I recently had a mani-pedi combo here, and it was a very pleasant experience. I was welcomed to the pedicure massage seat, starting with a soothing soak, followed by a relaxing scrub and foot massage. The technician was professional and left my feet soft and comfortable for the rest of the day. The manicure was done by Maggie, and she was as welcoming as they could be. I had my nails cut, had my cuticles carefully trimmed, and a perfect polish color at the end. The manicure goes by fast especially when she reciprocates my small talk :) The staff were very friendly and paid close attention to detail, making sure that I got my moneys worth . She went quickly yet still paid attention to detail, and made sure she asked about the shape and length ahead of time and continuously checked in! My favorite nail salon in Parkslope without a doubt. They take their time truly cleaning your nails meticulously which is great. I tried the power treatment which was Wonderful the colors came out so vibrant I am very happy with my final outcome of the manicure. As I spoke to Maggie she just has to train her staff in the process as I had to wait a while for my manicure to be completed. However since I come here often enough I can over look this matter. Amazing service! I had a Groupon for a gel mani, paraffin pedi and 5 min massage. I called for an appointment and they were so flexible - granted, it was a Tuesday. They had safety measures for COVID.. gloves, masks, plexiglass and there was also only 1 other customer who came in during my appointment. The nail technician who tended to me was so meticulous! I walked into the salon Wednesday for a mani and Padi. They told me that they were busy and come back the followings day. So I went in Thursday ( yesterday) and they were slow, only one customer. Walked in to my appointment I made via Groupon for gel mani and regular pedi and was greeted by the friendly owner I believe. I told her my name and she immediately knew I had booked an appointment with my friend since we requested for the same time. My friend was running late and they had people walk in and asked if it was okay if we didn't do our pedicures together - that was somewhat considerate to ask but they had space so she could've kept us together without asking. Their pedicure seats is a massage chair - win win. They offer water or tea for you to drink. I thought my pedicure came out good, just the way I like it. I would say they're pretty sanitary. When it came to my gel mani, I liked how she shaped my nails and how thorough she was being. I like their large gel color collection to choose from. Their UV machines were the portable ones and she was having a little technical difficulty with one of them at first. The only complaint I have about my gel mani were little bubbles and hairs even after spending so much time on them. Also, they were taking their time and being thorough. But once they saw it was getting crowded, they started rushing through everything and getting distracted - probably why my gel mani was messed up in the end. The Groupon was sort of worth it -$35 for gel mani and regular pedi but there's also like $4-5 cash only charge at the end for tax. In the end you're paying like $10 cheaper than their regular price. Making an appointment was super easy and I was able to be seen right away. They get five stars because of how hygienic this salon is and because of the friendly service. It is VERY clean; excellent sanitary precautions are taken. At first I was skeptical with how she was doing my pedicure, but the end results were great! My mani/pedi looked so good and it lasted a while. One thing I did notice was that it took FOREVER to do the mani, literally like 1hour +, but like I said, it came out really nice and lasted 2+ weeks no chipping. I don't have any regrets. Worst mani and pedi ever! My mom and I were in the neighborhood and decided try this place. What an awful idea!! My mom's pedicure was rushed and looks horrible. There's bubbles all over and uneven looking brush strokes. My SNS manicure looks like someone dipped my hands in cement. After my pedicure the nail technician removed my old nail polish from my hands and then disappeared. Initially I thought maybe she went back to get supplies, however she never came back. After 10min I began to look for her only to realize she had already taken a new client. I had to wait 20min for my moms manicure to finish and then her nail tech did my manicure. To remove my old SNS the nail tech harshly filed my nails down with acetone. I've been getting SNS for a year now and this is not the right way to remove this product. My nails are now super thin. Throughout my manicure I kept seeing red flags but was hopeful that I was just being paranoid and the lady knew what she was doing. Unfortunately she didn't! My SNS looks super grainy and uneven. When I confronted my nail tech about my bad manicure she admitted that it looked really bad apologetically and said she probably needed more training. This was the cherry on top of everything. A business should not advertise they know how to do something if they don't. Paying clients should not be ginny pigs! At the end, the best she could do was give me 10% off. I found a deal for a gel manicure & regular pedicure on Groupon and I decided to try it out. It was a little cheaper than my local salon, so I was trying to save a few coins. When I got there I got seated right away. The nail salon is quiet and neat. They take their time with your nails and are diligent. They charge an extra five dollars to take off my gel nail polish. The reasons why I gave them three stars is because I realized they offered other customers water and tea while I sat there parched. Also, I didn't like that I had to pay extra to take nail polish off, I've never done that before. And last but not least she forced me into giving her a certain amount of tip as if I wasn't giving a decent one already. I gave what I felt was deserved. I ended up spending more money than what I usually would at my local nail salon. And my GEL manicures didn't last at all. It started to chipping three days in and by the fifth day 8 out of 10 of my fingers were chipped. So, I'm just going to stick to my regular salon. read more

This is the first nail salon I have been to since moving to NYC 2 months ago the first thing that threw me off was I was charged an additional $10 for a foot scrub that is normally included at other nail salons I frequently visited. About 2 hours after I left the salon, I noticed my foot appeared very dry, like beyond ashy . Less than 24 hours after I left, my nail started chipping. One star for the green tea I was offered. Everything else was not good. Needless to say, I won't be going back here. Update: So the first time I went here I ended up purchasing another package of gel mani and regular pedi. This was before I noticed my gel nail polish chipping hours late. So to not waste the money, I gave the package to my best friend. So I took her there to use the package last Friday. Everything looked fine, but we couldn't understand why they took 2 hour to do her nails. On Saturday, she called me and said her gel manicure started chipping. LESS THAN 24 hours after she got it. So I told her to call them and see if they can fix it. She called them and they said she can come in and get it fixed. So they "fixed" the gel manicure on both nails and they asked if I can change the review. I told her I would if this time, the service was actually of good quality, but I will give it a few days to make sure this time the gel manicure was okay. My best friend called me today and told me the gel manicure the nail salon "fixed" yesterday started chipping again. Needless to say this salon is using poor products for gel manicures. I have been to nail salons in Philadelphia and California (where I previously lived) and never experienced anything like this. I told the owner and she didn't do anything about it and just charged us for it anyway. I feel bad to leave a negative review because they did great. I just paid $100 for literally the worst manicure of my life. My nails are crooked, my dip looks smeared and uneven, and she added glitter to cover up the mistakes instead of actually fixing them. When I said I disliked the outcome, I was told I'd have to pay to have them removed. And only AFTER my nails were done did the nail tech tell me that most people don't do dip nails for french tips on nail extensions. I clipped the nails off literally as soon as I got home. I'm not a picky person with my nails and I rarely write Yelp reviews, but I feel like this was just too bad to stay silent about--when I posted the pictures of my nails on Instagram, my friends thought it was a joke.
