My school recently took a field trip to Impact Gymnastics. It was the best field trip experience I've had in over 15 years of teaching. The staff was fantastic with the students. Such a positive atmosphere! The almost 90 kids were split up into 7 groups. The transition from station to station was seamless. It was apparent almost immediately at how much time and effort was put into organizing the day. Kudos to the Impact staff as they made a lasting memory for our students. We were with Impact Gymnastics for two years. My daughter was in the Dynamite program and was supposed to move into Devo, but the owner told us she wasn't ready because she couldn't do a forward roll on the bar. After nearly a year in that program, I was shocked she hadn't been taught such a basic skill. We bought a small home bar and I taught it to her in about five minutes (after that, she could do it perfectly!!). We switched to another nearby gym and the difference has been incredible. In just 3-4 months, she moved through Devo and is now starting Level 2 team. She's learning more skills than I ever thought possible and, most importantly, she's happy and excited to go to practice. At Impact, she dreaded going and often said the coaches didn't pay attention to her. I personally witnessed uneven attention from her coach, who repeatedly ignored my daughter while focusing on certain kids and "babying" younger ones as I watched them carry them around. My daughter would bring it up on her own after her class which made it even more frustrating. The gym is extremely crowded in my opinion, which to me feels like profit over quality. My son was also in the ninja program and told me he wasn't happy. That hasn't been an issue since switching gyms. Overall, our experience at Impact was disappointing, and we're very glad we made the change!!! read more

I have been meaning to write a positive review of this place for a long time - and it just keeps getting better! My daughter has been at Impact for almost 2 1/2 years and we love it! This time of year always reminds me that when an Amazing coach moves on, it will be okay--because my child can keep growing and learning from new coaches, each Amazing in their own way. Coaches leave for reasons like relocating or pursuing education--not due to poor management. Management truly cares about staff, students and their families. I am so happy we found this place. I took my son to 2 other gymnastics/ninja locations for trials and I wasn't impressed. My son after about 10 min of being hesitant-- jumped right in the ninja class and didn't look back. We've had two classes now and I'm so happy! I think the coaches are AMAZING! So patient, fun and most importantly encouraging. I love how the class is broken into older and younger children, and also they are at different stations just long enough to keep their attention at this young age. I appreciate that there are 2 coaches for each group, to help keep the children on task and give lots of extra help as needed. No consistency in coaches, so no chance to build a student/teacher connection as every class I've been to has been a different instructor. What you sign up for is not the coach you get. They let the students jump around until their 55 minutes is up. I think it is more about "filling in the spots," than actual technique. Go elsewhere if you are serious about gymnastics. But if you want to pass some time and don't really care about your child's growth. This is the place for you! read more

Don't waste your time unless you'd like unprofessional child "teachers" to "teach" your "class". Zero structure in " classes"and employees sitting on the sidelines eating chips and other food items during your class while the other child "teacher" struggles to come up with a plan for the "class". Then they'll pull money from your account and when you call to ask about the unexpected charge the owner says "I'll help you but you better not give me an attitude or act pissy with me when it's this early in the morning"..??!! What!!!? What century is this? If you take money you shouldn't take, be nice, say your sorry and refund the money. Pretty simple. The class we had our son is was a joke. They're literally like 16 -18 year old kids with no direction and no class structure. The place was very very dirty and looks like they haven't vacuumed or just cleaned in general for a long time. I spent 10 min on the phone with someone who seemed pretty normal and nice and explained the situation with the random charge 10 days after paying $116, and also wanting to cancel. She seemed baffled as well by the random charge and said that she would talk to her "partner" and would be right back. Several minutes go by as they're obviously discussing and trying to come up with an explanation when the "partner" comes on the line and says "can I help you?" Ok so we're going to play that game and pretend your "partner" didn't just tell you everything that we had just discussed? Ughhhhhh. She said she would refund the $81 we'll see..... read more

I had really high hopes starting out. The facility is huge with tons of equipment and lots of older kids and young adults that look very skilled. Unfortunately the beginner level 1 and 2 classes are lacking structure and consistency with coaches that most young children or anyone needs when starting a new skill. If your kids are already skilled this might be a great facility for them to practice but if they are just starting out and need to learn the basics, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

We tried the Oh Baby and Lil Ninja classes for our kids. We are new to the area and comparing this gym to the one we used to take our kids too, but it just does not compare. The gym itself was dirty and I saw kids that were obviously sick on the mats.. parent issue or management or both? The ninja classes must be new and seemed more like themed day care for an hour, not instructional or skills based. I don't want my kids sick all the time so will not bring them back. read more

Love this place! My daughter attended several times per week for several years (approx 9-11 years old) and just loved it. She progressed to being on a developmental 'team' with meets. Do not be fooled like me! The OH Baby class is NOT a class. On the website it says it's a free CLASS for 6-17months. When I called to inquire about the Saturday class, the person I spoke to said they had room for my son. I just needed to pay the $35 annual registration so I did. When it came time for Saturday we headed in all the way from avondale just to find out it's just an open gym. So of course they "had room" because you just come an play. There is no class! They just let your baby crawl around in a dirty old gym that smelled like sweat and feet. So sad and disappointing, we were so excited and it ended up being a waste! When I inquired about a refund because it was not what was explained to me, the office lady said no one there could give us a refund, they had to get permission. She texted the owners and did the talk to text, I heard her say, "she misunderstood". I told her I didn't misunderstand, both people I spoke to when I registered my son didn't tell me the correct information. We tried it out since she didn't get a response from the owner and were not impressed. Save your money! I didn't even want to fight or stress out about not getting my $35 back. Don't take your babies here to crawl in this dirty gym. read more

My daughter has been part of gymnastics for 4 years now and this is our 5th facility. We have finally found our home. We spent part of 2016 and most of 2017 at a gym that had a fantastic facility but lacked in professionalism, coaching and fun! My kiddo is on team and trains hard long hours but at Impact she has never once whined about going or being bored! We can't say that about any other place, she was bored out of her mind and dreaded practice at our old gym. I'm so pleased with the owners of Impact. The first time we stepped in the facility Coach Sam(also one owner) was able to evaluate my daughter on the spot and made her feel wanted and cared about. She spoke with us about our options and concerns having come from another gym. 6 months later and I can say Coach Sam hasn't changed! We love Impact! My daughter started gymnastics almost two years ago. We asked around to find a gym that not only did a great job teaching gymnastics but also had a good environment that I want my daughter to be in. After hearing great feedback from lots of folks, we enrolled at Impact, even though there are two other gyms closer to us. I'm so glad we did! The coaches are kind but also teach good discipline and hard work. My daughter has improved so much and just made the competitive team. You hear so many horror stories about the world of gymnastics and I really didn't want my daughter's sense of self worth to be based entirely on her gymnastics abilities. Impact is like a family and they encourage the girls to not only train hard but to be encouraging of their teammates. They teach them to be good people as well as great athletes.
