A great spot to grab a burger and a beer! Friendly service and a lot of interesting signs on the wall! Totally worth the visit!

Becky and I took the scenic drive from Joseph to Imnaha (highway 351). Beautiful, sunny morning, the canyon(s) were lit up, just now showing some green. We stopped in at the Imnaha Store and Tavern for a couple rounds of pool and Breakfast. Amy was the only staff on duty, greeted us with all smiles, Coffee (a little strong) then took our breakfast order. Becky chose the Western Omelet with homemade Salsa. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. After a a couple games of pool, (Becky won both), our breakfast was served. Amazing portions, Chicken Fried Steak was Crispy, Gravy was homemade , (no canned Gravy here), (2) Eggs over easy, (2) crispy Hash Brown Patties. Becky's Omelet was very generous, right amount of Salsa. A very good morning drive, breakfast and back home. (Naptime for me) For Lodging, RV hookups and Camping checkout the newly remodled. Ok, you are not likely to find yourself outside Imnaha Store and Tavern by accident. Buried deep in Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, it's a one-stop shop for groceries, local themed swag and food and drink. Grab a seat at the bar or one of the about 8-10 tables if you are in to eat. The day I stopped in for lunch I was only one there for the first 15 minutes or so. There was only one young lady working the whole place. I ordered one of their stacked, hot sandwiches with fries and a draft cider. She mentioned she was only one working there and she'd get right on my order. Then over next 5-15 minutes 8-10 more travelers came in, some just to grab a cold Gatorade, but 2 more couples ordered food and 2 more sat at the bar and ordered draft beers from the solid domestic and local brews. At this point, she was literally running from front of house taking food orders and pouring drafts, back to the kitchen to get everything on the grill. An awesome performance. And she was smiling the whole time. My stuff came out hot and delish. Highly recommend if you happen to drive by, stop and give this place your business. Good old-fashioned American grit and atmosphere. Highly recommended. read more

My family and I, which were nine of us coming from Umatilla County and Union Oregon had Father's Day prime rib dinner. We were greeted like old friends and she was Johnny on the spot getting drinks to our table. Our reservation was for 3:00 p.m. and within 15 minutes of us sitting down if even that, she had salads on the table for everyone and about 15 minutes after that again if even that, our prime rib dinners were served! The prime rib was spot on it was very delicious and the baked potatoes were huge and piping hot! It was served with asparagus and they even offered us more if we didn't think we had enough. Several of our party order dessert and there was plenty to choose from. The blueberry cheesecake was amongst the favorites, but they were all delicious! I would definitely recommend stopping and eating at this place as the staff and the owners are super friendly. read more

Always a great stop for food and a cold beverage when Im in this special part of Oregon. This year my daughter and I stopped in on her first trip to Hat Point, and she was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was read more

Worth stopping in at if you're traveling through Imnaha, this little place has a few beers on tap, a decent menu selection and a small grocery for goods if you're heading up the river. The decor is quintessentially small western town -knick-knacks and old-timey expressions adorn the walls, along with an oddly-placed poster featuring former Portland Mayor Bud Clark exposing himself to art. Also, if you are a fan of wolf preservation, you probably won't feel welcome here -some of the signs make it clear wolves are not terribly popular among some people in this part of Oregon. But if you don't care either way about the wolves, stop in, have a beer and lunch before venturing out. read more

I have been doing an annual trip here for almost 20 years. The food is always great and the service is always fantastic. I don't know of anywhere else in the world I would get more satisfaction from an ice cold PBR served in a mason jar or stainless steel pitcher. read more

What a wonderful place! We had a breakfast cooked by Sallie and it was great. The cinnamon rolls are as big as the plate. Great conversation with the gentlemen of the town. We will go back. read more
