We weren't…read moreexpecting to find authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine in the heart of Rome, but this place completely exceeded our expectations. From the first bite, everything tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were spot-on--bold without being overpowering, and clearly made with quality ingredients. It was honestly probably the best food we had during our entire time in Rome, which is saying a lot considering how much incredible Italian food we tried. If you're craving something different while visiting Rome, or if you're a fan of great food in general, Pico's is 100% worth a visit. A hidden gem that delivers way more than you'd expect!

Service was poor an extremely slow. We waited about 15 minutes for water and drinks. When I was finally tired of waiting on the food after 40 minutes I got up to pay and leave but it finally showed up. Food was okay but not good. Had I used the bathroom when I got there I would not have ordered at all. I think the worst bathroom I have ever been in at any restaurant. It made a port a potty look like a luxury spa.

Their menu looks really busy until you realize that every item is written in Italian English French Spanish and German. They call pizza "pinze" which I found odd. I had the rigatoni pesto , and it was delicious. Their cacio e pepe was also quite good. I honestly don't know how those waiters kept up with everything. I recommend.

We had just arrived and were hungry, so we sat despite seeing the menu in 4 languages-- a tip off that this is a tourist restaurant and not the real deal food Everything was quite Plain. It was edible but the lasagne noodles were overcooked I ordered a salad when I saw that we landed in a tourist restaurant. The plus: I had a big pile of arugula which is healthy it was topped with bresaola ( made out of the restaurant and pretty good) and Parmesan ( average quality) and olives ( tasted like canned I can get in the States), and 4 slices of totally plain grilled eggplant ( no salt. No carmelizatikn, low flavor) I used the balsamic on the table to add dressing to the otherwise bare greens. So, in sum, healthy but not delicious Service is very friendly, and eager to upsell. They know how to bring the tourists in and feed them

You must visit this place if you're a craft beer lover. They have a nice selection of Italian craft…read morebeers on tap. In addition they have a great bottle selection. Chris, the manager, speaks excellent English and he turned me onto a Belgian sour beer that had been aged over 10 years and was mindblowingly good! I also had a burger on my second visit and it was very tasty. Make sure to order your food and drinks at the bar because there's no table service.

Missed it by one day…read more.. Continuing on my quest to eat non-Italian food in Italy (I'd been on a pasta bender and needed to get off for a little while), I found Brasserie 4:20. Beyond being impressed that the craft beer/burger scene in Rome resembled what it was in the States, I was shocked to find Roman bros. America, we have to do better at our exports. Alas, it's true. There are Roman bros and they congregate and work here. So, guys just be aware that if you come here, you service will come after any cute thing in a skirt that wants food/drink/whatever. The music is bro-y. The vibe is bro-y. It's a bro bar. That said, they have some good things to offer. Beyond connecting with bros from another continent, you come here for beer & burgers (and rock music and brownies but mostly beer & burgers). Despite not being much of a burger guy, I figured that 'when in Rome...'* Thing is, this burger didn't taste much like a lot of the ones I'd had back home. I ordered the angus burger with cheese, onions and pickle. The first thing I noticed was that the meat tasted much better than most of the burgers I'd had in the States. I don't know whether this was because of the angus beef or because we're not getting the real deal in the States. I'd had angus beef before. It didn't taste this good. Had I eaten beef like this regularly, I don't know that I could have given it up as easily. All this is to say that the beef wasn't as seasoned as it could have been. Salt & pepper before it's grilled, boys. That's all you need. Good quality beef. Needed more seasoning. To accompany my burger, I tried two beers: the Royal Brown and the Terzo Tempo. I don't know if styles change from country to country but I found the brown to taste more like a stout and my cream ale was REALLY light. This isn't to say that I didn't enjoy drinking them (well, the cream ale was a bit of a disappointment) but they provided a different taste profile than I was anticipating. I experienced all of this while sitting at the bar (the perfect vantage point, in my opinion). If in Rome and in need of a pasta/pizza break, head to 4:20. The bro vibe is real but such could/should be expected when eating angus beef burgers and drinking craft beer. *I told you it would be used more than once. I told you.
