I'll share pics. The kitchen & home decor is downstairs with the furniture & purchase kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms is upstairs. Even a staffed playroom for children- check them in, shop, pick them up. I guess the costs are still good. Inflation happened, no doubt. I don't see the selections I used to, just over stocked with the same items to fill spaces. You need to experience this yourself. A big parking deck isn't too hard to navigate. Very large vehicles may be tricky, so if you can drive a smaller car or maybe park outside of the desk is a good option. read more

IKEA is still my favorite stopping point in downtown Atlanta. I love the simple and practical items they carry. IKEA members still get free (very good) coffee in the upstairs restaurant. Today we had 8 pieces falafel with garlic dressing on couscous $4.99. Not bad. However, my first choice was Salmon salad plate. It had slice of raw salmon, lettuce and potato salad on it. They only had two plates, and I missed it because I let people go ahead of me on line. This was 11:15 am. When I asked for more , I was told that they didn't have enough employees to prepare more. So sad! I will always support IKEA but I'm not so impressed with the cafeteria anymore. read more

It is fairly larger than other locations I've visited. To help with influx of customers, they offer a large underground parking garage with 3+ Levels. I always enjoy coming to IKEA. Two of my favorites at IKEA are elegant Kitchen Displays and multitude of Light Displays. Both have so much imagination that you have to be careful. Otherwise, you may spend hours in each area, without realizing it. Hehe. This location didn't disappoint. It had so much that there was something for everyone. I have been a loyal IKEA customer for approximately 20 years, but my recent experience at the Atlanta store was unacceptable and resulted in the loss of a several-hundred-dollar purchase. While checking out, I discovered that my IKEA credit card had expired. I asked the self-checkout attendant for assistance. She sought help from another employee and directed me to the Returns department, stating that a temporary credit card number could be issued there. No additional instructions were provided. When I arrived at Returns, I waited behind four customers for more than 30 minutes. When it should have been my turn, another customer was called because she had checked in online. Neither the self-checkout attendant nor anyone in Returns informed me that I also needed to check in online. After waiting over half an hour, I expressed my frustration. Only then was I told that the Returns associate could not help me and that only a manager could resolve my issue. The manager, identified as Amari or Amauri, was unavailable because he was assisting another customer, and I was told I would have to wait even longer. I abandoned my merchandise and left the store. This incident demonstrates poor communication, inadequate employee training, and disregard for a customer's time. Multiple employees failed to provide accurate instructions, causing IKEA to lose a several-hundred-dollar sale and me to lose valuable time. I am requesting that IKEA provide a one hundred dollar gift card as compensation for the time and inconvenience caused by this service failure, and provide written assurance that employees will receive additional training so future customers receive accurate guidance. read more

Does mommy or daddy need to wonder around aimlessly in the relative peace and quiet of a giant warehouse of Swedish furniture? Well look no further than your friendly neighborhood IKEA! The hotdogs are not as good as Costco but your kids won't know the difference. There's a little play area where kids of a certain age and height can play for an hour while you shop. The snacks, meatballs and potatoes are really quite good. The room setups are quite fun for kids to explore and the montessori-esque toys have been a hit at our house... especially the doctor kit. It's been a while since we've last been to IKEA. We try to avoid the traffic as much as possible. Came on a weekday morning so it wasn't packed. Staff wasn't very friendly weirdly. We hardly saw any actually and those that we did see, ignored us. IKEA definitely isn't what it was before. I used to love admiring the interior designs but now the set ups were so basic. I used to remember IKEA being much cooler. Maybe I just got old and boring, at any rate. The parking garage was easy to navigate and there were plenty of parking spaces for a Friday evening. We were greeted by a nice employee, who pointed us in the direction of the restaurant. There were tons of tables and many families eating. We opted for the meatballs, chicken fingers, fries, cake and pear drink. Our total was around $65! I remember being able to eat here for a lot less than that, however the food was fresh and it was tasty. My only complain would be the lack of employees ringing up customers. The same girl that was cashiering, was stocking the silverware and helping customers find things. They needed more cashiers. Not the best or the worst location I have ever shopped at. The pickup spot is easy to get to, has a lot of parking spots and is fairly efficient & quick. I like that they added self checkout which seems to move the line must faster now. It does seem like it takes a while for the "new" items to hit this location though I will say the service, stock, and overall store in general seems to have gone downhill quite a bit since covid. I haven't been here once since, when the cafe is open. I can't recall a single visit where there wasn't a reset of one or more of the rooms wasn't actively going on. Stock is low and often shelves are empty and it isn't super easy to find staff for help. the discounted section is also not as good as it was post covid, more expensive, more damage, less stock, and less help. At the end of the day it's an Ikea and I think we're lucky to have one because not all cities or states do and I believe we have one of the largest locations in America, but I mean it's an Ikea, what do expect from it?...It was just a better location pre-coid than it is now (4 years later) read more

The location is great and if you get there early enough, you'll find ample parking in front of the store. However, I've avoided going at any time other than store opening because they basically got rid of all the cashiers and moved to "Express Checkout" (scanned on the IKEA app) and self checkout only. Sometimes people aren't sure whether there is one line or 2 and it can take forever. I waited for 25+ minutes just to check out once. Giving it 4 stars because I got here 2 minutes before open and had a seamless experience, but if I came during peak hours (afternoon), it'd probably be 3 stars because of the checkout lines. They also don't have plain stainless steel soup ladles for some reason. Plenty of other metal/stainless steel kitchen utensils. Overall, I still enjoy coming here for the prices. They've got a great selection of affordable plants and garden tools/accessories. I also appreciate how the Swedish food selection has grown over the years. I wish they'd bring back the frozen salmon meatball things. I'd recommend coming, but as early in the day as possible. read more

I always love coming to this IKEA -- it's huge, well-organized, and honestly such a great place for design inspiration. The showroom layouts are so clever, and I end up taking pictures of little details for my own projects. The staff is helpful if you need guidance, and checkout is usually smooth even on busy days. IKEA is a warehouse that has a little something for everybody. If you need furniture, kitchenware, bathroom, bedroom and kids area, it has you covered. They have computers throughout the store which has 2 levels for you to search for whatever you are looking for. And just in case you have a hunger attack while shopping there is a restaurant on the site. In the event that you have no luck finding a parking space in front of the store, they have a large parking garage. Make sure you join the free Ikea Membership at any kiosk in the store. You'll get information and discounts on products. If you feel like shopping without your kids, they also have a Playland where you can drop them off if at a certain age (this may be still closed because of Covid). read more

I enjoy shopping at ikea, but had a less than great experience today. I saw some pink dishware on a display today that I would love for my new house, so I got the price and number from the tag, but when I went downstairs to buy it, they didn't have it in that color anymore. Not even when I checked online. It had been discontinued on March 31st. They wouldn't even let me buy the four plates that were on the display. What are they gonna do?!? Throw them away?!? IKEA is definitely one of those places I go to shop for furniture but I also like coming here because this place is kind of.. fun! I love the whole idea where you walk through a showroom and you see all the furniture displayed so you know exactly how it looks. It's always fun seeing what's available and what's not. IKEA doesn't have the best quality furniture but it sure is affordable and it does its job. You also save costs because most of the furniture sold here is DIY -- meaning that you build it at home after buying the parts. The appeal for me is that it fits in most SUVs so you don't need to rent a truck or anything. Whenever I come, I have to remind myself that I don't need anything because while it may look cheap, it's also not hard to spend $500 here. I've bought a lot of my office furniture here -- it's minimal and simple and it's also affordable. You can get a nice stroll/walk here as well as the place is huge and you'll definitely have a great time cruising along. They have a very generous 1 year return policy but it must not be opened but I mean 1 year is a LOT of time. And of course -- you definitely want to check out the restaurant here. Their meatballs are absolutely to die for and it's all within $10 so make sure to get some Swedish grub in. I wish this location wasn't the only location in ATL as I often have to drive through horrendous ATL traffic to get here but the product offerings are good enough that keeps me coming back! read more

I'm a sucker for one stop shop places and also affordable prices. You can furnish your entire home with Ikea furniture and appliances. They have everything....beds, couches, mattresses, countertops, rugs, plants, candles, desks, wardrobes, lights, frames, bedding, tools...etc. I also believe there is an area where you can have them watch your kids if you want to shop alone. Ikea is refreshing to me because their furniture doesn't look like a lot of what the other furniture stores have, which tend to be more on the bland side than I'd like and sometimes double the cost. I find Ikea furniture and pieces fun, colorful, lively, light, and affordable. They have a bistro area on the main floor where the checkout is. There is also a restaurant area on the top floor where the showroom displays are. The food is very inexpensive and quite delicious. I don't always eat there but I love getting snacks. I particularly like their strawberry filled cookies, chocolate (find them in checkout area and bistro), and their frozen yogurt. This place is huge! overall. There's plenty of parking (parking deck P1, P2, and outside parking lot at the main store entrance). Do I highly recommend? - Yes! What I like the most? - A lot of the pieces are quite easy to move as they don't tend to be too bulky. I'm not a fan of heavy pieces of furniture. You do however have to assemble yourself but there is also an option to have them assemble for you at a fee. I don't mind putting things together, so this works in my favor. read more

The staff at the cafe made me feel welcome with a free cup of coffee with my free IKEA membership. I also got a free price of cake in honor of my birthday month with my Swedish meatball plate. This meal makes me nostalgic of childhood TV dinners of Salisbury steak and mashies and peas. Growing up in a Taiwanese home, this was my introduction to "American"" food which apparently is. Dry similar to Swedish food. I also had $10 shopping spree for my birthday month, again thank you IKEA for being so nice to your members (which I will repeat is free). I usually am not in this part of town unless my brother comes into town from Nashville as he LOVES IKEA (and Swedish meatballs). My kids are also big fans of the meatballs. I even recall coming here in March 2020 and seeing the hand sanitizer. It was the beginning of the pandemic and life would never be the same. IKEA, you are family and family looks out for each other! Funiest part is that the bed frame (the one item that did actually arrive on time) was missing MULTIPLE pieces! This IKEA at the Atlanta location was horrible. We drove 3 hours from Tennessee to get down here on January 22nd and they were closed. It was sunny and bright with no sign of bad weather and they were closed. We got a hotel and spent the night and arrived at 10:00 a.m. when they were supposed to open the next morning only to find that they aren't opening until 11:00 a.m. rude and inconsiderate to their customers. While Louisiana and Northern Florida were having snow, there was absolutely nothing hindering them from opening as the weather in Atlanta was beautiful and sunny. IKEA corporate should take a look at the management at this location as they lost a s*** ton of money yesterday. Many other people were stopping by only to find it was closed and they were just as angry. Another couple had driven two hours to get there. Management needs to be fired read more

Shopping at IKEA has become the most arduous, time-consuming chore and I'm trying to find alternative products at other stores so that I can avoid the IKEA headache. Within the last few months, IKEA Atlanta has changed their checkout process so that you now pay for your item at the checkout line (and the checkout lines are long) and you pickup your furniture from a loading area in a separate part of the store. And the pickup process is a mess. You will wait hours. We waited almost 2 hours. I heard them tell another person who was waiting, to come back for his items the next morning because the employees needed a forklift to get his items and they couldn't use it until the store closed for the evening. All I know is that I won't be participating in this IKEA craziness again. As I waited my 2 hours, I was searching Container Store, Target, Wayfair, and Amazon for my storage solutions. Ikeaaaaa is always my fav shops. We have been to multiple locations of ikea in NJ and the Atlanta IKEA looks and feels the same . Only issue is - it's in the city / downtown. So there is always traffic when going to this ikea. I wish they built this in some suburbs... Parking is good. Lots of space. As always , the dining/bedroom/ living room furnitures are good and easy to pick. I also love the lighting/ marketplace / kitchen / paintings etc .not too expensive and very good products. We got a foyer table this time .. customer service could be better . There is no one around to help.. Food was Average. It was cheap but the taste wasn't that good. Cake was goood though. It was OK overall. Furniture pickup was outside the shop. We had no idea , and had to bring our car outside to pick our foyer table. Service was slow. Took them 15-25 mins to deliver our products. Ok the furniture part of IKEA is fine. Things are slow (self-checkout machines breaking/freezing all the time, pick up takes a while, etc) but the employees are nice and efficient so they compensate. But, the cafe area needs some SERIOUS WORK (near the cash registers where they sell hot dogs, pizza, cinnamon rolls). They are always running out of ketchup all the time, the hot dogs are inconsistent (sometimes ok but sometimes weird tasting with suspicious smells), and the soda fountain isn't working and they never have Diet Coke anymore. I've been to IKEA a lot in the last year due to moving and trying to buy furniture for my apartment so I know that this isn't just a one time thing. They're consistently bad quality. You can find anything from kitchen ware to bedroom furniture or office furniture, and even plants and home decor. Just be prepared to walk or learn the short cuts. The place is huge and there is a dinning area where they sale food items to curb your appetite if need be. This location had lots of bare shelves but I will attribute that to Covid. I typically come in and find everything I need and more. They did supply masks upon entry if you didn't have one but there are not any pencils and paper as usual. The paper and pencils were so helpful because you have to remember what aisle and shelf to pick your item from when you get to the end of the store. There are always show rooms that give you ideas for how to use the items and ways to decorate or make a room functional. I enjoy the display rooms because they help with my creative vibes. read more

This ikea used to be great when it first opened, but now not so much. One of the pieces we ordered through delivery got damaged so we had to make the trek downtown to exchange it. There was a long return/exchange line. When I finally got up to the counter none of the 3 sales associates knew how to exchange just one (of 3) box set for a furniture cabinet. They had to make a call and it took about 20-30 minutes. And then I had to wait another 30-40 minutes for them to pull the item off the shelves. They wouldn't let me do it myself. While we waited, we went to the cafeteria which was supposed to open at 11 but didn't open until 11:20 am. There was already a huge line. Then another long line for the food. It seemed very disorganized. Also they didn't have any take out containers so we had to wrap up our leftovers in some plastic bag I found in my purse. Not a great experience. Lots of improvement needed. Probably won't be back for a while. read more

I ordered online from this location for the first time and must say that I'm pretty impressed! This location is about 45 minutes from my house, but thankfully I was able to select a local pickup option closer to my house for only $10 and I didn't have to drive into the city. The staff at the pickup location "Go Bolt" were very nice and friendly. My husband and I had no problems with assembling our furniture once we got it home. Everything came packaged well. I'm very impressed with the quality of the dresser we got. It's definitely better quality than the furniture from Wayfair that we've gotten. read more
