I book an appointment where I had clearly asked if Bri can work on it. After having a consultation with her. She said she was booked and that another girly there would do it for me "and she's so good at it". I agreed only because I was a couple days away from birthday. When get to my appointment the girl has no clue what we're doing hence why I asked for a consultation with the Bri. Then I have to break everything down to her and she started telling me I would pay more so I asked her to speak to her boss. She eventually got it down I sat in that chair for hours and at this point the salon is closed and I get up to see my hair and it looks like it's missing ALL of it. It literally was so thin it looked like I was getting pranked. She proceeds to say "next time we can add more". Mind you she's the expert. I had to tell her that I'm missing hair because there's no way that's it, she proceeds to check the system and it clearly said the total grams I needed, she apologized asked me to come back for the rest. ( the first picture where I'm wearing yellow is when I got home). I'm livid at this point because this is my time being wasted. I also had paid before she mentioned anything because she was in a hurry to get a tip, and I still tipped because I'm a decent human being and I know people make mistakes. After that I got the remainder installed. After my 6 weeks I decided to get my hair moved up. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because I really liked the fullness and how long my hair was, so I call and again a guy said he can book me. He said he has someone who isn't an expert at extension but she is starting off, I asked yet again if Bri can do it. He said she's busy so I agree again to someone else. I sat in that chair for hours again. She didn't even know what she was doing either and she was shocked this guy would schedule me to her. She eventually chopped so much of my extensions and placed them on all the way at the bottom of my hair all clumped up. Basically I had the top of my hair sticking out looking chopped. (2nd picture with grey sweater) here's the kicker and the cherry on top to why I decided never to go again. Bri the owner decides to check me out because the girl had another appointment so she tells me my total and she proceeds to look at me in my face and tell me "she's new with extensions so next time we book your appointment it'll go to a total of $700 because she took longer on you" I looked at her and said ok book me. I was never going to show up because that is ridiculous. It's not my fault she's new, and I didn't get anything added I still have the same 2 big rows and 1 mini. How dare you not accommodate to me and excuse the fact that she's new and uneducated ??? I'm not an inconsiderate person and still decided to tip and went about my day. Then a couple days go by and my extensions are all clumped at the bottom which I could wash good and it was unblended ( which I knew but they all "the experts" let me walk out like that by the way). So yes I called and demanded they fix it. Bri is the one who finally decided to help and they all looked at them and said they weren't done correctly (they let me walk out like that). I eventually got them taken off and booked else where and this is where me and my new stylist noticed the extensions were extremely thin. So I automatically texted and called and received no response for days and then the same man said he would talk to Bri. Never did receive a response so I called and texted again she eventually responded and then I responded and then silence. Until I texted saying I would show up and see her in person. She called back within seconds and finally I had a conversation with her leading to yet again no solution or accommodations. I briefly explained my extensions were very thinned out and I needed a replacement (she promotes the extensions are guaranteed replaceable within 12mo). She mentioned only if still natural and not dyed so I mentioned the gloss was the only thing and I've taken care of them very good. She said they can't be replaced because they were glossed and she said I can still stop by or send her pictures for her to send to her manufacturer. For what? To supposedly keep an eye out with future extensions. I proceed to tell her I was never told any of these regulations and they were the ones who first glossed them and continued to. If I would've known I would've never glossed them because at the end my hair is black?. She proceeds to say " yes I will admit my stylist don't have the best communication skills and it's something for us to work on". No accommodations no solutions and no apologies. You can't work in a field for 6+ years and not care for your customers. Knowing what I put up with is sad knowing I wasn't cared or considered in a place I paid and was polite and gave multiple opportunity to. So I have attached all of my evidence. read more

Found Brianna via Instagram and decided to give it a try, as she had an opening without like a 3-week wait ( I didn't want to wait, I can't plan my life for 3 weeks ahead). She was very nice and took her time to consult me, look at my references and discuss realistic results and expectations. Most important, she actually cares about your hair and makes sure it won't get ruined by too much bleaching. My first time doing balayage and I really like the look. Was a bit more expensive then I expected ($310 before tip), as the salon price tag online indicated $250, so this was the only downside. Bri is amazing!! I found her on Instagram and I loved her work. She specializes in balayages and blondes but she can do more than that. Her salon is located on the corner of E McDowell & N 16th St. There's a free public parking lot right next to the salon on McDowell. Walk-ins are welcome but I highly suggest you make an appointment especially if you're trying to get your hair dyed. I arrived for my appointment and she was ready to work on my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she executed it. I wish I had a before and after picture but I got a haircut + balayage. My hair was super brassy and dimensional from my previous balayage and she melted & blended it perfectly. Her prices are pretty reasonable but please keep in mind that her prices say "and up." It depends on a lot of factors like difficulty, hair length/thickness, etc. I ended up paying around $300 including tip but I feel like that's pretty normal because of my hair thickness, length, and how long it took (about 3.5-4 hours total) After the visit she gave me advice on how to take care of my hair and even sent a picture so that I wouldn't forget. She also said I can contact her anytime if I had any questions. This mom/daughter duo are excellent. They really take their time to create the look that you are seeking. I've been a loyal customer for the past 8 months or so, seeing them every few months and they are always such a pleasure to be around. Every girl that I see getting their hair done while I'm there, looks amazing when they are done. In my opinion they are color experts, they are current with their style techniques and trends. I get color balayage and a trim every time I go, they nail it every time. There was one instance where my hair turned brassy or looked brassy to me, so I called the next day and they were willing to schedule me asap. When I went in she corrected it (spent hours) and did it without asking for any more compensation and fixed my hair with a smile on her face. She didn't try to guilt me or shame me into feeling like it was my fault that my hair wasnt how I originally wanted. That, to me, shows her character, so I had no problem tipping her a nice amount. They are a very skilled at what they do, they personable and very warm. I recommend to anyone! Dont be discouraged by the part of town it's in, these ladies know their stuff. I started seeing Latasha for regular haircuts a year ago. I was always happy with my services but was never notified that her prices were going up $20 per cut. ($35-$55) but it was always worth it because she was lovely and I was always happy. Today I needed to cancel an appt for tomorrow at 2:00 pm. I text the number listed at 2:28 today and they charged me the 50% cancelation fee. I was irked because I've been a long-time established guest and wasn't even given a 28 minute grace period. When I responded the person replied "you canceled at 2:28. That's past the 24 hour window. I told them I would dispute it with my CC company and the refunded me by the time I got off the phone. I appreciate that but the way they handled the situation felt impersonal. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

I decided to try out this salon after seeing some of the pictures on Facebook and noticing their prices were less than my usual salon. I normally get balayage and it had been 4, going on 5 months, since I last got my hair done. I booked online for the balayage touch up which states prices start at $145. I came in for my appointment with Latasha, showed her pictures of what I wanted, which is very similar to what I normally get, and started the process. From start to finish it took 4 hours..... Yes, 4! My hair used to be extremely long but I cut it 2 months ago so it is a little below shoulder length. My hair appointments have never taken 4 hours, even when my hair was down to my butt. Fast forward to the end and my hair did not come out they way I wanted, it is extremely gray and I asked to highlight my face which means go lighter in the front which didn't happen. I go to check out and the girl tells me $310 because it took more for my hair?!! I could not believe what I was hearing. I'm wife is very particular about how her hair is cut and is very picky about who she goes to. She got a bad haircut in September of 2014 and grew it out ever since. She's wanted her hair cut for so long, just hasn't trusted anyone to cut it. Over the last few months her IG stalking of local stylist focused in on just one, so I booked my wife an appointment before Christmas to get her hair colored and cut. (Sorry I don't know terminology... I've heard ombré, low lights, highlights, bolage etc... I just smile nowadays lol) Well it's been about a month, she loves it and I haven't heard her stop talking about it after someone compliments her. As a husband this means much. I was not impressed by the service I received at this salon. I had been looking for somewhere new to try and did a lot of research using social media. Through Instagram I found this salon and I was excited to support a small family owned business. I scheduled my appointment through Instagram and I received a text message the next morning saying that my haircut was moved by an hour. I figured no big deal, but I then realized that I had scheduled both a hair appointment and color so my color was probably not moved. I felt super bad because I live very far and that would mean I would be late to the appointment so I called the salon to explain where my confusion came from. The owner was rude and I understand I guess? I get to the salon and Latasha was very nice. However, the owner gave feedback on my hair inspiration to the stylist and never acknowledged me. It was awkward and I felt very uncomfortable. I went in thinking I was going to get my hair dyed one color all around. After showing the stylist the picture she recommended me to get my hair toned. I really don't know anything about hair, but I didn't realize that it would not cover my whole head and I specifically told her that I wanted my roots done because of my gray hair. She did a fantastic job on the haircut, but I hate the color of my new "toned" hair. I feel I spent a lot of money too. I do not recommend this place. read more

I came here because i was referred that Leticia did an excellent job. The girls that referred hair is always on point so i was super excited to get mine done. My hair was pretty dark (black/dark brown) with blonde ends from the last time i got a balyage. I didn't think i was going to go as blonde as i did considering my hair was dark but it came out almost platinum at the ends then fades to blonde and random streaks all throughout my hair and dark only on the crown of my head which a random streak of blonde, i originally wanted a very well blended blonde balyage. I was expecting to go through a couple sessions to get what i wanted. But nope i feel like she wanted to get it over with and do it all in one not caring about my hairs condition after! My is hair falling out now!! Its super dry (it looks/feels like hay) and the breakage is REAL! My hair was not like this before. She left me cooking for a good time maybe an hour or even more since she was doing someone else's hair at the time when she should have been paying attention to my hair. BTW i noticed that this is what they do, book other appointments in between yours, which i didn't like. I get it they need to book as many ladies as they can so make their money, all for them but pay attention to the ones you started on first. For as much as she teased my hair to "blend" and then yanked my hair when combing out the teasing, my hair is NOT blended at all. Its only fairly blended at the top where you can see when i style it. She kind of made me feel bad too because i had so much hair like she just kept bring it up, almost complaining. If you're a hair stylist aren't you supposed to be used to working on all hair types? Whatever, i always knew i had thick hair and no one else has complained before. If i had thick hair then i have normal hair now from all the breakage. She said she was going to charge me 280 originally which i didnt mind and ended up charging me 180 plus the hair cut. Oh! and she wasn't even going to cut my hair when it supposedly came with a cut and style on the website until i asked and she barely cut anything and charged me an extra $35. I feel like even she knew she fucked up because she charged me less than she had told me. Walking out almost 6 hours later i was just happy to leave my hair looked nice but then again you dont notice how it really is until you go home & do it yourself. I really went in there thinking i was going to come out bomb af. I'm very sad, now i have to spend more money to fix it. I feel like ive been botched, honestly. read more
