It was a very hot day in Cagliari, but eating outside in the shade with a breeze made the experience very pleasant. I would recommend any of there pasta meals, my favorite was the one with the mullet roe in the sauce. Can't wait to try again. Grazie Mille

Location, location, location .. fabulous sunset and city view that can't be beat! We shared dishes around the menu and enjoyed them all. Additionally, our waiter recommended a wonderful bottle of wine that we have sought out as we continued our trip. We did not like the extremely unfriendly service: people could be a bit kinder in the Sardinian hospitality industry, but maybe it's just a part of their charm.

There are both indoor and outdoor seating options. I ate at one of the umbrella-covered, outdoor tables in the middle of the square. Great spot to people watch and enjoy the scenery while noshing on delicious pizza. A waiter greeted us, handed us menus, and set down place mats and utensils/napkins. I ordered the vegetarian pizza, while my husband ordered the margherita pizza. The pizzas are personal pies. I stuck to water since it was so hot that day, but my husband ordered a small beer on draft (he gave a nod of approval after the first sip). After you eat, you pay at the register inside. It came out to about 12 euro. Both the waiter and woman at the register were friendly and nice. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Cagliari. I'd either try one of the many different pizzas on the menu or another entrée, or see what eating indoors is like and also order drinks. Very cute eatery!

We tried two other pizzerias in Cagliari and nothing stacked up to New Point. The pizzas were an incredible value- 4 euros for a HUUUGE margherita pizza. Unbelievable! Most of the other pizzas were between 5 and 6.50 Euros, still a great deal. The ingredients were clearly all very fresh and top quality. I highly recommend the pizza with delicious "Buffala" (BOOF-ah-la) mozzarella...yummm. The servers were all really cool, and the restaurant was clean and bright. New Point is tucked away in a residential area, and well worth a short walk from both the Marina and Castello districts nearby. It is clearly a favorite with the locals and was always full of native Sardegnan regulars, always the surefire sign of a great, time-tested spot. I enjoyed my many New Point experiences, and hope to come back soon so I can have some more wonderful pizzas!

We started with a small amuse buche Parmesan ball that had a magnificent aged, balsamic reduction underneath it. That balsamic was lick worthy! Next they brought a basket of traditional breads and also the ingredients to make bruschetta at your seat: a beautiful burrata wedge that was slightly Smokey, perfectly seasoned garden fresh tomatoes and grilled bread. This was my favorite dish of the evening. Calamari was fresh and light. Not as crispy as we get in the USA but it wasn't as highly battered. The grilled lemons were a great addition, be sure to save them for your dinner. The farro with seafood was well done. It was fishier then many enjoyed due probably to the dehydrated caviar but the grain texture and seasoning was lovely and the shellfish was soft and perfectly cooked. We also had grilled sea bass (not shown) which was fresh and flakey. The dessert made with almond milk was a nice sweet taste to end the meal. Service was spot on, including the wine service. Servers spoke some English which was very helpful. Owners speak fluent English as does the manager. If you are in the area and looking for farm to table definitely give it a try!
