My family and I attended a quinceañera (a celebration similar to a sweet 16). The venue was beautiful and roomy. The food the venue provided was appealing and delicious. The employees went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable, the sound system was great, the screen from which the slide show was shown, was large and clearly visible to all guests regardless of where you were seated. The dance floor was large and very clean and The bathrooms were large and clean. The valet parking was easy to enter and exit. The valet workers could be seen working no stop all night. WARNING: This place is a scam, just avoid if you don't want to be mistreated and lied to. Or have everything they say or promise in writing if you work with them. They're just sketchy, will say yes to whatever you want just to get your money and run after. Lot of bait and switch tactics. Just unprofessional overall. We attended a wedding at this venue recently. Venue itself is small, there's almost no parking and no place to sit inside or out. The reception area is very small, limited seating and gets very hot. It's as if they didn't bother running the AC all night there. First of all if they try to upcharge you for "top shelf" alcohol package. Their opinion on top shelf is Kirkland branded alcohol, Johnie Walker black, bottom shelf crown royal and jack daniels among other $20 bottles. Make sure they specify what is "top shelf." The bartenders will act like you don't know alcohol actually saying "how do you know Kirkland isn't top shelf?" They won't even bother to learn the bride/groom's signature drink in preparation, I heard one even go to the other bartender asking "what's that?" When someone ordered from the menu that's right there on the bar. If you need the wedding coordinator, good luck as they're pretty much non-existent in planning and on the day of. I don't think they know what "coordinator" means. Expect family and friends to basically tell people when to walk, prepare table settings, decor, etc. if you bring up issues with anything, they'll just say "well, I don't know, I'm leaving it to the experts" Food was mediocre at best. Everything was overly salted, especially the proteins that most people at the table couldn't even finish it. Such a waste too. In the middle of everything, they'll start cleaning out tables and may "accidentally" remove personal belongings as part of the cleaning. Some people had their belongings go missing, but they "magically" appeared soon after when we asked for camera footage or asked to go through the back. This was especially the case with the groom's sunglasses that were on the bride and groom's table all night. Staff going in and out of the brides changing room was also inappropriate. Bartenders getting their alcohol and bottles in the middle of celebration left little privacy. Wouldn't be surprised if additional things went missing. They just don't communicate. We were told valet parking was going to be covered or a $10 fee. But valet was charging all family and friends $13 plus tip per vehicle, even cars that were parked before valet arrived. Sketchy team trying to take advantage of a celebration. It was only caught after a guest mentioned it, so at least 30 cars were overcharged. Even if the valet was an independent contractor, the venue is responsible for communication and handling. At the end of the day, just avoid working with these people. They'll say whatever you want and agree to everything, with all the promises. At the end of the day, they'll leave you disappointed. read more

I've been to a few weddings in my lifetime, but this Armenian one really stood out. Valet was quick and easy, the food was endless and delicious, and the service couldn't have been better. If I could give this event hall no stars I absolutely would. I'm not a person to complain unless there is an extreme wrongdoing from a business. Amelia and the Imperial Palace did just that for my nieces quinceañera. My post is long but I don't want anyone else to go through this on their special day. The hall was originally booked from 5pm-midnight we had met with Amelia and picked the menu, linen, and amount of tables and she kept pushing for the event to be from 6pm-1am. My sister didn't want to because the invitation said 5pm, Amelia told her they could have a cocktail hour from 5-6 and there were in fact no cocktail tables setup ever. Amelia said from 5-6 the quinceañera could get photos in the hall with the decorations and family. That did not happen because the hall wasn't ready until 6 pm and it was the florists and the quinceañeras family setting up the tables, napkins, appetizers, and vacuuming the carpet. The hall was not ready because they were greedy and double booked the day. The other party was still being cleaned up at 4pm the time Amelia had said the hall would be completely ready by, she had said to have the florist come at 3pm because all of the tables would be set up with linen, silverware and centerpieces by then. I will attach a photo of what the hall looked like at 4pm. The hall management is claiming they did nothing wrong because the hall was ready for guests to be seated by 6pm. Had it not been for the efforts of the party guests and outside vendors the hall would not have been ready. Half the guests received cold food from the hall and had it not been for the In n Out truck they wouldn't have had a hot meal at the event. It is disappointing that such a nice hall with seemingly nice staff has such an irresponsible management team that almost ruined such a special day. My husband and I got married in Pasadena on June 29, 2024 and booked Imperial for our wedding reception since we had a separate church ceremony. The location was convenient since it was close to the church and spacious enough to fit our large guest count (300+). We went with their bar and drinks service as well as their in-house rentals for things like tables, linens, and silverware, all of which had enough customization to suit our wedding theme. We enjoyed working with Amelia who was friendly and enthusiastic. That said, I'm docking 2 stars because of a few things: 1. Communication was difficult at times. Outside of an initial email consultation to set up a venue tour, the staff only responded to calls and sometimes texts. This was especially inconvenient for our other vendors who needed to work with Imperial such as our caterer and day-of coordinator. 2. For some reason, the bartenders were told to close the bar after our 3-hour open bar, even though it was specifically stated in our contract that after the 3 hours, they were to convert to a cash bar. This was caught by our day-of coordinator early on, so this was corrected. 3. We hired an outside caterer to do a plated dinner. Initially, Imperial's staff helped serve the meals, but the catering staff and our day-of coordinator caught some of Imperial's staff members eating the meals intended for our guests. This was obviously a huge, unprofessional no-no, so our caterer took over serving the meals from that point forward. Luckily, all our guests were served, although the last few tables got their food late because of this interference. 4. When Imperial's staff were bussing the tables, they threw away around 20-30 of our wedding favors that were set on the tables for each guest. These favors were teapot-shaped boxes that included coasters that I personally crocheted. We found out this was happening because one of the guests whose favors had been thrown away let my husband know and our day-of coordinator had to intervene to stop more from being trashed. Again, fortunately, we over-prepared and had enough extra favors that everyone was able to go home with one, and some of the trashed favors were able to be salvaged. If it weren't for our other vendors and the contingencies we had in place, one or more of these things could have led to a disaster during the reception. But they didn't, and the night turned out fine. Overall, the space looked and felt great and was perfect for our needs, especially with the recent renovations they've done, Amelia did her best to help us feel comfortable and sort out all the details, but Imperial's staff as a whole should be held to a higher standard of professionalism and care. read more

I don't know HOW my review from a few years ago is somehow gone- but here we go! This hall is beautiful and they treat you so well BEFORE your event. On my wedding day in January 2014-- 1. They stole money that was thrown on the floor for the musicians. This is a cultural thing- we throw money, and the offered to help sweep it up before hand and have it for us at the end of the night. We asked for the money, and the denied even cleaning it up! It was more than 1,000$. And I know this because my father went to the bank for cash, and guests also threw money 2. They broke my cake Lladro topper. I was told they would replace... still waiting hahaha 3. Alcohol "ran out"... nope! They triple poured, and I know bottles went missing. From the first time I saw this place online I knew it was the perfect place for my friends reception for his celebration of life. The ambiance is truly gorgeous, and the LED lighting in the ballroom really helps set the mood for your event. Amelia is the manager who helped us set everything up and she was a true gem the entire time! STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE. Nothing but lies and issues for your event. What a Dissapointment. After many options of choices of Venues, we settled on Imperial Venue because of location and venue appearance. The event was for my Daughters Quinceanera, supposed to be a magical day and started with extreme Havoc and emotional distress. My personal event coordinator showed up to the venue at 3:00 to start setting up for our hall to be ready for the Quince girl and immediately family to do a photo shoot in reception hall with everything set up at 5:00 since we had reserved the venue from 5-12pm. Well let me tell you that she showed up to the extreme surprise as there was a full blown party occurring from the morning booking(a booking we were never told of until the day before our event and promised it would not intervene with our timeline), my coordinator proceeded to speak with Amelia the venue coordinator and discuss concern regarding the shutdown of the morning party so that our event could get setup and situated. She was told that the ongoing party was told already but they weren't stopping and she didn't know what to do, it took my sisters mother in law to arrive to help setup see the issues and physically go and disconnect the Bounce house and unplug the DJ power supplies to push the envelope for them to cease there party. At this point it's 4:30 and tables are being rolled out with chairs to start setup. We see maybe 3 people slowly starting to setup and realize they are short handed and the place isn't going to be ready to serve my guests. As guests begin to arrive they see the mess and my family and friends God Bless them stepped in to help. I'm talking about women in full gowns and men in suits sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming because the place was FILTHY DISGUSTING from the morning party and the venue couldn't handle bringing in more help to situate the place. Alone 6:01 there was still table setting happening and appetizers being set on tables by my family and 1 staff member. The event was supposed to seat people at 6:00. Around 6:15 I made the decision that after 15 of my close family members helped set tables, fold napkins and put cold foods on the tables we had enough presentation to start letting the 272 guests inside the Reception and start our festivities. Now the venue is denying there was any issues on our day, and denying to rectify the situation because we stayed at the facility and continued with our party. They feel because my guests had a good time evrything is ok. Reality is my guests that arrived after 6:15 had no idea what happened ! They are inconsiderate and manipulative, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. The Emotional distress my wife and daughter went through at the start of this day was overwhelming. It is disappointing to spend so much money and there greed ruin the start of your event. . Let me start with my stars. My Husband and I did our research we did the leg work. We have the experience. This is our 4th quinceañera so we know and understand what it is to to appreciate value. Imperial Palace was absolutely great. Amelia was very informative, she was generous in allowing us to pretty much do whatever we wanted. The food was delicious and there was plenty. We paid for valet from the vendor she recommended (Arsen) he was reasonable and we had zero complaints. We brought our own liquor and went with her bartender recommendation. We were concerned at first because we expected over 350 guests and didn't want our guests to be in lines to long, we were assured this would not happen. Lines are unavoidable at a 15ra with 350 Latinos and an open bar , but they rose to the occasion and did not disappoint. The servers were sweethearts and I can tell worked very hard to please. Before going with this venue we got prices for different ones; for the amount of guests we had, the cost would have been at least double. We recently had our wedding here. Since the beginning of planning Amelia and her staff where nothing but honest and clear in what can be provided and how everything will work. I was provided with a breakdown of all cost, food, etc. As the day approached I had more and more questions, which were all promptly answered via text. They typically communicate via text message to one central number. If something is not clear enough, they will call. I did not mind this method as I am more of a text person anyway. The guests could not stop talking about the food! After the wedding I had many people contact me to ask about their food as they wanted more. I had selected Imperial because I attended a wedding here about 5 years ago and remembered not only the beautiful hall, but the FOOD! It's delicious and there is a lot of it. We did let our guests know to pace themselves, because you can get full off the appetizers alone. Another aspect that really hooked me is the lighting. We were able to have the lights changed during the ceremony, performances, dinner, and dancing to fit each individual aspect. We were married on a Friday the 13th so our lighting was a bit dramatic and darker. It was perfect. I see reviews here that say the staff was "rude." I want to say that I can see how it can be interpreted that way. I do not feel they are rude at all, but very blunt, honest, and professional. My wedding was perfect. They contributed to that. Though they are quite clear in their rules and pricing. Remember, this venue is also managed by people of a different culture than typical American culture. My wife and I recently got married on 11.02.24 and had our reception take place at Imperial. It was absolutely perfect! Since the beginning of the booking process, to the food tasting, and our final walk through with linen choice, guest seating, time line, vendors set-up, and drinks, the entire experience was truly stress free. Amelia and Amber were ALWAYS friendly, honest, and professional. They both were always available to answer any questions we had and were always flexible to set up a meeting with them. We also appreciated how relaxed and straightforward they were with us because it made things so much more simple. It's easy to over think things when planning a wedding and working with them made it a pleasant experience. We had a guest total of 200 that showed up and every single person loved everything about the venue. We aren't exaggerating, they all loved it! There was plenty of food for everyone and it was so delicious! A lot of guest said they wish they could take some home. During the cocktail hour, they provided sweet and fresh fruit to our guest and also served hors d'oeuvres that were delicious as well. We bought our own alcohol for our specialty drinks and the bartender that they provided did a great job making drinks for everyone. We asked Amelia about the bartender and she happily gave us his contact. We were able to talk to the bartender, Joe, about the kind of drinks we wanted and how much alcohol/beer to buy. Joe is super cool and really helpful! Thank you Joe! The staff did an outstanding job the from beginning to the very end of the reception. The valet staff were all friendly and helpful. They made it easy for vendors to pull in and unload their equipment. Guest had no issues getting their vehicles back and left with no issues. Two security guards were at the front by the entrance, (venue provided) and kept professional all night. The guest tables and sweetheart tables were all clean and presentable with food already at the table and a lot of guest really appreciated how the servers were so attentive to everyone. This place is a SCAM!!! Do not book here. My friend had a wedding here recently and had a horrible experience. They just promise you that they will do this and that but on the day of nothing happens. Wedding coordinator does not coordinate anything! During rehearsal they did not come out to help us pace the walking or teach us what to do. Then on the wedding day they did not do what the bride had asked. As she was walking down the aisle people were frantically opening the curtain to the stage area where she would be sitting for her religious ceremony. She had asked the staff to have the curtains opened before the guest were seated and nothing happened. Also, when they tell you to upgrade to top shelf for alcohol, do not do it! Their top shelf is Kirkland branded alcohol. When we told the coordinator she replied "I'm going to let the professionals handle it." When we complained to the bartenders their response was "how do you know that Kirkland is not top shelf?"Coordinator was no help in helping smooth things out. I did not see her once go to the bride and groom to offer assistance. Another thing, while the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready in the bridal suite, the bartender went to go grab alcohol. I don't understand why they couldn't get it before hand, but waited until we got there to go get it, while she was trying to get her pictures taken. A lot of her "getting ready" pictures has the drink cart in them which ruined the shot and are unusable. Finally, do not leave your valuables on the table, the waiters just take it. The bridesmaid left her designer sunglasses on the table and they went missing. She looked intently for them everywhere. She finally went to the kitchen and told them that she needed to look through the napkins to find them, all of a sudden the waiter comes back and was like "oh I found them on the table." The same thing happened to the GROOM! He left his LV sunglasses on the table and at the end of the wedding he went back to go get them and they were missing! The groom was so upset and told them that he wanted to look at the surveillance camera, then all of a sudden a waiter comes in from the back and goes "we found them in the back." Upon seeing our food being thrown out we had to ask for take out boxes and had to have our family pack as much food as possible for majority of the bridal party that didn't eat. My brother had a wedding here a day ago and we had the worst experience with this business. Valet was only supposed to be $10 but guests were telling us they charged $13 to several people so the men working valet were making profit for their own selves. On top of that, 3 pairs of glasses were missing during the wedding and were found wrapped in towels by the waiters. Towards the end of the night my brother, the groom, was missing his louis vuitton glasses and told the workers he would not leave till it shows up. Back in 2019, I started to plan my wedding and looked around for local venues for my ceremony. We toured the hall with Amalia and Armen and soon decided to go with them for our ceremony. The venue itself looks amazing and well maintained. They offer lots of features that would have made any event a nice one. Anyways, our wedding was planned for May 23, 2020. Pandemic rolls around and come around March-April 2020, I give them a call and they fail to answer or call back for a few times. I wanted to see if I could postpone the date since I could no longer hold a wedding with 300 guests due to the pandemic. When I talked to Armen, he said he could not postpone the date yet since he was waiting on the governor to dish out the new regulations. Just remember, the pandemic was at a pretty bad high at this time. I agreed to hold off until we had more news. Amalia called me a few times but it was an unknown number so I didn't answer. I finally answered and she said "you need to save my number!" and she basically yelled at me over the phone. I was not happy with how these people treated me at all. Later down the line, I had a better idea of when I would be postponing my wedding to, I called them back and Armen indicated he could not set my new date as the calendar for 2021 was "not open yet". Who knows what that means??? During another conversation, I told them I wanted my deposit back since they weren't working with me. Armen then at this time indicated that someone else took the date I wanted but a week or so before, he said the calendar wasn't open yet... strange. All in all, I lost my deposit and had a bad experience working with them. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My uncle and his fiancé were set to get married here August 14th, 2020. Not only would this not have been able to happen due to the pandemic, but my uncle recently DIED. Of course there will be no more wedding after this tragic event, however for weeks these CROOKS have been giving them the run around regarding a refund. My uncle and his fiancé have given them a total of $8,500!! They don't need to reschedule the date of the wedding, it needs to be CANCELED because my uncles is NO LONGER ALIVE. My uncles fiancé and my aunt went to speak to Armen and the manager on duty in person, only to be smirked and laughed at in a patronizing manner about their situation. Not only did they seem to not care at all that my uncle passed away, but they only offered a less than 20 % refund! It is insane to me how inconsiderate and indecent these people are being. Not only will there no long be a wedding, but that money they are withholding from them could be used for my uncles funeral and help support his 6 month old baby. Absolutely disgusted at how horrible these people are being given the circumstances. My uncle lost his life and they can't so much as give a refund for a wedding ceremony that will obviously no longer be happening. read more

We recently had our wedding reception here and although its a nice venue and the open bar is great,(1star for venue because its beautiful and 1.5 because Joe and Liz (who doesn't work there anymore) were great to work with)here are some things to think about before booking. The day before our event we had to drop off some things off for the wedding. Amber said things had to be dropped off by 2pm because the venue would be closed. Upon arriving before 2pm there was a rehearsal going on and when my husband asked what time they end, Amber told him 3pm. This was very upsetting because they lied about what time the venue closes causing extra stress to be there sooner than actually necessary as well as the worry of having to leave things there while people are there (who aren't the workers) So rather than being placed around the venue, it was placed in Ambers office. During our details meeting, Amelia, the core person you will be speaking with, upfront told us "I'm lazy today", probably not a good thing to tell people who just put in time and resources for their big day. Also, she was aware we were coming in for our details meeting and when we asked about going to the hall to look at table settings she "oh there's no table settings. I haven't even been there today, ain't nobody got time for that"....this honestly shocked me, I don't know how she thought that was professional to say and very irresponsible. She was aware we were having a final details meeting and there were no table settings made, how does this make sense? I was overwhelmed will all the planning at this point so I didn't have the bandwidth to say anything at the time but it was a major turn off. Why would you say this to the couple about to have their reception there? Fortunately, my wedding coordinator had suggested what to do for table settings so we went with what she had recommended. We had asked if we can park our car overnight because we would not have a car during the event to load things in and they accomodated which was great. Unfortunately during our actual event my husband was approached to pay $13 for parking. This was not mentioned at all by Amelia so we were shocked and upset. So just be mindful because it seems as though if you ask for something they expect something back. During this meeting, there was also the talk about the use of the fog machine, we had specifically asked for it to be used during the grand entrance with strobes and warm white light. Unfortunately we got none of that during our grand entrance and instead the fog machine was used during our first dance. Amelia will act like she cares but to be honest, shes lazy and doesn't care. The customizations for the lighting that you pay for is not done because they have a "grand entrance sequence" they usually use and the fog machine is usually used for the first dance so the day of your wedding reception they will just go on autopilot as opposed of doing what you'd like as well as had discussed. Also, this meeting among others felt rushed. Our coordinator needed to ask questions to coordinate with the venue and Amelia kept giving her a hard time and kept saying within 2 weeks. I feel like being in this business and to make sure things go smoothly, you can answer questions outside of the two weeks, its not like she was asking for an official meeting. It really gave the vibes of she really didn't want to deal with anyone but I guess that makes sense since shes lazy, has admitted shes lazy, so she will do the bare minimum. During the wedding Amelia was rude to one of our guests. One of our guests wanted to grab a new pitcher of water for their table because there was a fly in it. When he walked in front of the dessert table to get ahold of the waiter. Amelia was wheeling the fog machine towards that area and rudely told our guest to "get out of the way!" without explaining why. If she had used the fog machine when planned this wouldn't have happened. But since she used it during what they usually do, this happened and she could've said it nicer and with an explanation but she has a baseline attitude so I guess that's expected. In terms of service, plates were being taken even when our guests were not done eating. I'm not sure if they were trying to speed up the clean up process but I think baseline our guests should be asked if they are done with their food before taking their plate. Also, they weren't refilling waters efficiently. Scope around before booking this place, it may seem like a good deal but it does come with its issues. If you decide to book, just beware/prepare for Amelia's bad attitude and laziness, if you don't mind it than go for it. The day of, make sure your own coordinator makes what you want actually happen because the venue won't (in the aspects mentioned above because they still got things right but these things stuck out and are definitely worth mentioning considering you will be spending a lot of time, money, resources for your special day) read more

Part 2: My wedding was August 17th , It was everything I could have wished for. The food was amazing, the lighting and fog was amazing when we did our first dance. Service was excellent from all the servers professional and the we had a personal server all night that was so cool. Emelia Venue coordinator made sure everything went as planned. I would recommend this venue and service to anyone wanting a perfect day. They honestly care and make sure its done your way. This is high quality service for a reasonable and fair price. Thank you Amilia and Armen for the best experience! My Husband and I were so pleased with everything. Food was amazing , service was amazing. When I walked into Imperial Palace, I felt like I was in a dream. Everything looked amazing, so clean and well organized. My guest fell in love with the place. The bartenders were amazing they even gave us back what was left of the alcahol. My sister had left her dress in the changing room and 3 days later it was still there. Amilia was so nice to save it for us till we picked it up. I would say Armen has an awesome staff/team of integrity. read more

Is there anyway I could give 0 star for this hall? My friend had her wedding at this place few days ago, we had a pretty bad experience regarding with food service, bar service, hall decor....like most of the stuffs were so bad. They charged as a professional price but the service they served were under control. First of all A/C is not working properly. We went to the lady and asked for could you please lower the temperature and she said it's because the doors were open that's why the A/C is not cold as suppose as to cold. Then please provide some security to close the doors for the guests. Again, BAR SERVICE..,the bride told us once that she had top shelf service, then we saw nothing but only Kirkland brand. So we went to the office to ask what are those? Then she started calculating with the receipt and she said yeah it should be top shelf. But wait Let me call PROFESSIONAL. Then the guy came in and they used special drink sound like the alcohol that we all never had. Then my friend ask ok what's it? Then he spelled K I R K L A N D! My friend is like "Costco"? That's the time he like oh you can google it grey goose is Kirkland. We are like yeah yeah we are the people who got their first time alcohol drink. The last thing, the place where groom and bride sit, the light was not work properly. So when we take the picture of them, it's totally dark. At least you should served with the respect for their best time to worth their hard work money. This place is totally SCAMMED, DISHONEST, NO PATIENCE, NO RESPECT, NO RESPONSIBILITY (at all). Armen asked me to reach out to his assistant Amalia to schedule a site tour so I did. First time, Amalia did not respond. Sent an email to Armen to have him call me to schedule an appointment. He calls me on Monday and have me scheduled in for Sunday. I called his assistant just a couple of minute ago (Saturday) to see if we can reschedule. Her immediate response was "you woke me up." It's already 9 am lady; people are already starting their day. At that moment forward, I gave no fuck and asked again. Can I reschedule my appointment? Again, she responded, "I would have to check but you woke me up" You want me to apologize that I woke you up or what? News flash lady, I'm not. This is your job! If you can't do it, quit instead of trying to lose potential clients. What you do is nothing compared to all the men and women out there who are committing more hours than what you're putting in. My best friend had her wedding reception at this venue. The 1 star is for the delicious Persian food. Everything else was a disaster from start to finish. Amelia, the wedding coordinator, was absolutely useless in helping the vendors, photographers, bride, and wedding party. In all fairness, she did set up the candles at the sweetheart table, but that was the extent of her usefulness. Here is an abbreviated list of the greatest offenses that night: 1. The bride needed a dress change, and Amelia had the only key to the bridal suite. When I asked her to open the suite so that the bride could change into her 2nd gown, she told us to use the bathroom. First of all, the gown was locked in the bridal suite. Second of all, the toilet where guests are urinating and defecating is not a reasonable area for a bride to change into a ballgown. Seriously? 2) The vendors, including the DJ, received zero help from the wedding coordinator on the grand entrance, first dance, or any part of the reception. He didn't even know who she was, and the wedding party had to figure out where to lineup and stand. She was nowhere to be found when we needed her. Without any organization, one of the bridesmaid took matters into her own hand and helped the DJ run the rest of the show and assisted him with the timeline for the evening. 3) During the cake cutting, the photographers asked Amelia to move out of the way so that they could take pictures of the bride and groom. In an attempt to look like she was actually doing something, she just stood next to the bride and groom for no apparent reason ... and only moved when one of the guests (who was also taking pictures) shouted her harshly to PLEASE get out of the picture because she was ruining it for everybody. 4) We were told the bridal suite was not secure, and that cash presents have been stolen from couples in the past. For Asian weddings, most of the gifts are cash related. To prevent theft, the coordinator had the only key... and would not allow anyone else from the wedding party to have a copy. The one time we needed to access the suite, she said she was too busy to open it for us. It took 10 minutes of chasing her down and nagging from the groomsmen and bridesmaids before she would finally open it for us. 5) The waitstaff was rude with perpetually grumpy faces. Initially I thought the attitude problem was directed towards the kids (because kids can be annoying, but let's keep in mind there are usually kids at most weddings), but they were rude to the adults as well. The guests at my table were very mild mannered, and were a bit bewildered when they were snapped at for asking for more water, or a different cake that they were not allergic to (the bride and groom had ordered 5 different flavors to accommodate all their guests). It's okay if they didn't want to bring that guest a different cake (which they didn't even do), but they certainly didn't need to be mean to the poor guest! 6) The foyer/cocktail area was way too small for the amount of guests. If you have more than 75 guests, be warned that you will be packed in like sardines until the dining room opens. 7) Many of the servers were standing around watching YouTube videos on their phones. The customer service was truly abysmal. 8) Be aware the valet parking is your only option if you're planning to drive. Several of my girlfriends and I got married around the same time -- so we are pretty familiar with wedding planning, ceremonies, and receptions. Sadly, the entire experience at Imperial Palace was the worst for all of us -- guests, wedding party, and the bride/groom. I could go on forever about how disappointed we are and how much we regret booking this place... but I'm going to leave this here and hope this review can help a future couple in one way or another. read more
