After 8 weeks, I still have not received a call back from the "scheduling" department, even after confirming that they have all my information. My health insurance fully covers the procedure, as I confirmed before requesting an appointment. After 6 weeks of waiting, I went with an alternative option and had it all completed in 1 week. On top of that, the procedure is laser, so I was back to work the next morning (about 18 hours later), were as if I had it done here, I would have been down for 2 or 3 days. read more

My doctor is excellent, but the office staff is so bad my family and myself will be switching Urology doctors. They are so rude. I actually had one hang up on me just because I said in a regular tone "she didn't understand what I was asking, so let me explain it again ". You will be put on hold every time you call for around 15-20 minutes. Call at least 45 minutes before they close or they will put you on hold until they close and then you're hung up on. I need to express how easy going we all are and I'm only doing this hoping things could change there before it gets out of hand. Again DR Manecke is more than awesome. My only complaint is when I brought up the office staff he replied "the office staff had nothing to do with him". Sorry doctor we love you, but your staff does have something to do with you, their incompetence reflects back on you and we can't take their rudeness any longer. Retrain them or hire new people before you lose more patients. read more

Was served by Dr. Manecke, Dr. Burns and Dr. DesRosier for my diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. I can not recommend them highly enough. 5 Stars is not enough for the team at Advanced Urology. Everyone, Doctors, Nurses, and especially the Radiation Technicians (Jill, Melissa and Denise) were totally welcoming, reassuring and willing to spend as much time with me as I needed. After over 2 years of seeing Dr. Cho, after 3 surgeries, after two urinary tract infections and several different medicines (pills), I still have the same problem (prostate) that I had when I first saw Dr. Cho. My father was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in January. We came to Dr. Nyugen thinking he was a top doctor for the surgery my dad needs. Unfortunately it is April and they have not even scheduled the surgery yet. We have completed every step and they said they are so busy they don't know when surgery will be. Why keep taking on patients if you can't give them the care they deserve? Every appointment is weeks apart. Then they said they would schedule surgery within 48 hours and no one called. After a week my mother called and they told her the doctor is very busy, has young kids and a wife who likes him to be home. Again, why take on new patients with aggressive cancers if you can't treat them in a timely manner. I would stay far away from this place if you have cancer. Patients are not their priority at all. read more

I had an appointment today at Advanced Urology. The staff was very prompt, and very courteous. When I sat with Dr. Marks we focused on one of the two things I came in for. After spending a good chunk on possible testosterone treatments, I brought up how I was having some ED issues. She kind of gave that subject a quick brush off. Had me scheduled for blood work, and...I am scheduled to see her back in a month. Hopefully, then she'll listen to my other chief complaint, and we can figure something out. read more

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January of 2021 and started my search for a surgeon. After meeting with Dr. Nguyen I felt very confident in his ability and knowledge in robotic radical prostatectomy. He took the time to explain the procedure and post surgery recovery. He also, answered all of my questions and concerns. Having performed well over a thousand robotic procedures was very reassuring to me. I knew that I would be in good hands. I drove 30 minutes to see a "specialist" and waited 40 minutes in the exam room to see Dr. Marks for 2 minutes and I am not exaggerating. She asked no questions, offered no information or help with the symptoms I have been dealing with, and was extremely impersonal. She was trying to escort me to the front desk before I even had a chance to speak. I will NEVER return to see her nor would I ever recommend her. had an appointment on 3/12/2024 at 11:45. checked in at 11;40 was taken to an exam room at 12::00. waited until 12:30 with no further contact with office personnel. stepped out to see if they forgot me. saw a person on staff and was informed of a power outage. Dr. did come in 10 minutes later. visit with the Dr. went well. as regards to wait time definitely not acceptable. I scheduled a same day consult and vasectomy 3 days ahead of time. After the helpful correspondence over the phone, I showed up for my appt and had to sign a few papers that were already filled out with my information. They got me into a room before my scheduled appt time. Hanna, the medical assistant, was extremely nice and informative. She was very thorough and made sure I was left without any questions or concerns. Hanna and Elsa prepped me for my procedure and were both very welcoming and professional. They made any worries I had disappear. Dr Tek made quick work out of my procedure. It only took about 20 min and I felt exactly NO PAIN at all. Hands down this is the best that this could have gone. Thank you Dr Tek and your competent team at Advanced Urology! I recommend them to anybody. read more

I have delt with Dr. Tek in the past and he is hands down one of the best doctors I've ever been treated by. I recently had a vasectomy done and used him again. I was extremely nervous and I have to say, from the moment I walked in, the front desk staff greeted me and made me feel right at home. Dr. Teks assistant Elsa came and got me prepped for the procedure. Not only did she explain everything completely, but she also had me laughing the entire time. Really put me at ease. You can tell Dr. Teks skill and knowledge are a 10. The procedure was painless and quick. I strongly recommend Advanced Urology. read more

On or around 3:00 pm on August 12th, when I first entered Advanced Urology, the girl at the front desk summoned me to step forward, not by words, but by curling her middle finger. Also, Doctor Burns was 45 minutes late. But I have no complaints about that, since he said there was an emergency and apologized for the delay. But while I was waiting in the examination room, I could hear several female assistants outside the door gossiping and laughing and saying how "Creepy" some of the patients were. Neither of these instances are professional in my opinion. Despite of these 2 instances, I still give a rating of 4 stars because I'm satisfied with Doctor Burns so far. read more

Dr. Marks is horrible! Save yourself from receiving poor care and choose another provider. Dr. Marks did not explain the pellet procedure she was about to perform on me. I told her how I watched a video of the procedure and she scolded me for doing so. I'm glad I watched the video since she did explain a thing to me. I never received any post procedure directions therefore I had to call the office to ask questions. I ended up with a large hematoma from the pellets Dr. Marks put in that re-opened my incision. I was able to get in for a same day visit with Nicole a nurse practitioner who was amazing!! Nicole spent time, answered all my questions, and was very knowledgeable. I have switched doctors and will gladly follow up with Nicole in the future. The medical director needs to address Dr. Marks behavior. Dr. Marks is single handedly giving Advanced Urology a poor reputation. I recommend not renewing her contract when it's up!! Providers like her will cause patients to receive care elsewhere. read more

I am blown away. Never have I ever had a doctor's nurse tell me, "there is nothing else Dr. Burns can do for you." This after multiple visits, procedures, and medication tries - was a shocking experience. There was no real attempt at diagnosis - all of the problems I went there with still exist, and I ended up getting a referral to a different urologist. I am shocked. I've never seen a doctors office just give up on a patient. read more

This is the only medical building that they tell you to wait outside in your car despite the building's huge lobby having only 2 people in it and despite us telling them that we were fully vaccinated 7 weeks ago with Pfizer vaccinations. We've been to several medical buildings. A doctor in the Amita conglomerate sent us here, so I assume it's an Amita property. This is so ridiculous. An near empty huge lobby where you can easily sit 25ft. away from the next person and they tell you to wait out in your car and you cannot wait in the lobby. I recommend you go anywhere to a medical office NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE AMITA CONGLOMERATE!!! read more

Amazing medical office that has great parking, friendly staff and is state-of-the-art! Dr. Manecke and his associates genuinely care and spend time with each and every client to I sure that all of their questions are answered and they are cognizant of their options for treatment. I waited over an hour for a procedure only to be told that the doctor had to perform surgery--I only found this out after I asked how much longer I should expect to wait (they couldn't be bothered to reach out to me in the waiting room). This was after they made me reschedule due to the doctor scheduling a procedure during my originally-scheduled appointment. Dr Constance Marks, very educated, very much the wrong fit for me and full of NOTHING but grey answers for THREE MONTHS (of ringing up bills). So glad I went for a second opinion to big market academic institution, less then 20 miles away(Chicago). I'm lucky to be alive. RUN the other direction. It's a small world and I know several patients of hers that wished they had NOT used her for procedures.
