I love this place when visiting Rome. Yes, I know, Rome has so many restaurants that are delicious, but this place kinda feels like you're at your family's house! The people who own Homebaked make you feel like you're family! There is a lot of different kinds of food here that range from breakfast to lunch, but any time of day, I will get breakfast from here! I usually order the pancakes with eggs and sausage. The portions are similar to the ones you would get in the US so if you're not a big eater, you can probably share! I always have food to take home afterwards. They also make tasty caffe lattes and they do have soda from America (which apparently taste different to my daughter). The ambiance, like I said, makes you feel like you're at home. It's clean and comfortable. Sometimes they do get really busy and you'd have to wait for a table, but I think it's worth it. read more

Beautiful spot, you can see Vatican dome from your table when sitting outside. You can choose where you want to sit, inside or outside. Service was great, fast and friendly. Food made to order and delicious. We had eggs, bacon, pancakes and French toast. Everything is fresh and tasty. I would probably give this 3.5 stars if I could. My food was good, don't get me wrong, but if you are expecting a good old American breakfast, know that it won't be as good as your favorite place in the States. I found it to be a little overpriced for what it was. It did, however, satisfy a craving for American food, so I guess it did the job. The owner was also very nice and was talking to all of the guests in the restaurant. read more

Molto bene! While visiting Italy from the US, we were wanting to find something for breakfast that would be a bit for filling than our typical espresso and croissant. This is an excellent spot for a more traditional Western breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles...etc. The only thing better than the food was the service. Highly recommend!! read more

This place is AMAZING. Genuinely the best breakfast I had throughout my entire 2 week trip but honestly, better than some in the US. We devoured our food so quickly that I couldn't even take a picture of it. They have iced coffee & my white girl self was over the moon. So great to see an American style diner with an America owner from NY! This place was like an oasis in the middle of the dessert, it was just what we needed and wanted. We had enjoyed a ton of Italian Food and were so excited to find a good old fashion American breakfast. Service-pretty good, it's a really busy place just outside the Vatican, so seems like there is always a good crowd. It seemed like the owner could've used an extra hand. Decor-he really tried to make it like a country style kitchen and he did with that. Simple and lots of out door lighting. Food-good old American dishes. Pancakes, bacon and eggs, and bagels. Loved this place! Was craving something not Italian and found this place. I got the bagel sandwich and my friend got the breakfast wrap. Both were delicious! One of the employees (I'm guessing the owner?) was soooo kind! He was very welcoming and nice. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for something other than pasta/pizza. If you're american visiting europe and just missed waiters that come to you instead of letting you sit there for 30 min like the other european restaurants, actual ice in your water, real iced coffee(american with espresso), some actual crispy bacon, hot sauce, salad, and RANCH dressing, this is where you need to visit. the staff is very friendly and speaks English well. No joke, i even saw the owner bring out a doggy water bowl for a different customer's dog to drink in the restaurant. the ambiance is appealing. I love it here. read more

The food is average American breakfast. Nothing exceptional. The staff is overworked. The owner is not nice either. By far even worse service than my local breakfast spot in LA. There was no more toilet paper in the restroom. When we asked for toilet paper the owner had a nasty look on her face. You should not have run out of toilet paper by 10:30. You should apologize to your guests for the inconvenience. read more

Had Bagel sandwich with eggs and bacon and hubby had breakfast wrap. Very good and very filling. Owner is from USA and speaks Italian as well. When you walk into Homebaked you are greeted like family - it's like you've just sat down in someone's home. The owners are so sweet, welcoming, honest, and super helpful. The atmosphere is better than that of an American diner. It's owned by an American man and his Italian wife. So this is definitely the real deal! You won't find prosciutto or mozzarella on their menu! The location is absolutely stellar - it's right next to the Vatican and you have a beautiful view of St. Peter's dome. It's a great place to relax with a cup of coffee and a nice taste of America! The food is superb! I really love the Noemi and the Olga! The cakes, pies, and cookies are absolutely phenomenal! My personal favorites are the carrot cake and the cheese cake (this cheese cake tastes just like my mother's and I was absolutely stunned when I took the first bite --- it may even be better than my mother's but don't tell her I said that!) Did I mention their amazing pancakes and that they have REAL AMERICAN BACON AND BAGELS!!!!! YOU CAN GET A BACON EGG AND CHEESE ON A BAGEL!!!!!! AND IT'S MADE CORRECTLY!!!! YOU CAN ALSO TAKE SOME BACON AND THEY'LL PUT IT IN A PANCAKE! BACON PANCAKES! 11/10 would recommend. I believe that the owner was the person who served us breakfast and he was great. A member of our party got motion sickness on the taxi ride over and he was very accommodating and kind to try and make that individual feel better. He went above and beyond as it relates to our unplanned fast/ 'turny' ride to eat. Once we got there the food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the waffles and the iced coffee!!! After 7 days in Italy, my family and I craved an American breakfast so incredibly badly. This place was a haven for us!!!! Eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, freshly squeezed orange juice... all at a very reasonable cost. The owner is from the states and was so friendly and made us feel right at home. Our only wish was that we discovered this gem of a place sooner on our trip- we would've been there everyday!
