I am a person of color and so always hesistant when getting skin treatments due to problems with over/under pigmentation and scaring issues that we POC are prone to .I made an appt for consultation and after speaking with Elena I felt comfortable to proceed with the procedure to camouflage my upper arm and breast stretchmarks on the same day .I am the color of oprah and have stretchmarks that appear white since i was in my teens I discussed the above concerns with Elena who was 2 steps ahead of me .She explained that she does this technique on POC in multiple steps ensuring that she is going lighter at first and then adding more color in the next treatment as needed .This makes sense to me because you can always add pigment but would cause scars if too much was put in .The studio is clean and calming ,she has great aseptic technique ,great bedside manner and i felt like i have known her for years .She was able to easily mix the right shade for me based on my actual color and my skin's undertones .The procedure itself is only midly uncomfortable in some spots and soothing in others ,i fell asleep sometimes. I went to Elena today for a scar camouflage on my face. I had gotten a mole removed near the bridge of my nose and it had left a black scar where they burned the mole off. My scar was literally the color black, and even though I knew this would be a challenge to anyone to camouflage, Elena took initiative and got started right away after my consult. It may take another session before I get the results I want, but Elena was extremely professional and comforting. I left with feeling I had scheduled this procedure with the right individual UPDATE: The tattoo has healed, and the scab fell off on its own 6 days later.. After getting brachioplasty on my arms I was left with scars running down from armpit to elbow, developed an ugly scar after an infection so I had to wear long sleeve shirts to cover them even in the summer. Elena has been amazing since our first phone call. She is very passionate and sets realistic expectations with her clients. After patiently answering all my questions I decided make the 4 hour drive for my first appointment for stretch-mark camouflage. I have spent more money than id like to admit with zero results so I was a bit hesitant. Elena took her time color matching and making sure I was comfortable. The first session is longer because she is a perfectionist but minimal pain maybe 2/10. About a week after the initial swelling and redness was gone I had literal tears of joy when looking at my results. Elena is a true master of her skill! When I first met Elena I felt like I had to live with the horrific scars from my hysterectomy, c-section, and breast lift.
