They didn't have a large selection to choose from but everything looked yummy. There is a bar there and had specialty drinks available. They have a little marketplace where they sell dried flower arrangements as well as gift sets of their vinegar, oils,soaps, jams, nuts and honey. My sister's family really likes pomegranate so I decided to invite her to come along. We originally planned to visit this place on Saturday, but she had something else come up for her kid's school so we ended up coming on Sunday, October 21st. I showed up around 9:30 AM, and there were a whole lot of cars already parked in their lot. My sister texted me & said she was about 45 minutes away so I decided to sit in the car & wait, since my daughter was still sleeping in the backseat. When she finally showed up around 10:30 AM, it was getting pretty hot so my daughter was not a happy camper. Not enough sleep and heat does not make a baby happy. However, we managed to collect two 5-gallon buckets in about an hour. Actually, her little family did all the work while I played photographer. Hahaha The kids had a lot of fun picking their own fruits. My sister was kind of disappointed that we showed up so late since most of the bigger fruits have already been picked. We were still able to find some decent sized ones. I got a $20 box and she got a $25 box. I ended up keeping only 4 for myself and took the rest to my brother's house to let my other siblings pick what they want from it. My sister says next year we have to come back earlier on a Saturday so we can get first pick. Sounds like a plan!

There was lavender ice cream ($4) and free lavender lemonade and lavender mint tea. Capay Valley Vineyards was there for wine tasting and you could purchase a bottle ($$??) and drink it on site. Parking was not bad, even though we had to park on S.R.16 and walk in about a block and a half. I was a great, sunny, warm day for a little fun in the Capay Valley.

The lemonade had a great balance of flavor and is so refreshing on a hot day. Turns out we visited when most of the lavender was harvested. I will try to make it back again next time in May or June so I can catch a glimpse of the lavender farm when it's full! It was cool to learn that there were many varieties including white lavender. There was still a section with plenty of purple lavender where we got to take some pictures and my friend trimmed her own little bouquet of lavender for her mom. We also believe visitors should not be charged while the fields are in this condition, as they do not provide the experience that is being advertised. The lack of basic care and compassion is unacceptable. Based on what I personally witnessed, these animals deserve far better than what they're receiving here.

The owners were very friendly and were happy to share the history and plan for the farm. The berries were very delicious and the price is very reasonable. The experience took me back to childhood when we would go picking berries in the forest. The farm also sells jams and even have a sugar-free varieties. One Thursday last month, we got to do just that. My sister, Sesame (my friend's dog that we were doggie-sitting), and I took a little day trip to Woodland. It was super hot that day with the temperature at 98degrees! Ugh... I got out my wagon to put Sesame in there so that she doesn't have to walk on the hot ground. We each picked a bouquet of flowers, and they were pretty. They did start wilting immediately the next day. But nonetheless, I'm glad we got to experience this place. It would be better to go either earlier in the morning or later when it less hot though. Parking was easy as they have their own little parking area. Watch for their signs to enter in the right area as the neighbor has sighs too that shows that people have tried to go their space accidentally.
