Then I went inside to check out the place. Overall it's a somewhat average convenience store, but Sapp Bros has a lot more than that. It kind of felt like they had everything. They had a hot bar with chicken and egg rolls; both I wanted to try but knew I should. One thing they had that I loved was a clean bathroom. Road trips can be really scary in the sense that you never know what kind of bathroom you're going to find, but this one was great. I got a coffee, was waited on by a really nice woman and was on my way which is really all you want from a gas station stop. And it is right off the exit so you're off and on really easily.

They had a wide variety of drinks, and so it yourself smoothies and fresh coffee. They had chicken and wings and potato wedges, and other amazing things. I came in looking for…read morea pizza warmer to get a slice of pizza to which I was told that they never sold pizza by the slice, even though I was at the Speedway in Northlake, IL one time and they had pizza by the slice there. Next, I ordered a personal cheese pizza using the screens they had. After it was done, I was asked if I had paid yet, to which I responded "I have my ticket right here". The lady proceeds to tell me that I have to pay for the pizza with the ticket at the register BEFORE I can even pick it up, so I reluctantly agreed and was mumbling to myself that it was stupid as my dad and I walked to the register. I just want to mention that I work at a gas station/pizza place called Casey's in Paw Paw, IL and we allow people to pick up the pizza with the ticket if it's not payed for yet and bring the pizza to pay at the register, so I find it incredibly stupid at this Speedway location that you can't bring the pizza with you when you give them the ticket and bring the ticket back after it's paid for. Lastly, my dad tried to pay for everything with his points. He was able to pay for my pizza and coke slurpee, however they told him he couldn't pay for his lunch burrito with points. A FUCKING BURRITO. WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF MAKING ONE ITEM UNPAYABLE WITH POINTS WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE IS FUCKING PAYABLE WITH POINTS? I'm not coming to this location ever again. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Like I say in one of the captions for my pictures, the only 2 things I found enjoyable about my experience were my pizza and coke slurpee.
