To be honest, from looking at the outside, I did not expect to see much in this store. However,…read moreonce inside, it's bigger than you think, and absolutely crammed full of merchandise. This place bills itself as a thrift store, but the prices are more in line with what you'd see in a consignment store. The aisles are very narrow in order to accommodate all the merchandise. They definitely have some collectible items, including some vintage stereo stuff. Inside you'll also find appliances, toys, furniture, tons of clothes, home decor, drum sets and electronics. They do offer sale prices on certain color tags which are likely the items that have been sitting around for a while. About half the space is given over to clothing and accessories, you'll also find three dressing rooms to try them on. This business doesn't just accept donations, they will purchase them as well. This thrift store carries a higher quality number of goods by far than your average Goodwill, but then again they are priced higher. Plenty of photos to peak your interest below.

A nutribullet for $10. They have a wonderful collection of clothes for all sizes. I'm in a bigger body and sometimes finding clothes second hand is super hard, not here. They have a large and funky selection. If you are treasure hunting, this place is pure gold and a hidden gem. Thank me later.

I thought I'd try Gomez Western Wear to give a new business a try. The selection inside Gomez was nice and service was friendly. I also saw a group of kids buying shirts for a quincenera. Then, I found a common black button up shirt my dad had liked via our FaceTime conversation (he lives in a different state). I thought I'd get him a new black shirt for Father's Day and because he only dresses up on special occasions (therefore has a limited selection). I ended up sending him the shirt via USPS in a big package around July because I sent it along with some other goodies for 4th of July. Fast forward to August 3rd he wore it to a dress up wedding. At the wedding the buttons started to pop off. That is so embarrassing for not only my dad but also me. I cannot believe something like that happened. My dad is a timid person typically this made it worse. He left the event due to the shirt falling apart and being utterly embarrassed. I've looked the website and understand the unfortunate return policy. Now I know where not to shop. I just hope you all start selling better quality products or offer better return policies in the future because of that I will now be taking my business elsewhere.

The worst part was how rude their customer service is. My 2.5 year old is deaf/hard of hearing and took off her hearing aid in the store. My husband put it in what he thought was our cart. When we realized he had misplaced her hearing aid, I went back inside to look for it. I asked one of the stockers to help and they ignored me. I then went to the front to ask for help and was told that I would need to look in the carts myself. I told the lady that my daughter needs the hearing aid to hear and they are very expensive but she blew me off again and told me to look myself. I then told her I had spent $60 in the store and that they were $12,000 and asked if she would please help me. She told me " not with that attitude I can't." She then forced me to take a breath and continued to berate me about my attitude after she had refused to help me. She finally did make an announcement and someone came forward with the hearing aid. I'll never go back to this store and would never recommend it to anyone.

As one of yelper has already pointed out, there's usually some derelict with his hand out at the front door. About 75% of the store is given over to clothing with everything else around the perimeter. The prices here seem pretty much in line with your average Goodwill, although some seem higher. They do have a lot of kids toys and furniture. This business is primarily geared towards clothing, and this is a cash operation only, but they do have an ATM, which will happily charge you a fee. It's worth a look around, and maybe the photos included will get you through the door.

It was the…read moreSaturday before Halloween, so it was particularly busy at 11:30 a.m. I had to park on the side street closer to Cosmic which isn't the best since it's a dead end and at the halfway mark, there are signs for residential parking only. I just lucked out there was a space on the street just a couple hundred feet from their parking lot. Either way, I had been excited to see they were opening a store so close to where I live. Loads of people were shopping, likely for last-minute parts for their costumes for parties later that night. I only saw two employees working, but it could be there were more in the back or some that I didn't see on the floor. My costume needed denim shorts that hit mid-thigh, and while the weather had been cold lately, they had some in stock, I just wasn't willing to pay $26 for them. (I had a plan B for my costume anyway, if the shorts here didn't work out.)  I also came in with a tote bag full of a few pieces to sell. I ended up jumping in the line to pay for things since the area to sell clothing had no one at the desk, or even any signage that indicated what to do if no one was there. So, I waited patiently for the girl at the register to ring the two groups in front of me up, but in the meantime, I eavesdropped and saw she was great at making small talk and not awkward at all. When it was my turn, I told her I wanted to sell, and she had me go sit by the wall near the selling counter and call for someone else to help me. That person seemed conflicted about whether to look through my garments or assist the growing line of folks trying to buy, but she decided to help me out. I maybe had 10 pieces tops (in fairly good condition), and while she examined each and set them aside, she told me they'd buy for all seasons and next time I do a closet clean out, to come on by... but that was my closet cleanout. :/ I had some J-Crew and Madewell tops and a Zara jumper. (Yeah, I know, fast fashion ain't doing so hot right now, but to lessen our impact it's better to reuse than to trash it, right?) Anyway, I left a tad disappointed considering my last Buffalo visit a few months back led to $100 cash.  If you're looking to sell, it sounds like they want a few more higher-end goods or things that are trending. So dust off your old '90s goods, if you were smart enough to keep them. I, on the other hand, will be donating the items I attempted to sell to women in need versus dropping them off at Goodwill.

I told her she was doing a great job and that her kindness really mattered, and you could see how much that meant to her--it was one of those quiet, genuine exchanges that stays with you.
