From the very beginning, it was clear how much he cares about his customers and about delivering a great result. Jeff was extremely transparent upfront about the budget and clearly explained where we had choices to go higher or lower. That honesty meant our expectations were spot-on as the project moved forward. There were no surprises, and the project was delivered on time and on budget. The quality of the work was excellent, and communication throughout the process was very strong. They also pushed when needed to help us hit important deadlines around the holidays, which we really appreciated. Just as important, the subcontractors were kind, professional, and respectful. Even though a basement remodel is a major disruption in your home, the entire experience was smooth and positive from start to finish. I couldn't recommend Colorado Custom Basements more highly. If you're considering a basement remodel, put them at the top of your list.

I cannot say enough about AMPAC. Shawn and his team (Brian and Kyle) were outstanding. We purchased…read morea new home and the previous owners had it painted in Sept. 2014. The painting company had reinforced rotten wood and caulked the weep holes on the windows on the north side of the house, and painted over it all. We found a significant amount of water damage under the concrete Hardyboard siding down to the framing studs and insulation. We contacted AMPAC and Shawn and his team came out, provided an estimate and began repair work within a week of our estimate. During the repair, we noted further damage to the window sills in the house and had these added to the estimate, removed, mitigated and replaced (8 sills total). The team did such an amazing job, you cannot tell they have been replaced. They were so precise to cut the siding in the correct locations, removed and replaced the OSB, insulation, siding and added vapor barrier around the windows. Kyle was awesome and responded to our phone calls and or questions within 24 hours. Brian was amazing and they were both on site daily to monitor the work. I would highly RECOMMEND AMPAC as your go-to company if you need any restoration work done. Professional, Competent, Integrity, Fair and competitive pricing... After all that was said and done and the extra work we had them do, The total bill was actually less than the estimate. AMPAC - You Guys ROCK!!! Thank you for a great experience in a stressful time.

UPDATE 3/28 (hopefully this doesnt delete my original post): As a reply to the response from the…read moreowner...wow. Brad's a shady person, and the longer you talk to him the more you'll pick up on that. I promise you that he's just giving more lies on top of lies with his "response". He told me verbally in person when he was at my house a completely different price than he is now saying. He's a straight up liar. There is no misunderstanding, there is no miscommunication, he 100% told me $1500 for the wall repairs. Period. I vividly and specifically remember this. Here's some more details (because I HATE liars): Originally, I ONLY had Brad come by to give an estimate on repairing the wall damages. That is it. He said $1500 for the walls to be repaired. Then, I told him there might be mold in the basement and he immediately went into salesman mode. Saying how they have this new technology for mold removal and how he prides himself on having the lowest cost for mold removal and blah blah blah. He went on to say that most places charge thousands of dollars for that work, but he only charges $1000, and he would give me a discount on it at $750 for the mold removal. So we agreed and even shook hands on it (as he was just about to leave) that the total would be $2250 for the mold removal and wall repairs, and he said they could get it all done in a day or 2. This is important to remember because in the end he refused to do even just that work. Then, b4 he left, I was feeling good based on how he was talking to me and the price he gave me so I thought to have him look at some other work we need done. I showed him 4 interior doors that we want replaced with solid core doors, and some kitchen drawers/cabinets that need repairs. He looked and said that doors are $150 for labor plus the cost of parts (that was the only consistent part in the formal estimate). He didn't give an exact price for the kitchen repairs, but he did specifically state that he could get ALL of the work done (walls, mold, doors, kitchen) and keep the cost under $4000. Then I waited for him to send me the formal estimate, which listed walls at $3000. Just to show you another example of a red flag discrepancy in his pricing, the cost for mold removal was only $300 in the formal estimate. If you recall, I mentioned earlier that when he was at the house he said it's normally $1000 but he would be so generous to give me a discount at $750 for the mold removal. If his pricing had ANY kind of consistency he would have either: A. Told me while he was at the home that the price for mold would be $300, or B. Listed the cost of mold removal in the formal estimate at $750. To this day he still hasn't explained that single price discrepancy alone, let alone the others. However, clearly, Brad is NOT a man of his word, and anything that he tells you verbally means absolutely nothing, and he will just change the price on you all Willy nilly as he sees fit. And that's why I wasn't able to hire him, because I caught him trying to scam me and pull the ol' switcheroo on me. So he gives this new price of $3550 for ONLY the walls and doors. With him promising the walls for $1500, just do the math thats over $2,000 just for the doors. So with $600 for labor, that means parts would be $1450. This still just seemed like way too much for the doors seeing as anyone can get them for $200/door...so I asked if he could do the walls and doors for $2100 ($1500/walls + 4x$150/doors) as long as I provided the materials. So that is exactly when he said he wasn't interested in my project anymore. It wasn't "no I stick by my pricing and here's why..." it was "I'm no longer interested". I mean, how much more obvious does it need to be that this jerk was trying to scam me and was just mad that I wasn't falling for his BS. I was NOT out of line in any way for asking him to do the walls and doors for $2100 if I provided the parts (based on his pricing in his formal estimate). Remember, he originally came by to quote ONLY the wall repairs......he had absolutely NO reason to withdraw his interest in my job. He tried weasel his way around it to make it seem like he was honoring the original price when he really wasn't, and the way he did that was SO dishonest. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LIAR. The fact he's trying to defend his actions just adds to his level of dishonesty. If it came down to it I would even testify in a court of law that what I am saying is really what happened. I'm not the kind of person to just make something like this up. You can check all of my other reviews, they are all 100% legit. He's got some nerve to just dismiss what I'm saying as if it's just how I "feel". No. This isn't simply "how I feel", what I'm saying is literally what happened.  No joke, no exaggeration, no misunderstanding, no BS (other than Brad's). The fact that Brad is trying to spin this the way he is, is so incredibly offensive and disrespectful to me, and it just proves what pure scum he is.

Wes took a work description and hand sketches by us to provide a complete work estimate. With Wes' interpretation of our description he helped refine the work to develop a bid that was well within our expectation for cost and performance We selected CWHR because of the price and because he is a mountain area contractor with over 25 years' experience with mountain home construction. We had other bids for about the same price or more but some of these contractors were from down-the-hill. Wes was highly recommended by a friend who had used Wes and was completely satisfied with his CWHR's work. All aspects of the projects were performed well because of Wes' and his crew's flexibility, great attitude, and expertise. All aspects of remodeling were observed: rough & finish carpentry, exterior siding, plumbing, ventilation, electrical, hardwood flooring, floor & wall tiling, drywall and texturing, and insulation. We are very satisfied with the outcomes and glad we learned of CWHR. We recommend you give CWHR a chance to bring a fair price and great quality to your project. We highly recommend CWHR and Wes Hinds to everyone!

I selected Phil's bid, and work began on December 9, 2024. While the initial quality was acceptable, it declined during the second week as Phil prioritized a large commercial project. Order errors further delayed completion beyond Christmas. Phil resumed work in January, but progress was slow due to limited manpower and missing materials. On January 29, 2025, he completed several sections and agreed to correct issues such as misaligned siding, poor layouts, and incorrect trim (see pictures). He insisted on caulking and painting that week, aiming to finish by February 3. Due to heavy snow and freezing temperatures, I postponed painting until conditions improved. I have not seen Phil since. Over the past year, I have repeatedly contacted Phil via email and text. Although he occasionally promised to schedule the remaining work, he never followed through. The job remains unfinished. I request that by April 15 he either complete the work or refund sufficient funds to hire another contractor. My Responses: I can provide receipts for all the materials and supplies used. The receipts clearly show my credit card for payment. I can provide the materials and supplies list you provided. The lists have many mistakes and omissions, which were the source of the delays. My bank statements show payments of $7,500 on December 10, $7,500 on December 13, $7,500 on December 19, and $5,000 on January 19. Monthly temperature data from January 29 through February shows that February's minimum temperatures never exceeded 40°F. Such conditions are not suitable for caulking or painting.

The estimator even said he didn't think the bathroom was is that bad of a condition and suggested it might be repairable instead I received a quote/estimate a few days later and it was both comprehensive and priced competitively (2nd lowest of the quotes I received).
