let me start this by saying I have been coming to expert nails for over 10 years and today was the final straw. For the better part of the last year every single time I came I had to wait 40 mins to an hour just to get a seat. I was told to make an appointment that way I would be seated and getting my nails done would not be a 3+ hour ordeal. I began making appointments and despite having an appointment I arrived and I'd have to wait an hour + For said appointment. As a working individual this is unacceptable if I have an appointment it should be reasonable to expect to be seated within 15 minutes of that appointment. Today I called Tom and made an appointment for 5pm he asked my name and confirmed with the nail tech I would be coming. I arrived at 5 and there was someone in the chair so i had my eyebrows done. Upon finishing my eyebrows there's now another girl in the nail techs chair. She told the girl she had an appointment with me yet there i stood. 15 minutes I stood there without even a word from Tom or the nail tech telling me what was I happening. I promptly told tom I'd like to pay for my brows and leave because I don't have 2+ hours (hence me making an appointment) He went on to claim appointments are not a thing and that I should come at a time convenient for me..... he simply didn't care and hasn't for a while. I told him this was literally the 2nd month in a row this has happened and he didn't care. He asked me what I expected him to do about it now. Every time I went whether I had an appointment or not I was in the salon for 2-3 hours. I don't know why the business has gone downhill but I definitely won't be returning when there's no respect for my time. It is NOT NORMAL for a fill to take 2.5-3 hours at the nail salon. My friend got airbrushed nails with gel and extensions for 55$. Maria was very nice and professional, as there were no mistakes on my friend's nails. Two other friends also waxed their eyebrows and face, and we're extremely happy with it. Definitely going back again. Second visit: my sister got her nails done and they were ON POINT. Pastel purple shellac with extensions that was instagram-worthy. Lily was very fun to talk to and gave us a discount for being fun :) 50$ with the discount. They gave a free cuticle treatment afterwards and were LAVISHING the cuticle oil, which is super expensive. Lily did a beautiful job shaping, smoothening, and applying the fake nail extensions. They look as if they were my sisters real, perfect nails. They're strong, they're smooth, they're perfect from every angle. Then Tom applied generous coats of colour to create an opaque yet thin and smooth finish. Nightmare!!! This is the worst nail salon I've ever gone to. I been using bio-gel for over 6months now and never once have they peeled off. I came here on a Saturday and waited 1hr to get my nails done. Meanwhile they initially tell you- 10minutes. Bullshit!!! Lily who did my nails criticized how poorly my previous nails were done and she kept saying how they do a better job yet 2days later one peeled off and another nail broke. I went back to get it fixed and 1 more peeled while another nail broke. I've never seen bio-gel peel. I'll never return here again and I hope that people see this review because this place does not deserve people's money. The prices are reasonable compared to other places I've been. The wait times are long, but let's be real I've had an appointment at other places and still have had to wait 30mins. I went here last year and when I walked in the lady at the front was really rude. I just had to fix one nail that broke. The lady looked at me, said too busy and basically told me to leave. I guess since it was a quick fix she wasn't interested. She doesn't understand however that good service goes along way, and had it been good she could of had me for all my future fills and business. I don't even want to give this place 1 star. DO NOT be fooled by the selection of nail polish, the staff wearing matching vests, or the amount of pedicure stations they have, these people are AWFUL. They have no customer respect, and will lie and yell at you in front of an entire store full of people because they don't want to acknowledge being wrong. I had a pedicure done, the lady who did was nice, but she had put too many coats of nail polish on, and then added more top coats when one my nails got smudged. I was careful not to touch it for the rest of the evening and night. The next day when I wore my shoe, the nails got smudged. There were so many coats, it took more than a day to dry. As a result, I went back in to have them fix it. They would not allow any other lady to fix it other than the lady who first did my pedicure, so I had to wait over an hour and half to see her (probably more if I hadn't left). I went to the store manager (a lady) and asked if I could have someone else fix it, they kept repeating no, and I had to watch customers walk in one of the other and get full pedicures while I sat there to get two toes re-polished. As I asked for the 3rd time if someone else could assist me, or if I could fix it myself, the manager yelled that it was my own fault, that she's never heard the nail polish taking so long to dry and implying that I'm lying. When I approached the man (who the ladies had told me the previous time I was there was the owner of the store and boss), he lied and said that he was not the boss and that he just worked there. I knew he was lying. At that point I had had enough, and just left. ***Altogether, I was accused of lying, yelled at in front of other customers, made to wait for over an hour and half, lied to by the owner who did not want to confront me and handle the situation, and lastly, incredibly humiliated. I've been told numerous times that I'm next but I see them take other ppl though they ask you to take a "number" when new clients walk in and ask how long the wait is they say it's 5 mins however knowing that there are already 5 ppl waiting. The live up to their name expert because they do refills really quick and nice but they're expensive I go to Michelle Lee on Brimley and pay $15 refill, $10 colour change and 2 gems @ $5 each all for $35 flat .. I go there for short refill and colour change and my total end up being $35 plus their new tax understood paying card but cash end up $37 .. & It didn't even get jewels! .. If I could give them a lower star I would. I love to give credit when credit is due but I simply cannot with this place. I use to come to this place from when I was younger since they were the closest to me. I got my nails done today and I was reminded as to why I had stopped going. I had a bad start, they told me I was next to be served but had three other people go before me, had me waiting for 45 minutes. Although, I had a lot of other things to do I remand quite and patiently waited. Things were off on a good start. To sum up to the end, the person who was doing my nails when I had asked her to do things ( like add another quote or add sparkles). She was so rude! I was quoted 75 dollars for my nails and feet, once I got to the register, I didn't realize they had charged me 83 dollars and when I asked why they said take it up with the person who did your nails. She then said it's because she was charging me extra for taking nail polish off!??? This lady was so sweet before and a nasty woman after. I was planning to give her a generous tip but decided that "immediate mark up" was her tip. She was horrible, they have NO ETHICS! Don't know how to speak to or value customers, it's like speaking to a wall. Just horrible service and people! The only reason why I went was because my usual nail salon was booked and needed something quick. I rather travel 1 hour by bus and go to my usual nail salon, who are just amazing! Have been going there for years. NO LONGER!!! Went in at 10:05 on a Sunday am, advised Tina that I wanted my toes done. After 45 mins, she advised me that it would be another 30 mins. Ok, no problem. Problem with it after another 45!!! Why not tell me when I arrived that there was still another person ahead of me. I would have gone with anyone else!!! Some communication would be nice. The other person I could wait for was already about an hour late! Everyone else was now quite busy. I left at 12:01 knowing I will NEVER GO BACK. Walked in with my two friends , wanted to get acrylic done with shellac , was deciding on colours so asked to bring the samples to the table and she said no repeatedly . THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEIR TOOLS!!!! Got an infection on my toe after getting my nails done here but Was accused by staff of lying. While clipping my toenails I was cut by the worker and subsequently unable to walk properly for about a week and a half. I wasn't sure what the issue was until I put a flashlight to my toe and saw that my skin was cracked and light green. Immediately I called them to let them know in which I was told to come in so they could examine themselves. When I came in, they acted like they had never seen me before but my mom is a very loyal customer and I was just there with her not long ago getting her nails done for her birthday. They accused me of never getting my nails done, and then when my mom came in they accused me of lying about the infection even when I took off my shoes and showed proof. They told me that it looked like it was healing so I shouldn't have an issue. They also gossiped about me with other customers calling me dirty and threatened to call the police.
