Incredible selection of items here. Probably the best clothing selection I have ever seen in one store - in one city. The only one that compares is Maxfield's in LA. They have amazing selection of Lanvin, Alaia, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen. As well as other less known, but amazing finds that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere under one roof. I was here during a sale and got incredible deals on otherwise very highly priced items. They even had Balmain jacket and vest (still outrageously expensive, but less so than otherwise without sale).
The only strange thing was that sales people weren't very helpful. They weren't pushy or trying to get me to buy things that didn't look good on me, but they didn't seem to have good taste. I saw their recommendations to other women and I wouldn't place these ladies in the outfits suggested by the rather junior sales people. I always think that in highly prices exclusive boutiques, the sales staff has to have excellent taste and give good guidance to the women purchasing the outfits.
They were doing very well - lots of buying going on when I was there. That was good to see during these times. And the sales staff weren't snobby, it just seemed like they were young and didn't have good fashion sense to guide the customers. May be it was only that particular bunch that day, but it was my impression.
This boutique is an absolute must, however, to visit if you are ever in the vicinity of Chicago and have the spending budget (I think around $5,000 or more), because you will absolutely be tempted. Don't even go here unless you are ready to part with money. It will be hard to resist. read more
