He is so skilled and so passionate about what he does and it shows! I've never seen such a genuine group of staff. Everyone makes you feel important and takes the time to really listen to you. I know every time I come, I'm going to be taken care of. I moved to Tennessee almost two years ago and I always travel back here for my appointments. Our daughter was born a month early and my husband and I truly believe she's here today safely because of Dr. Preskill. We truly believe he saved her life and for that we are forever grateful. Even tho my labor was a scary situation because of the well being of my daughter, it ended up being an amazing experience. To find a doctor who you can completely trust with your unborn child's life is hard especially being a fairly new patient. From the moment I first walked into the office, I was greeted by the nicest staff ever and a kind doctor who made me feel comfortable asking the one million questions a mama to be has. She is straight to the point and she is a calm collected professional with an ability to provide a lot of data about patient safety and satisfaction. I am scheduling direct to OR for a corrective surgery. After a nightmare at NM this is an easy situation at Loyola. Just have to go to my own PCP for preop (another advantage! Loyola winning more points here!) The doctor noted how needlephobic I am and decided to skip doing the in office nerve block and schedule me direct to OR in January.

She acted with zero regard for patient autonomy or consent. After my experience, I shared her medical notes and documentation with multiple physicians every single one of them was shocked by the choices she made and the lack of medical judgment she showed. She may carry a medical license, but based on her actions, she does not practice with the knowledge, skill or respect required for safe patient care. If you value informed decision-making, competent providers, and basic ethics stay away from Dr. Kim Johnson.

I had two inductions which were quite long, and the second difficult. For my most recent, she stayed through the night with me despite the switch in on call doctors and delivered my little guy. It meant so much to both my husband and myself. As a gynecologist she takes her time with you during your visits to address all of your concerns. If you are in need of a fantastic OBGYN I highly recommend Dr. Johnson. And, if timing is not in your favor you will feel just as comfortable with any of the other doctors and midwives in the practice.

I was a labor and delivery nurse at Prentice from 2006 to 2015. I have worked with every physician on the labor and delivery unit and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this group is the best you can find. I've seen these physicians work well with low and high risk patients; let me tell you, if the s#*t hits the fan, this is the right group of physicians to trust with your life. Not only are their skills and knowledge of the most recent evidence-based practice up to date, but their bedside manner and rapport with the nurses, residents and anesthesiologists are the best I've seen. Again, I say this as a patient and past labor and delivery nurse. I have seen many emergent situations on the unit over my 9 years at Prentice and I have witnessed how different physicians/physician groups handle emergent scenarios; the skills and communication techniques utilized by this physicians group (Tan, Mazzullo, Buscher, etc) are top-notch. My first child was delivered by Dr. Tan; second child by Dr. Norlin (no longer with this group) and my third child by Dr. Buscher. I could not have asked for a better team of physicians. I also see Dr. Tan for my annual visits. She typically sees me on time and spends a good amount of time providing education and answering my questions; she never rushes through my appointment. The front desk staff is always kind and responsive to billing questions and appointment changes. I've been reading through some of the other comments regarding this physicians group on yelp; their opinions are definitely valid. However, if you're looking for a group that nearly ALL RESIDENTS AND NURSES at Prentice go to for their OBGYN needs, you've found the group.

She is a real 'tell it like is' type of doctor, which I appreciate. She's not at all judgmental, and very caring. She always remembers things about me so you can tell that you're not just another patient. She takes the extra time to ask what's going on and never rushes me if I have questions. As others mentioned, the hours aren't the most convenient, but for a once or twice a year visit, which is all that I go for, it's easy enough to take an afternoon off work.

They don't have the most convenient hours (I think last appt is at 4pm), but in general they can usually squeeze you in same day (depending on the ailment!). Nurses are all very nice... Located in Ressurection Hospital. Easy/free parking lot across the street and they take most insurance plans...I've been going for nearly 5 years without issue, which is saying a lot for a Primary care office.

I've found Dr. Elterman to be a very gentle soft spoken doctor who appreciates the vulnerability of dealing with urological issues which have a physical and emotional impact. His staff was nothing but friendly. They have a very busy practice and every time I've been there they've been working with a lot of patients. There are some comments here that take the team to task. My experience was nothing like that. I wonder if our complex, convoluted health insurance system creates frustration that gets misdirected at the people who have to navigate all the different systems in order for a medical practice to exist. As well, The Elterman center is staffed by mostly Russian language speakers so I also wonder how much of the reaction is affected by our American culture which has spent decades demonizing Russians in our movies and television creating a subconscious bias to hearing the accent as harsh and brusk. BTW - I was not paid to write this as some imply. Also, I waited until my condition was resolved before adding my two cents in order to get a complete experience. For what it's worth...
