Every Tuesday you can feast at Il Buco, or whenever you feel like booking the whole restaurant for a wedding, birthday, funeral, or? For booking you just have to write Christer (the owner) an e-mail. I have tried a wedding dinner and a Tuesday night at Il Buco. Both were more than wonderful. The feeling of the place is like Sunday lunch with the family. Most courses are served on big plates, and you have share with your neighbors. By the way you are sitting very close to each other at long tables together with people you do not know. Groups at the ends and two persons in front of each other at each side of the table. The food is organic, and very well prepared in an Italian way. The wine is also organic and natural. Between courses you can eat a little bread with oliven olie, and olivens. You are in for an experience, when you visit Christer. At Tuesdays you pay 200-300 Dkr for dinner (5-6 courses), a glass of wine, and coffee. At the counter you can buy more wine by the glass or bottle. Christer will give you good wine advice.selection of wines is not very big, BUT they are selected with great care at mostly small wine yards. It is about 80 Dkr a glass and 500-600 Dkr a bottle. They also have beer.

In a hidden back alley of Islands Brygge - little Italy is bubbling! The owner is Christer, who is best described as an Italophile guy, with a large timber mans beard, ponytail, viking tatto and a pirate earring - and a very welcoming smile, runs this amazing, hidden, warming little place, that every tuesday serves a three course meal, plus a glass of wine, and coffee for ridiculous 275 kroner. Everyone is seated at long tables and the talk begins just as you place your bum in the seat - it is so cozy! I went with a friend tonight and I am completely full, happy and slightly drunk. Tonight we were served, and I kid you now on the amount! As starter we had; baguette with beautiful italian olive oil, baked and pickled tomatoes, olives, 'italian hummus', crostini with mushrooms, gorgonzola with honey and nuts, sunchoke with parmasan and rosemary, smoked salmon from Fanø with mayo. This starter FEAST lasted 1.5 hours, and I was full after! Then came the main with tender braised pork cheeks with braising liquid, mash and picked onions. And a dessert with light vanilla ice cream, rawmarinated apples and toasted pumpkins seeds. All was accompanied by Italian wines Christer himself imports and sells. What a meal - I can only recommend this place - you have to try it to believe it i guess..

Delicious ragu, bread, and a good Pilsner on draft for me. Kids liked the butter noodles with cheese. Nice little place.

When we arrived early there were quite a few open seats and staff had no problem seating us. We could've sat outdoors and listened to a guitarist but opted for inside. The decor was rustic and almost every inch of the wall was covered with something. Even the ceilings were painted. Service was quite good. Attentive and fast. Our section of the restaurant was quiet. However, I felt a little sorry for one server as the couple behind us kept complaining through most of their meal and eventually had to moved due to sounds they kept hearing through the wall. We didn't hear anything. Bread service was included and each slice was soft and helped us finish off the remaining bit of sauces from our pasta. My salmon pasta was quite generous with the amount of salmon chunks. The sauce was distinct creamy tomato and mixed well with the al dente pasta. My SO's mushroom tagliatelle had a nice mix of mushrooms and rich flavor. Dinner was quite filling and we couldn't fit in dessert. Would come back again should we be back in Copenhagen.

When I saw how packed it was I knew it must live up to the hype but I was super disappointed with the experience. I was sat and served bread and upon my 3rd bite of bread I noticed it super tasted like perfume or soap. Hmmmm that's odd I tried another piece and the same thing, I spit it out. In that moment I lost trust, before my main dish even arrived. When the carbonara did arrive , to my extreme disappointment it literally had no flavor what so ever. Not one seasoning was added to this dish. I only ate about 3 bites and asked for the check. The server asked if i wanted something else but at this point i just wanted to go home. They charged me in full. I walked home in disappointment on my last night in this beautiful city filled with great food. The end.

Food is an essence of travel and to be disappointed again and again is a bit sad. This place thankfully had good food. The pizza is not your usually Italian pizza. I assume it has a Danish twist. It's very thin crust. We ordered the Mark & Rita which is a play on words for Margherita pizza. We had the sourdough bread with buttermilk butter which was tasty. Olives were a nice start. Ordered the food with "Le Orme" glass of red which was nice and crisp and complemented the food. The servers Sean and Victor were attentive. The place has a very cozy feel to it. I'm just so surprised that so many restaurants are closed this early on weekdays.

It was light, bubbly, and gigantic. I ordered the 3 course meal (250kr)-antipasti to start, pizza, and tiramisu. The antipasti was fresh bread with 3 dips. One was tomato pesto, pesto, and olive oil. All 3 dips were amazing but my favorite was the tomato pesto. For my main entree, I got the miss wishbone pizza and my friend got the denny special. Both were AMAZING and were incredibly unique. The fresh prosciutto was divine and the truffle oil on the white pizza was fantastic. For dessert, I had the tiramisu. It was probably one of the best tiramisu's I've ever had. I could taste the cognac and fresh cream. European desserts--no contest! If you love Italian food, this is a must try. Service was also excellent.

Every dish is sourced from a combination of Italian and Danish providers, made and plated with care, and served with an explanation radiating pride in true craftsmanship. I will probably never eat another flan as good as theirs. I know what you're thinking: "I came all the way to Copenhagen. Why would I choose an Italian restaurant?" Hey, good food is good food.
