top of that. She then told me a Brazilian is $40... I only got a Brazilian that time and paid $45. I respect Lynn and for what she does, but I too deserve the same respect. Great for first timers! Don't make this your wax lady though!!!!! I went from paying $35 for a Brazilian to $65!!!!!!!!!!!! That's almost double!

Would recommend if you're looking for a private place to get waxed, which she does in the basement of her home!

Wonderful lady...wonderful experience!…read more Went in today for a trim of the length and re-layer my hair, summer and heat styling are really causing havoc to my dry ends. Vashti was able to squeeze me in same day, and did exactly what I asked for. She took a quarter of an inch off the ends and layered the front with a thick face frame (love this, I absolutely despise thinning shears). she was very detailed and made sure i was happy before i got out of the chair and once I was, we settled up. I didn't get a blow dry as I worked from home so didn't need a style done, but i trust she does a great job! The shop is a small one in the Markham and Steeles plaza with ample parking. Very accommodating, skilled hairdresser, and she offers other services like colouring, waxing, threading. Honestly such a great experience, this will be my new go to for my trims! Tip: she takes debit or cash and you can tip on debit!

I was looking to have this product applied to my nails and I am SO SO glad I went. Not only is the product great, the salon is no muss, no fuss. There aren't any drills used here, there's a wide variety of colors of gel to choose from. Make an appointment and keep in mind if you are coming in with nails that were done somewhere else, it may take longer to get your nails done (I'm not 100% but I don't think this salon applies acrylic nails). I was looking for a nail spot in my neighborhood and I'm so glad I found one!

I've had a mixed experience at Expert Nails. Overall, the nails themselves are consistently well…read moredone, and the technicians do a good job with shaping and finish. When it comes to the actual nail work, I've generally been happy with the results. That said, the service can be inconsistent. Sometimes the experience is great, with attentive and friendly staff, but other times it feels more average or a bit rushed. Customer service could definitely be improved to make the experience more reliable from visit to visit. The salon itself is a plus there's plenty of space, and the decor is clean and aesthetically pleasing, which makes for a comfortable environment while you're getting your nails done. In short, I'd say it's a solid place for nails, especially if your priority is quality work, but the customer service experience could use some improvement for consistency.

Instead of a normal routine soak off, the lady ripped each nail off. And refused to soak off and said I'm strong. I have very thin nails and one of my nails started to bleed. It was a very painful and I do not recommend anyone to go to this nail salon. I will look somewhere else to get my services done.

I had never gotten a Brazilian wax before, nor sugaring of any kind. I was convinced to try it…read moreafter reading and hearing the pros of sugaring. I stumbled upon Sugar Me Spa on Google and read some mixed reviews, but decided to give this place a try anyways. I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.
