This gas station colludes with the Chevron across the street to extort patrons of an unjustifiable amount of money for gas, simply because of their prime location. Today for example, 1/29/2015, gas prices for stations within 1 mile of Chevron are as follows: $2.59, $2.37, $2.39. However, this 76 is at $3.27, while the Chevron across the street is at $3.39. Most days I drive by, the two gougers are the exact same price, indicating some sort of collaboration to keep prices high in that location. This is the only explanation considering the average price per gallon of every surrounding station is about $1 cheaper per gallon.
These guys jack up the prices because they are the only option for persons exiting the 91 on 14th street, or are about to enter the E/B, W/B 91 from 14th street.
Edit: They apparently changed ownership a while back and their prices are, go figure, competitive! The Chevron across the street still sucks, which explains why there is never anyone buying gas there. read more
