I already have naturally long lashes (blonde though!) and my lashes hitting my glasses was a real problem. MK gave me a full set of lashes that don't brush my glasses and look really great. Of course, when you are having anything done to your eye area, you want the technician to be very gentle. MK's touch was SO light, I could barely feel that she was working on my lashes - I appreciated this very much! She gave me a cut and made sure I liked it before sending me off. However, she was trying to up sell me into a wash, curl, adding toner etc which I was not fond of. I said I wasn't interested and it got uncomfortable which I didn't like. Other than that though, the experience was good. I was in earlier (I arrived 15 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment) and I was treated with good service.

She insisted that I needed a little trim on the bottom, and that she will only take off an inch off and it'll be a simply straight cut. So I said okay. After the toner and the quick trim... I went to the register to pay and was blown away to find out she charged me $35 for that quick trim... I payed $35 for the toner with an extra $35 for the trim she insisted on... with taxes it came up to $75 dollars, I still tipped $5, although I was unhappy and didn't want to... I walked out of there having spent $80, and she didn't even style or blow out my hair..... it was still wet at some parts The stylist should have told me at the time of suggesting the trim that it would cost $35 insisted of surprising me with it at the till later. I expressed my surprise at the extra amount to the owner, hoping she would come up with some solution, but nothing. Being surprised at the till with double what you expected to pay... and leaving with no style or blow out done to my hair is just bad service. Being a mother of two small kids I do not have time to style my hair at home, or to go to salon often for that matter. So having payed $80 I would expect my hair to be at least styled. I will not be going back there or recommending this place further.

The whole time I was filling out the form I was hoping she wasn't the one doing my lashes. Unfortunately she was. She showed me to the bed, asked me to lay down. Asked me if I'd had my lashes done before, I responded, I have. I told her how I would like them. She said okay, then the only time she said a word was when I asked a question. I felt like she should say okay, putting this on now. But maybe you guys like more of a quiet atmosphere, which if fair. It's nice though to hear what's going on your face. Again she wasn't mean, she just wasn't friendly, inviting, warm. Overall experience was that it just didn't have the feel I like when getting my lashes done. Dead silent. Then at the end I guess some glue was on my eyelid and she was trying to pick it off, I couldn't tell at the moment, as I'm laying there with my eyes shut. It hurt as she was trying to get it off, I winced, she said Nothing, she gave up, had me sit up, wipe my own eyes with a cloth, which I found weird. Then said oh there's glue on your lid, it will come off later. I said ok. (I've never experience that at a spa before) It's not a small amount of money for a tint and lift.
