They forced everyone to exit up the stairs which was never disclosed before. I had my 18 month baby with me and they did not care. Absolutely disgusting to see such people. I hope karma bites you in the ass and I pray this place goes out of business. This is not a KID friendly nor a SENIOR friendly place. When asked why we couldn't exit the same way we entered he said the mall has closed which was a lie! I saw people entering and exiting from the mall once I got out. Go to York cinema. Hope this place goes out of business soon.

Not a bad place to go to see the newest Bollywood flick while saving some money ($3.00 at most). However, the thing that ruins it all is that even in this day and age this theatre doesn't know better than to promote stale movie times on it's website. We checked Flixster app (and to be safe the theatre's own website too). We then went to see a movie at 6:30 on a Sunday and were shocked when it only played at 12:30 or 9:30. We were greeted by an attendant at the ticket counter who told us that they don't regularly update their movie times on their website. And that we were the third customers to show up to see this movie at this time. Movie goers beware! If you do decide to go to this theatre, make sure you 'call ahead' to make sure the theatre is actually playing the movie at the online advertised time.

Louisa is magic…read more She's the Sales Manager at SW Hotel Toronto Airport. And. She. Is. Magic. Seriously. She may be my favorite Ontarian (not including my wife). Every interaction with her over the last few months has been amazing. She's kind, personable, clear about what's offered, honest about what's not, and helpful about assisting with anything (within reason) that she can help with. I was a little reticent to use SW Hotel when I first saw the place. From the outside, there's really not a whole lot going for it, because it used to be another hotel, which Sandman Hotels had purchased. Stepping inside, I was surprised to discover that the design and layout is drastically nicer than what the outside and parking lot would suggest. The rooms (I've stayed here multiple times now) are also nice, and include either a King-sized bed (in a bedroom, along with a convertible sofa bed in the living room area) or two Queen-sized beds (with a convertible sofa bed). All of the standard amenities are included (fridge, microwave, etc.) and the bathrooms (washrooms, whatever) are nice and clean as well. The pictures on some popular travel websites appear to be very dated compared to what I was offered during my stays. Also, many of the reviews (on some popular travel websites) are unfairly harsh and whiny. Louisa did mention that renovations are happening and they're tackling it floor by floor, which would suggest that certain floors may not be as modern and aesthetically up to date as others, but other than some design choices, everything is likely the same. I know the 9th floor isn't that great, but the 2nd, and 6th floors were nice. They have breakfast available. It's like... $6-7. I can't vouch for it. Even when it was made available to me, I didn't get a chance to eat it. All things considered, for the price ($80-100 depending on various factors), this is a very nice place. The excellent service that I've received from Louisa and team has only solidified my positive feelings about SW Hotel. I can only imagine that it will become nicer as the renovations continue. I was already a fan of SW Hotel before my interactions with Louisa. Now I'm bordering on becoming like an irrational Justin Bieber fan where SW Hotel can do no wrong. P. S. The pool and fitness center are pretty decent.

Absolutely the worst convention I've ever been to in my life. Never in my life have I seen such…read moreridiculous organization and logistics for an event that's supposed to house 10k+ people. Organizers are greedy and I expect some lawsuits especially after this weekend (2022) 1. Parking - the parking lot is full to the brim. Luckily I went earlier so I found a spot... at the very very back (10min walk) but as I left in the afternoon, there were cars parked on grass, gravel.. every single part someone could leave their car, someone did. It was so packed to the point that people couldn't get in at all and were given no instructions on where they should park. Turns out many people that didn't have passes still came in and took up parking spots just to be outside and take pics of people's cosplay?! Of course no security to help any of these from happening.. 2. The line was 4H long due to lack of planning of logistics. It doesn't help that it was 30*C out with people in full cosplay and costumes... they did not plan at all because volunteers were confused and so were we. Standing in the beaming hot sun, I thought I was going to pass out. We finished the water we prepared and had to walk to the Tim's across the next parking lot to get some drinks so we didn't die. The convention should've had more medical personnel near the end of the line and should've had some of the beverage options near it. Also there were no options for anyone with a disability; they were looped into the line with the rest of us. Super dangerous as we saw people passing out, people being wheeled away with a stretcher and people threw up from heat exhaustion - so easily preventable with some beverage options, maybe set up some shaded tents for people to wait in... use your damn brains! At the front, one of the organizers were like "the line isn't THAT bad" - ma'am, were you the one waiting for 4-5h? The one who went to the hospital after waiting? The ones that went home from heat exhaustion?? Nobody should be risking their life at a convention they paid for to have fun. & this line is just to get some dumb badge - learn from other conventions and events and do paperless! Scan from your phone and be let in way faster.. also why did they only have one single file line? It was complete bs and stupidity. 3. Inside was insanely lame - many promised appearances cancelled last minute and lines inside for everything was crazy. People reaching over your head at booths, it made everything soooo uncomfortable. Also there was no AC (saw someone being wheeled out again inside!) and like.. two water coolers? The line was insane for them too. It was such a health hazard! I would never go again! I've paid for cheaper events that are run more smoothly. AN definitely oversold to take advantage and undelivered... so many health hazards in one place! Take this advice and apply it for future cons because it was just ridiculous.

I could care less about a badge, just scan my ticket and let me in. The line is outdoors in the sun and heat with no shade. The line wrapped around the building with certain parts looking like a terrible game of snake. The asphalt also was radiating heat upwards. People were throwing up and passing out. Even inside, people were carried out by EMS from heat exhaustion. You would think inside would be air conditioned; well you're wrong. They had AC on maybe near the registration desk above the volunteers - the equivalent of a baby blowing through a straw. There was no air flow inside. Overall the whole convention felt like a crappy flea market that you had to wait ungodly times in line for. Conventions usually have small swag bags at least with some goodies. All you got was heat stroke at Anime North. Organizers were greedy and oversold tickets, only stopping sales after 2/3 days were done. Severely disappointed.
