Emilie at Emzone Massage is a miracle worker!!! If you get massages regularly, you know when your…read moretherapist has the 'massage spidey-sense' and can let their hands guide them to the spots you need help with. Em has this quality in SPADES! I am a former massage practitioner, and while I'll take a massage from anyone, I seek out a professional who can feel their way through through my musculature and tendons, who is attuned to my breathing and any subtle changes I may make so they adjust their pressure and check in with me about my comfort. I have found Em, and I'm not letting her go!! Her availability gets more limited each time I see her, and as much as I would LOVE to keep her a secret so I can get an appointment whenever I want, this woman performs incredible bodywork and deserves as much business as she wants to handle. She is set up to take credit/debit, her new location appears to be a co-op of wellness workers with each provider meeting their clients in the joint reception area. Conveniently located in West Olympia, about 2 minutes from the 101 Automall exit. She will customize music to your preference, if you have one, and I promise you will walk out of there feeling like a new person. Be sure to drink lots of water after, with any massage, but especially if you go for deep tissue; Emilie has some great strength and is not afraid to use it to tenderize even the tightest of knots.

AMAZING! My mom and I swung by to check out this new local biz. If you've never tried one (this…read morestyle of massage), I'll just say, it's kind of one of those "lifesaver" options when your body is in a tangle and you just need a fix - and waiting until your therapist is available (if you even have one), etc. just doesn't feel like an option. Both of these gentlemen did such a fantastic job. Here's a little breakdown... - Open from 10am to 10pm (walk ins are the norm) - Did the 1 hour - $30 foot massage - Tip $10 (THEY EARN IT!!!) - Walked in and they were able to see us immediately - Peaceful, mild scent of green tea and lavender - It's an open air style room with multiple beds - I suggest wearing minimal style clothing such as "bike" shorts, yoga pants, spaghetti strap tanks, no bra, etc. - Be sure to tell them your preferred pressure (light, hard, etc.)... they bring new meaning to deep tissue, if that's your thing! - Started with a nice foot soak while laying on our backs (knees bent down into soaking bucket) - Amazing face and head/scalp massage - Placed a cloth over eyes for relaxation - Did neck, arms, and collar bone area (lots of pressure and stretching motions to really loosen things up - Worked on hip flexers, thighs, and calfs - Did an intense and very intentional foot and ankle massage *Note, heard him wash his hands after doing my feet, which was appreciated - even though they'd been soaking for at least 15 mins... I'm kinda a clean freak. They also used really warm towels to remove any moisturizer before pulling down my yoga pant legs. - Asked me to flip onto my stomach and proceeded to do my neck and move down my back - Worked on my really jacked up hips and lower back - Really loosened up my legs and calfs Was greeted at the front desk with a bottle of water - and a cup of water to ensure we flushed out the toxins (important after a massage) and a nice mint. Gave us stamp cards to get a free massage after ten, I believe. They offer other massage services, but the 1 hour, $30 massage is my absolute favorite. You can pay a more standard rate to get a more traditional, private massage in a separate room. This place is a respectable, legitimate place so don't go there expecting any funny business. Best $30/$40 I've spent in a long time! I may seriously go back tomorrow!!!

I was looking for something affordable and close by, and settled on Epic Massage. Like most local chains, it can a be a hit or miss. This place had an online scheduler so I was able to find a day and time that worked well for me. Once I arrived, the person (owner?) seemed confused but got me set up in a room where I waited about 10 minutes before someone came in. At the end, I showed her the email confirmation which I think helped confirm they have online scheduling, but they prefer walk-in or a phone call. Great massage, she definitely could tell right off the bat where my trouble spots were or what sort of occupation I had! A little more chatty than I hoped but the massage was a good start in the right direction in feeling better. Not sure if I will return given the lady was a bit handsey but it seems like a place that has a lot of regulars there! Maybe the others who work there are great too!

I mentioned at least three times my left arm hurt. The 90 minutes went by fast...I looked at the clocked and realized she hadn't really done my arms yet, as she had been focusing on my hips legs, etc, but I mentioned a couple times about my arm, soni thought there might be some more focus there, but I was wrong. I mentioned during my massage I was looking for a weekly gig. When we checked out, I was not offered the next slot available, and instead was told to check out other providers, as they might be a better fit.. I felt rejected, like she didn't want to work on me, possibly due to my weight. I don't know, but I felt like I wasn't entirely welcome back, as no additional appointments were offered or encouraged nor booked.

The setting was exquisite, the massage expertise unbeatable, and the price incredibly competitive and worth every dime. I was initially skeptical of the strip mall location but was in dire need of a massage! I found the entry way welcoming and beautifully fragrant. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and did their best to accommodate my walk-in massage request. Unfortunately, they were unable to and I had to return about an hour later. I was experiencing severe neck and shoulder pain, so I was happy to return for a same day appointment. When I returned I was directed to the waiting room in the back area and offered tea or water. Zen music played at the perfect volume. This area was in the same hallway as the massage rooms and it felt like I was in a real deal massage place, not a strip mall location. The massage was one of the best I've had! Veronica asked beforehand what I was mostly concerned with and what type of pressure I prefer. She also checked in during the massage to ensure the table and pressure were both okay. Everyone was professional and helpful. I would love to frequent this place but do not live in the area. I would highly recommend Veronica! I would have given 5 stars but did hear other patrons talking which was a little distracting.

Anyway, they have a couple of really good masseuses that I would wait to get because they applied the right amount of pressure and they would remember what areas of my body needed the most work. The owners wife works there and I'm sorry, but she's not that great. If you want a super soft rub down, she's your girl, but if you want or need pressure, don't let him stick you with her because he does some of the scheduling too when they are busy. As far as the place, it's tranquil and very nice. The masseuses wait for you in the hallway and greet you with a cup of cold water and ask you how are you feeling which is nice because I've been to places where they have a water machine and you're on your own. If I had anything thing bad to say, it would be that you don't get your full hour of massage time. The start from the time you walk in the room and they are asking you questions about what areas would you like them to concentrate on and then you change clothes but your hour has already start so that's about 15 minutes gone. I always wear clothes that I can get off quickly and the masseuses I try to get already know what's going on with me so our conversation is very brief. An hour should be an hour from the time they touch your body not from when you walk in the room.
