July of 2023 I ordered a Ford Maverick from Schiller ford, I knew it would take some time so I was patient for months, it wasn't until I heard others who had ordered from other dealers months after me and already had build dates that I became annoyed. I started contacting the dealer periodically to check on the status and was always just told Ford hasn't picked up the order yet and they can't give me any updates. When I heard a couple people I know that ordered in March 2024 and already had build dates in June, I began to get angry. I contacted Ford customer service and was told they had no record of my order and I would have to talk to the dealer. I told them if I could get any information from the dealer I would t be calling them. I then sent an email to the CEO of ford and head of customer relations and within a day I was contacted by ford, they took the information on my order escalated it and gave me a build date. Something maybe the dealer could have done months ago and I wouldn't have been waiting for almost a year. The same guy also told me that the dealer had a few others stuck in their order banks, so if you ordered from Schimmer and have been waiting a long time you're welcome. Your vehicle might finally be on its way to production. I had told the dealer several times that I wanted to be notified as soon as they got a build date because my fear is they would wait to call me until the truck was on the lot and then low ball me on my trade saying take it or leave it we will just sell it to someone else. They assured me they would so I would have time to sell my trade myself if they were unwilling to give me its value. I waited three days after Ford had located and scheduled a build for my truck and still no updates from the dealer. I wrote a letter to the president expressing my dissatisfaction with the follow-up and customer service and why did I have to be the one to go to corporate and get this order moving, why didn't any of his staff take the initiative to find out why it was stuck in limbo. I received a snarky email back with absolutely no appologies and basically telling me to feel free to buy the truck elsewhere. I have waited almost a year, my trade is now a year older, interest rates are higher. If he had offered even one apology for his staff not following up and a willingness to do the best he could on my trade, or in any respect at least pretended he wanted to earn my business I would have gone through with the deal. But he might as well have told me to F- off, go somewhere else. So that's how they treat their customers.

Since then, I have attempted multiple times to resolve the issue. I called on Friday and again on Monday, spoke with two different individuals, and was told I would receive return calls, which never happened. Due to the lack of follow-up, I had to extend a rental car while waiting for guidance. Being told afterward that the tow would be "covered" did not address the failed repair, the safety risk, or the lack of communication. I expected better quality work and responsiveness for a safety-related repair. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

Well... not only did they fit is in but they scanned the car, determined the issue, came up with a game plan, and solved the problem to get is back on the road. Their team even worked through lunch!! We had a two hour drive left and a flight to catch. The office staff gave me a ride to town to get lunch while their mechanic worked tirelessly on his solution. They offered very competitive pricing and worked non stop to deliver my vehicle in a shorter time then planned. They are also helping us to support what happened by documenting what they saw. That is way above what I would have expected.

Took van to ARS for radiator leak/replacement after Chevy dealer, two hours away did an emergency fan/clutch repair. They quoted me almost $1500 to replace the radiator while I was there, I declined. When I took it to ARS to get the work done my costs were almost $500 less than GM Chevrolet. Also saw that Chevy had damaged a lot of my fins on radiator when they replace Fan/Clutch. (I will deal with them!) The owner and staff are always friendly and ready to assist. They even had a loaner car for me. (As long as I had full coverage on my van)! Just topped off the gas tank! Bottom line-No one is perfect including GM Mechanics, but being honest, considerate, and giving a better labor rate than any other dealer or reputable shop is a winner for me! They answered at 8:00 AM, had me in by 8:10, and I was back on the road by 9:30. The moment I described the issue, they guessed what it was and said, "If we're right, you'll be back on the road this morning. If not, we'll go from there." Sure as shit -- they were right. They were fast, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely good people. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially considering how quickly and confidently they handled everything. If you're traveling and experiencing engine problems, you can 100% trust this shop. Last time I went they replaced an oil filter housing. That was done wrong and they ended up replacing it again. I go to get an oil change and they tell me that not only was my oil filter cap not threaded on all the way. They put the wrong grade of oil in. Don't patronize a business like this!
