Let's me start by saying that I'm not a young guy and I use a cane . 1st time there for me. My daughter likes it so I figure I'll give it a try. From the odd ball shopping carts to the rat like maze I had a bad feeling about this place. I won't even mention no shopping bags are used. I get it. Prices are lower. I went there with the intention of buying a bed and mattress. After walking through several mazes I finally arrived in the bed area. I spent about 30 minutes looking over the beds and kinda narrowed it down but I needed some assistance. Apparently IKEA trains their staff to avoid eye contact. I waved over to them (there were two standing there) but I couldn't get them to look my way. I noticed that they were not making eye contact with anyone. Maybe I could have gone over to corral them but no customer should have to chase a store employee down for help. I wrote all of my info down and walked the maze again to the warehouse pick up area where you have to pick it out yourself. I found the bed boxes and they were heavy. Yep, no one to assist. I again looked around for help but no one was willing. The eye contact thing again. As soon as I made an attempt to grab a store person they were gone. I finally gave up and went to pay for several small items. There were only 3 lines open and all had long lines. It felt like I was at Walmart. I just left. For a fairly new store I am not impressed. I'm not sure if avoiding helping customers is company policy but I couldn't seem to be able to get some basic assistance. read more

Nope. After a monthlong ordeal to get the bottom of our table (thanks to a failed attempt at click-and-collect), it's finally delivered... with screws missing. I do feel like the customer service team is trying, but they're just totally missing the mark here. We've been without the dining room table we paid for since November, and as of right now there's no resolution in sight. read more

Finally now in Jacksonville, FL! I like all departments in one level concept, I feel the walkways are larger this way, feels less crowded. Love their bed sheets and bathroom towels. Yet to try restaurant. read more

Most furniture and home accessories are from Ikea! Love the way this store is set up and makes shopping fun

The people here were extremely rude and it was unorganized. I wanted to get a tabletop and there was no sign on a door where they were that said customers could not go in nor did it say employees only. I tried to ask a employee on a forklift and they ignored me. In their words, "I don't have to acknowledge customers." When I went back there to get it, an employee said I wasn't supposed to be back there, so I understood and started to leave. He said he was going to bring me the tabletop past the gate. The guy from the forklift saw me leaving and began shouting at me, saying that I wasn't supposed to be back there. I said I understood and was already told, which is why I was leaving. He kept repeating that I wasn't supposed go be back there and even tried to put his hands on me. I asked him for his name and all he said was bye. I have never been treated with such poor customer service before. I reported him to the manager and within the 30 minutes of waiting on the manager, I still didn't get that tabletop. I'm never coming back to IKEA. read more

I was SOLD on IKEA throughout my whole experience (including the cafeteria) until the very end. I had a full bag of goodies and then I saw the 15 or so checkout stations with only two open. There were two long lines and I felt like I was at Walmart. Needless to say, I left my items and walked out. read more

Just spent the last two and a half hours putting a bed together that by all of the reviews is just going to fall apart to find the delivery guys busted one of the boxes open during delivery and I am now missing the last set of screws I need to finish the bed. Now I get to sleep on the floor tonight. That's IKEA way to live up to your horrible reputation I should have trusted all of the bad reviews! read more

Ikea has really nice home and office furniture at very affordable prices! I have always loved Ikea but never really did any real shopping there until I had made an online order about 2.5 months ago! I ordered a section sofa and a dinning room set. Upon delivery we were told that the covers for the chairs and sofa would be delivered to us within the next 2 days...over the next 2.5 months I've had to call AT LEAST once a week, we have 4 different cases with Ikea, I drive 3 hours to phoenix and spent 2 hour IN the store, and I am currently on the phone waiting to be connected AGAIN. We STILL don't have the covers...if anyone has ever tried to call Ikea you probably know that the average wait time is about 45 min...well great as I was typing this I was just hung up on after 36 min. And didn't even get to speak to a representative...this is the THIRD time I've been hung up on by IKEA. I couldn't be more livid now. I'm close to tears cause the couch is a pull out couch for my roommate...he has been sleeping white, scratchy cotton for almost 3 months now. We couldn't even have our thanksgiving, Christmas, or new years get togethers. Lastly, the actual store was also a mess too! When I finally got "help" there was a really nice young guy that tried to help, but he was soooo lost as to figuring out what the first step was. I'm not sure if he was new or not, but he CLEARLY lacked training and was very flustered and seemed uncomfortable. He had called for help multiple time. The guy he had called was on his 15 min. Break and NEVER came to help this poor kid out! There were about 5 associates in a circle talking and laughing near the help counter I was at and there were LINES of Frustrated people with returns! I was more frustrated for him, rather than myself at first! After about an hour I finally got a lady to help me, she didn't know what to do and said that the only quick option was to buy them again at the store...NO!! It's not ok" that I order something, was promised something and NEVER received it!! I have put in sooooo much effort for ONE thing!!! I will NEVER shop here again!!! Either fix it and give me my money back for EVERYTHING or just go out of business... Please I just want my covers so that I can move on...I hate that I have to call AGAIN for the 2nd time today and wait more!!! I just don't know what to do anymore, or how to get it through your head to send something I had paid for!!...IKEA's a JOKE PLEEEASE do not waste your time....I'm just gonna find covers on Amazon and try to get my money back...fingers crossed!! read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a retail. My boyfriend and I traveled over 3 hours to get him a desk that he's been wanting for some time. We originally spoke to someone that was disagreeing with my boyfriend over the price because it did not match up online like it was in the store and when we showed the representative she apologized and price matched it for us. Not to mention that my boyfriend ended up settling for a complete other desk prior to this. We have no checked out and are waiting for them to bring the desk to us. 30 minutes later still nothing for my boyfriend to speak to someone for them to tell him they don't have it in stock. Which is mind blowing to me since I worked in retail and now that nothing will process out of the system if there isn't something there in the first place. He then settles on another desk at that point (this is now 2 desks he has had to settle on and keep in mind we traveled 3 HOURS for this thing) and they were willing to price match it for us which we were excited about. Another 30 minutes has passed and the manager comes out and is very rude does not say hello, kiss my butt, anything.. and immediately accuses us of lying about the price match in the first place and has now taken BACK the price match offer but was willing to SHIP THE PRODUCT WHICH COST $50 and the price match was only $30 difference. At this point we were both annoyed settled on now a 3rd desk just to get out of the facility. Long story short this IKEA experience was completely awful. Will definitely go to Atlanta IKEA next time even though it's 4 hours. read more

Enjoyed seeing the room ideas, accessories and what nots. Many items I really liked. So would say a 4+ rating on that. We decided to eat lunch. My husband has eaten at Ikea's throughout the U.S. as he travels for work. I have never eaten at an Ikea. We both were extremely disappointed. My husband had the Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy and the veggie mix. I had the salmon with a veggie cake and the veggie mix. We shared a piece of the Daim cake. Except for the Daim cake (which was refrigerated) all the food was at best luke warm. We were there just as they opened for lunch so the food should have been very hot. Cannot recommend, unless you like barely warm food. Daim cake was the right temperature and truly was the only part of the lunch we enjoyed. read more

Waited in line 30 minutes to buy a sofa, and another 45 minutes for them to pull it down. Drove home 35 minutes and realized halfway through assembly that they neglected to give me box #2. Called 888 customer service and held for 49 minutes, only to be told there was nothing they could do and I needed to go back to the store to get the missing box. Never again. Stay away. Well to start my day off Saturday morning I went online to purchase a 5.00 item so when I arrived to the store I could just pick it up and continue my day as you know things didn't go as planned. I get to ikea and my item isn't there now let me go back I went to the store Friday because there website stated they had 20 of the items I needed in stock but again there wasn't any the staff member I spoke with stated it was a glitch in the system so I asked if I purchase it online I can come in and get it right she stated if its available in stock you can do that, remind you that's what I did Saturday but low and behold that statement wasn't true because I was able to purchase the item online but it was still not available in the store. Needless to say it cost me more to travel to the store than the item cost I live 15miles away from the store. I asked to speak with a manager regarding this mix up and a young man name Michael came out to assist me I informed him of my dilemma and told him the computer stated they had 20 of these items in the store he looked on the website and noticed it stated they was suppose to have them inhouse he informed another manager of the issue whom went to the dock to look for the item and it wasn't on the truck at all. Now I love IKEA don't get me wrong but this kind of treatment will make me leave them alone this manager Michael saved a customer (me) from giving them a very bad review he went over and above for me he gave me a gift card and also agreed to FEDEX me my package when it comes in the store to my house without me paying for shipping now Michael is the reason for me staying with them and over looking this mishap. horrible location, not existing parking, no customer service and sloppy furniture. avoid at all costs

I've been to this IKEA a couple times and ordered online once. I love their stuff and even though it's not the best quality, it's good for the money. With an active toddler I'm not looking for quality, I'm looking to have something that looks nice but won't be upsetting if my son ruins it. I also actually enjoy putting the items together but that's probably just me. I've never had any missing parts or issues with building. I live in St Augustine and I would most likely go more often if it wasn't such a long drive. That being said, one time I tried to save myself and toddler the long trip and ordered a table online. The first star they lost was from the fact that the order came late, which does happen, but they had no idea where my package was. They said Fedex had it and that they would not know what's going on with it at that point. At first that sounded like a good reason but after speaking to Fedex I learned that IKEA never actually gave them the package even though they emailed me that they had. They claimed on the phone that they had. Both the Fedex tracker and two employees told me that they never got it. They lost the second star because in order to find all this out I had to wait almost an hour to speak to one women who just insisted that they did not know where it was and just repeated back my frustrations saying she understood. When it became clear to her that I would not be done with the phone call until I knew exactly where my table was she said she would transfer me to someone else. At that point I waited on hold for almost two hours only to have the employee hang up before I finished my first sentence. For online ordering I give them zero stars but for the store and products I would give five stars. Luckily I'm a stay-at-home mom and can take the time to drive up there but those with packed schedules who try to order online should be cautious. For what it's worth, my husband doesn't care for IKEA and recommends to buy similar, if more expensive, products from other websites. read more

The worst IKEA I have ever visited and I've been to several. Long lines to checkout. The store layout is confusing. Items on the sales floor are not marked to tell you where to find it at the end as at other IKEAs ... you use these little computer terminals to find the location when you reach the end ... and half of them don't work properly. This IKEA uses this system where certain large items you can't get yourself but have to get a ticket on the sales floor that you use when paying and checking out after waiting in a long slow line ... and then waiting for them to bring it out after you've checked out and are ready to go home. The promised 10-15 minute wait (depending on who you talk to) becomes a 25 minute wait (and this desk/operation wasn't really busy at all) and THEN they tell you they don't even have the item. The staff are a mixed bag ... several are not friendly at all to add to their lack of interest in their job (that they cannot perform competently). I'm sorry IKEA opened this store ... the world was better off without it. read more
