There are a few top notch therapists that I am so lucky to have met, and Lois is in my top three. She is expert in many forms of massage, but more importantly, the atmosphere she creates is beyond what most places offer. She is divine. I don't live in California anymore, but when I visit, Serenity Sol is a must on my list.

She may be tiny, but she is STRONG!! She has different massages and packages that you can choose from. I normally go between "The Escape" (focuses on the back of the body) and "The Exhale" (total body) massages. Ms Lois keeps track of your massages and makes great recommendations on what you may need. She really listens to whatever your concerns may be and will tailor your massage based on what you want. I try to work out at least 3-4 times a week, so I try to alternate my massages based on how I am feeling and how long it has been since my previous massage. Let me tell you, if I could get a massage every week, I absolutely would. Especially from Ms. Lois!! She is the absolute greatest. She is so kind and has such a beautiful spirit. Trust me, if you want a great massage and want to feel better than when you arrived...book Ms. Lois NOW!! You will definitely be a fan after the first massage (: p.s. she always has a treat for you after your massage which is a plus in my book!

For my second visit, I got Tracy as a masseuse…read more I originally requested to have Amy, but the owner Jimmy was very helpful over Yelp messages. He recommended I book an appointment with Tracy, as her techniques were very similar to what I enjoyed during my first time at Silver Oak Massage. Overview: - Great pressure: I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. The neck is a sensitive area for most, but Tracy navigated the knots well and made sure I felt comfortable during my appointment. - Received feedback/direction well: I told the staff upfront I had new lobe piercings and that my ears could not be touched. Didn't have to worry about that one bit. Also, one spot in my lower back was very tender - had to ask her to use a slightly gentler touch and she accommodated right away. - Tail end of appt, head massage: so good I dozed off for a few mins - Lavender oil: felt nice when applied, but I likely won't splurge for it the next time I stop by Had another great experience AND another stamp for my stamp card. Very soothing. Got my tension in shoulders and back of arms swept away! This place has massage therapists true to their craft.

The good: I was gifted a Christmas Groupon for this place…read morefor a 90 minute massage with hot stones. I made an appointment through their online messaging portal and that was easy. I liked the ambient music and lighting. It looks like they offer Thai-style massages too based on how the rooms had bars on the ceiling. The massage is a great value. I liked the foot soak in the warm water. The bad: The neighboring client kept making grunting sounds and farting. The "medium" pressure massage was really weak and soft. I generally think medium pressure is already slightly too much but this one felt like there wasn't a lot of therapeutic benefit due to the lack of pressure. The therapist didn't locate and massage out the knots in my back. There were people gathered around outside chitchatting and you could hear them from inside. There was someone watching a movie inside the store and I could hear their phone audio throughout my massage. I was cold most of my massage. I think maybe the 2nd room with the table possibly had a heater option but I wasn't offered it. The interesting: The massage was broken up into two segments. Normally, at most massage places you're in one room and you're on your stomach first then your back. However, here, you're on your back first in a different area with your clothes on and then transferred to a different room on your stomach with your clothes off. During the first half of the massage, they sprayed rose water in my face without announcing it. I didn't mind but found it a little humorous that it was a bit sudden.

We were fortunate to book the Valentine's Day couples massage package, which made the visit even more special. While the pricing may be slightly higher than other Korean spas, the value becomes very clear once you experience the level of privacy and care they provide. If you're someone who appreciates quiet, personal time whether as a couple or with family, this is absolutely the right place. The package included a full massage along with access to the hot stone spa. The hot stone spa area also features a shower whirlpool, which was incredibly relaxing. They provide shampoo, body wash, and hair treatment products, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Before entering, they provide two sets of clothing: one designated for the hot stone spa and a long gown for the massage session, which adds a thoughtful and comfortable touch to the experience. Overall, the atmosphere reflects a very refined and authentic Japanese cultural aesthetic, peaceful, clean, and detail-oriented. It truly felt like a private retreat rather than just a spa visit. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking to unwind in a more intimate setting.

However, it appears the website was a little misleading and learn that they don't do facial extractions only after I had already book both treatment and already did the first half then when it came to the facial treatment and asked for clarification the clinician stated they don't do extractions or have the tools to do so - the staff was friendly enough to provide a refund. I did have high expectation for this place considering the reviews. It would help if there wasn't a language barrier with the front desk lady because I had ask for clarification only to arrive and services was not as expected because this visit costed me my day and no facial was completed. The massage was just like any other. Overall really like the place and staff are sweet and friendly.

Why it's worth hard earned cash? Imagine your body as a…read moresymphony orchestra--each instrument representing a system: muscles, nerves, hormones, immune cells. When you're in chronic pain or stress, the orchestra plays out of tune--the violins screech, the percussion races, the flutes can't keep up. Now imagine magnesium as the conductor's tuning fork. It doesn't play an instrument itself. It doesn't hand you new strings or hit the drums. Instead, it emits a calming resonance--subtle, precise--that helps the musicians retune themselves. When you immerse yourself in a float tank, it's like laying the entire orchestra in a perfectly quiet concert hall filled with that tuning resonance. The magnesium ions, the warm water, the silence, the weightlessness--all create a chemical and sensory silence where your body's instruments can hear themselves again and fall back into alignment.

A bit surprised by all the hyper positive reviews…read more If this had been my first float experience I'm not sure I'd ever have gone back. Instead of the egg-shaped pods, Float clinic has little rooms which I thought looked roomy and interesting based on the photos. The good: * I do like how you can step directly from the shower into the float tank. The tanks are fairly roomy, I'm 5'8" and felt I had a decent amount of room. * the bathroom was clean and equipped with hair dryers * the lobby is cute and inviting * friendly staff, good overview of the float process The meh: * my float tank door didn't close all the way, and my room light didn't automatically turn off which was distracting. I eventually got out and flipped the switch * salt wasn't fully dissolved, tank maybe a little oversaturated * I actually prefer the elliptical pods, I found the corners distracting * shower curtain was gross, I wish they just had like a half wall which would be easier to clean * there was caution tape in the shower and the frame around the door of the tank was popping off - just didn't look that nice. * just the one bathroom and the hairdryers are in there so you hold up the toilet if you use them - would be nice if there was a separate space for this * the place I usually go has thoughtful touches like little packages of Vaseline to cover any small scrapes so the salt doesn't burn, hot tea available, other little things - Float Clinic didn't have those, was pretty bare bones. Final verdict: for me, this was just ok. I've had a much nicer float experience at my usual spot and now I'm spoiled. Glad I got a float in while I was in town but wouldn't return.
