Staff gave us a comprehensive tour of farm operations and livestock care. It was so nice to see the animals well cared for. They're so knowledgeable and passionate about their work - it was really inspiring. Afterwards, we had a special set menu dinner with ingredients all from their farm. We were amazed by how flavorful everything was from their salad to the lamb chops and black eyed pea side. Highly recommend for a really unique and memorable experience for a group. Some of us also camped on-site that night! Would love to go back again.

This was the day we got them! We've waited almost a week for a response after emailing to ask if this was a one off. They were very responsive when I was ordering things. :( They say they pick produce at its ripest but I don't think this means as it is about to turn. The delivery set up is different each week. Sometimes a swap box, sometimes not, sometimes it's awkward to get your stuff, sometimes it's so easy! I won't continue when my subscription is up.

When I went inside the flower barn they helped arrange my bouquet and added some touches to it and made it beautiful. I had the Capay Cuban sandwich which was delicious. They had homemade dill pickles on it. I had their hand cut French fries that had miso aioli and jalapeño ranch that had just a little kick. They didn't have a large selection to choose from but everything looked yummy. There is a bar there and had specialty drinks available. They have a little marketplace where they sell dried flower arrangements as well as gift sets of their vinegar, oils,soaps, jams, nuts and honey. They also sell mugs and clothing with their name on it.

Definitely recommend this experience to others looking for a unique afternoon activity. But would recommend bringing a hat if going in the spring and summer for the heat.

The seasonal fruits and vegetables offered are fantastic and the prices are incredibly reasonable. There's also something extra gratifying about getting some friends together to go pick strawberries straight out of the field together. When you arrive you're likely to be greeted by the farmer (or his wife and daughter) and instructed on where to to go for what's in season on the farm. Buckets and shears are provided. Make sure you wear close-toed shoes, sunscreen, and clothing you don't mind getting a little dirty. Bring water too - it gets pretty hot picking tomatoes in the sun! There's an outdoor hand washing station, and a kids area as well. For the quality of produce and prices alone it's well worth the drive. The fun of it is just an added bonus.

There are wagons, buckets, and step stools throughout the property to help you reach the higher branches. I do recommend coming earlier in the morning; after an hour you do feel pretty zapped by the heat. Good thing they have cold sweet treats! They make their own ice cream and waffle cones, and it's to die for! I took home a pint of blueberry cheesecake and strawberry brownie ice cream. Very excited to be returning in the fall for peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, stone fruit and more!

Communication was prompt and Beckie was super hospitable at every moment. She was kind and calm, and we all felt welcomed and comfortable. Thanks to her, we learned about alpacas and took some adorable photos. We even got to take home some souvenirs from her cute shop (get the alpaca socks-my husband LOVES his!). As a cherry on top to this fabulous experience, my toddlers got to pick a delicious Fuji apple from Beckie's farm. Wowow, what a fun and unique adventure! I'll be recommending this place to other mom friends and animal lovers :)

They showed us the distilling and drying process and how to cut lavender. I've never smelled such wonderful lavender. Lots of tables in the shade to picnic, cute country store with tons of goodies. A couple of fields of the lavender are in full bloom now in late June 2025. You can smell the French lavender and hear the bees buzzing, almost humming. There's also a small store selling lavender products and picnic tables outside to enjoy your self brought picnic (or maybe a snack?) The staff is friendly and we got to meet the owner, Sheri. Check the website but they have a short guided tour and you also can see where they process some of the lavender to make products.

She delivered six goats on a Sunday and after seeing how bad the area was , Sarah said she would contact me on Tuesday to check how the goats were doing to see if we wanted to keep the goats for additional days. We ended up keeping them for seven days and they did an amazing job. Many of our employees and visitors enjoyed seeing the goats hard at work . I would definitely recommend Werts Family Farms to anyone looking for a ecomonical and sustainable way to get rid of weeds .
