Kamano can be found on a side street of a restaurant district. I immediately noticed a pizza in the shape of a heart at the front of the restaurant. A super friendly restaurant employee named Sabrina greeted us with a friendly smile and engaging conversation. We were immediately sold on the v restaurant. We ordered a sausage pizza, which was massive, easily enough for three people. The pizza was hot with a crispy yet soft crust. The sauce was tasty and the sausage was quite flavorful, So incredibly yummy..,, definitely say yes to this restaurant! I also had about refreshing appetitivo! read more

Walking in the Brera area, we walked past this spot a couple times and were greeted by the friendly host. It was early for dinner so we decided to stop for drinks and a few snacks. After ordering our drinks, we ordered the ham and melon dish and the bruschetta. Both were delicious. We spent about and hour and half on the patio area doing a little people watching. While we didn't have dinner, I would recommend for drinks and snacks. Enjoy! read more

Absolute Zero. We asked not to have the beverages to go, and the server threw a tantrum and poured them into plastic cups, and splashed both of our faces. The place is located where it should be welcoming, and not repulsive. The head server (perhaps the owner) called my wife "a stupid bitch" in Italian. He was SO put upon to have to run a card charge. So he added extra assuming we wouldn't notice. Chargeback done. He wanted me to overreact and escalate and did everything to infuriate me. I typically don't take the time to write negatives but this guy rightly earned it. I hope they go out of business immediately. Do not go here. When I think of Italy, this is the type of restaurant I have in mind! It's everything you could ask for - family run, friendly servers, eclectic interior with great patio seating in the bustling Brera neighborhood, and the food... Benissimo! We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and Prosciutto e Melone to start. In addition to the normal menu, they have a whole menu dedicated to their Porcini Mushrooms that they prepare. Make sure to check it out! We ordered the Tortellini with Spinach, Ricotta, and Truffle, a Spaghetti Bolognese, and the Papardelle with Fresh Porcini Mushsrooms. Everything was delectable, even the timing that they brought our dishes out was perfect. It seems to be popular amongst the locals as there were big groups in the lunch time rush. Came here as part of a large tour group for late lunch/early dinner. The food must have been extremely unmemorable because I seriously could not remember eating here. (Thank goodness Google photos has that location info). One of many other restaurants that exist to please American palates, I don't think the food is what you could call authentic or typical of the region. The flavor profile was either over salty or bland for most dishes. Service was okay since the group was expected and we received a prix fixe menu. I was happy to have beef and fish served with the many other dishes. Just a warning, most restaurants do have a cover fee to be seated (usually about 2 Euro per person, and water is also charged - never free). read more

We came here as part of a tour and had our welcome dinner on our first night in Milan. It was a pleasant venue with friendly servers. They asked us about any dietary requirements and were able to accommodate requests (like no dairy in the risotto for one table). The fried calamari was quite good and the mozzarella was fresh and just the right texture. I wasn't blown away by the food but it was good. We had several fried entrees including the ricotta stuffed peppers and fried fish along with the calamari. There were also nice thinly sliced beef strips with arugula which was a bit chewy but nicely flavored. Dessert was a sweet pastry with powdered sugar. There are clean bathrooms and the staff understood English. PROS: friendly service. They did try to accommodate dietary preferences CONS: the dishes we had were part of a pre-selected welcome dinner and were OK. Next time I'd like to pick some of my own selections BOTTOM LINE: the calamari was solid. They have nice staff that speak some English and clean facilities. read more

Food was ok but very awful service, First we had to ask for another waiter because the first one was very rude and making us wait to take our order. We asked for the house wine which they said it was Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, they just brought us "some" wine in a carafe. We were lured into this restaurant during lunchtime because we happened to be walking in the Brera district and stumbled upon a very sales-y guy and weren't in the mood to decline, so we had a seat. We sat down in the restaurant, which is very crowded, and it takes 10 minutes for the waiter to return. When he returned, he put a bottle of water on the table and opens it. We didn't even ask for still water. We ordered 2 personal pizzas (8 and 10 euros each) and 2 Coke zeros, and then we were asked to move tables (as well as many other guests). The ambiance was very hectic and scattered. We waited a long time for our pizzas, maybe 20 minutes. Since we waited so long, we grew thirsty and ordered a second round of Coke zeros. Admittedly, the pizzas were very delicious. The crust was the right balance of crusty, fluffy, and charred. The sauce and mozzarella cheese were very flavorful and tasted fresh. But my husband's margherita pizza only had one piece of basil on it, and my prosciutto pizza had just 2 pieces of prosciutto. They definitely skimped on the supplemental toppings. Got the bill, and it was more than double we paid for just the two pizzas at 18 euros. The bill was 42,50 euros! For a water we didn't order, a "seating charge" of 2 euros per person, four Coke zeros at 4,50 euros EACH, and 2 pizzas. I couldn't believe the audacity to charge for water we didn't order an a seating charge, in addition to 4,50 per small bottle of Coke Zero. I was appalled. I would have been happy to pay 30 euros at most, but 42,50 was just way too much for 2 pizzas and some soda. Pass on this tourist trap and try to find something a local would bother to spend their money on. read more

Honestly the food was about 4 stars but sadly there is 0 service at this joint and my waiter was dishonest with both the price and food. I ordered a standard spaghetti and a "seafood" pasta which turned out to be mushrooms instead of mussels. My waiter assured he can "fix this" so he made the order of seafood pasta and charged me for both dishes. I am honestly not even mad about this. What I am mad about is my wine. I was charged 19 Euros for a bottle of Chanti when I wanted house wine for 5 euros. The funniest part is that- I double checked with another waitress and the manager at the front the cost of a small bottle of Chanti is 10 Euros and their 750ml is roughly 15 euros... I can stomach extra food and pay for it no problem- even if I have to pay 30 more euros for an extra dish of food. But I cannot stand people who lie to me to a point of scamming. read more

Absolutely disgusting food and service. We ordered a few dishes including a hamburger for a child. The risotto was mediocre at best. The sea bass with artichoke was horrible and my wife almost broke her tooth biting hard into something that should not been there. The hamburger meat was so bad that my child almost puked when he tried it. The we complained about the hamburger the owner said he will make a fresh one, but in a few moments brought the same burger back with the side of fries. He touched the meat and the bread with his bare hands trying to sell it to my child. I guess his idea was that the fries will make my son forget how bad the burger was. He did not let us say a single word. The guy was very rude and unpleasant. After I said that I will not pay for the hamburger and asked for a check he ignored us for about 15 minutes. Only after we got up and started to leave the check was produced that included the hamburger. Disgusting food. Horrible service. Extremely unpleasant owner. We stumbled across this pizzeria/osteria in the historical district. The interior was nice. Service was good, but relaxed. The house wine was OK. We shared a couple of appetizers: Excellent fried zucchini flowers and a salad of shaved artichokes with Parmesan cheese. We split two pizzas- one was the four seasons and the other was a mushroom pizza. Although this restaurant is in a touristy area, I noticed some locals eating there. A couple of them seemed to be regulars. I was surprised to read so many negative reviews. I would definitely have lunch there again. read more

This is a perfect place for a lunch stop during your Milan shopping spree. We had the artichoke salad and the asparagus tagliatelle. Both dishes were fresh and full of flavor.
