We cancelled our subscription after week one - but have 3 more boxes to pick up since you must pre-order a month at a time. I'm rating it a 2 instead of a 1 because I very much like the CSA model, in theory. We have subscribed to other CSAs in the past and found the quality to be higher. We tried this one because the pick up location was within walking distance of our home. I am reading the five star reviews and wondering how our first impression can be so completely different.

Review #320 - 2018 I…read morehad this place bookmarked after seeing all their ads on Facebook announcing their "You Pick Pomegranates" for just one weekend a year. My sister's family really likes pomegranate so I decided to invite her to come along. We originally planned to visit this place on Saturday, but she had something else come up for her kid's school so we ended up coming on Sunday, October 21st. I showed up around 9:30 AM, and there were a whole lot of cars already parked in their lot. My sister texted me & said she was about 45 minutes away so I decided to sit in the car & wait, since my daughter was still sleeping in the backseat. When she finally showed up around 10:30 AM, it was getting pretty hot so my daughter was not a happy camper. Not enough sleep and heat does not make a baby happy. However, we managed to collect two 5-gallon buckets in about an hour. Actually, her little family did all the work while I played photographer. Hahaha The kids had a lot of fun picking their own fruits. My sister was kind of disappointed that we showed up so late since most of the bigger fruits have already been picked. We were still able to find some decent sized ones. I got a $20 box and she got a $25 box. I ended up keeping only 4 for myself and took the rest to my brother's house to let my other siblings pick what they want from it. My sister says next year we have to come back earlier on a Saturday so we can get first pick. Sounds like a plan!

Wow!, if you love sunflowers and photo shoots, this is a quick and convenient way to visit. I was surprised, there were no reviews on this place yet. If you're traveling from the South, exit Sparling Lane and turn left at Kidwell. If traveling from the North, exit Kidwell Lane. Have to say, I was sad the flowers had passed their optimum beauty. However, you might still be able to spot a few sunflowers looking bright and perky. The field is surround by a trench with water but it's easy to jump over. Lots of ppl around taking photos. Bear in mind, there are a lot of bees doing their wonderful pollination here, so beware if you are allergic to bee stings. I'm guessing June would be the best time to enjoy these whimsical sunflowers. At the end of Kidwell and Olmo Lane, there is also small patch of wild flowers in pinks and purples. Also a great place to stop and visit, for those flower lovers. I read online that Cloverleaf farm is a small part of Collin farms. Will definitely return next year, to capture these whimsical flowers at their best. Enjoy!!!

I was on my way to Sacramento and got a serious craving for a snack, so since I'd heard about the tamales in the Dixon area, I just had to pull over and grab a few. I tried the chile cheese one right there in the car, and it was pretty good! The cheese was definitely interesting, though--it didn't really melt, but it had a nice, solid bite to it. I'm guessing they use that kind so it doesn't get all messy, especially since they keep them nice and hot all day and have them all wrapped and labeled individually. They've got a bunch of handmade candies, and all the fruit and produce looks so fresh! You should definitely make a stop and check out the pickle section. Also, as for those Upper Crust mini baby pies--grab every flavor! I only picked up two and I'm honestly so sad about it! Enjoy and drive safe my friends!
