I was about to give 4 stars but since someone decided to be racist to one of the employees, I'm giving it 5 stars. I was in the family room because we were a big family and needed a bigger space. An employee named Pablo handled us well, but my kinfolks didn't like him because they wanted Pablo to be kinder and friendlier, which he already was. I ordered New York Cheesecake Pancake Combo and a Mango Lemonade, It came with bacon or sausage, eggs, hash browns, and 2 stacks of New York Cheesecake Pancake; I had bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, for changes. It tasted so good that my stomach didn't like it and wanted me to throw up, but I kept eating it. While I was eating, one person, in the family members, told Pablo, "Hola, mi amigo." Pablo felt offended because the word he said felt racist to Pablo and made him uncomfortable because he's not Mexican. I felt embarrassed because he didn't apologize to Pablo after being racist. I wanted to apologize to Pablo but I had to leave to head to point B asap. Overall, I would come back again. TL:DR: Family room was clean, service handled us fast, food was still good but my stomach can't handle eating here. 9/10. read more

One of my favorite breakfast places. Good is always good. Service is always good. Last time there the place looked awesome. Nice and clean.

I went there to get a to go order. The salmon plate was good for it being new to the IHOP menu. The staff that I interacted with (3-person who took my order and greeted me, person checking on me to see if I needed to be seated, and the person who checked on my food time and gave me my order. The place is disgusting. Bathrooms are dirty, tables are sticky, windows have dead bugs. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like! The coffee was terrible... tasted watered-down and 3 days old. I only gave it a star bc there's no lower rating. :/ I'm not one to give a rating like this either, so allow that to tell you something. The food was greasy (not surprising ... IHOP!), our waitress was scattered and inattentive, and I couldn't even drink the water for the bad taste (not IHOP's fault, but it just added to the entire experience). What DID surprise me was that it cost us an additional .50 for each item we wanted to NOT include. And I had asked for avocado -- I knew it would cost me extra, and it did, even though it was served so unripe that I couldn't get my fork through it and didn't have a single bite. Coffee wasn't refilled despite us asking for more, and when we asked for two $5s for a $10, we got one $5 back and we had to ask again for the rest of our money. While our waitress couldn't remember that we'd asked for more coffee, nor to give us our change back, she ironically, however, recalled with perfect clarity that we had to pay her directly. A fact she recited to us multiple times regardless of us giving any hint that we'd do otherwise. This entire experience was so frustrating. read more

I've been to a lot of IHOPs in my day. This one always rises above the rest. Whenever I come, it's to take my wheelchair-bound grandma. They are always super accommodating. They are also very patient with her as she tends to take awhile to decide what she wants (she's 100 so it's okay!). Everyone is also super friendly- the host, servers, busers, seriously everyone. We also never seem to have to wait no matter how crazy it seems. I think the restaurant is much larger than you'd think so even when the parking lot is packed, you can still get in pretty quickly so don't be scared away by this! The food is also really good. The eggs can be a bit greasy sometimes but that's diner food for ya. I love that you can get combos that include something savory and sweet. That's the perfect kind of breakfast. Overall, it's a great breakfast place. Breakfast is all day so you don't have to worry about rushing. There's also not a ton of brunch places in Texarkana to begin with so I'm glad IHOP is here to save the day. It's not a five star rating because there's been times where we've had to wait awhile for our food or the cooks were a bit sloppy with the food preparation. But really nothing that would keep me from coming back! read more

Our hungry family of 5 dined at Ihop..after eating our food my 12 yr old daughter saw a wad of chewed gum under her hash browns! She ran to bathroom and threw up. We called management over & she was unapologetic. Said she'd remove hash browns from ticket. I walked to kitchen & demanded to know from staff wtf spit or dropped gum in plate & served this?? Think twice before you dine at IHOP in Texarkana, Arkansas if Manager on Duty is Wendy. She has HORRIBLE Customer Service Skills. I placed a To Go order at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023. I didn't receive my order until 7:21p.m. I inquired what was taking so long, Wendy responded we are having IT problems, Specifically when a order is placed the ticket is supposed to come up in the kitchen so the cooks know what to prepare but that wasn't happening, so if you already know that then when an order is placed why are you not checking to see if it's received in the kitchen?????? because of the wait I ask could you throw in an order of fries, Wendy told me NO, she didn't have the authority to do that but she is the Manager On Duty!!!! I ask for the name of the General Manager and Phone Number but Wendy couldn't get that info because it was locked up in the office but she had no keys to the office But Wendy is the Manager on Duty. A Simple Order of French Fries would have Satisfied Me for the wait but Wendy did nothing. Three other Customers left when they saw what was happening one of the three had already placed an online order but chose to leave. I'm sure IHOP could care less, I'm just one customer. I eat there all of the time in the morning, the breakfast crew is AWESOME. WENDY needs to find another JOB not working with customers. SHE is the WORST!!!!!! read more

Terrible service. Long wait to get our order taken. Long wait for very poor quality food. Plate itself was hot indicating it was put in a microwave or broiler. Mashed potatoes were hard. Turkey was dry. Only thing that tasted good was the salad (server assumed I wanted ranch dressing and brought it without asking, I did not want ranch) and diet Pepsi. Bill was wrong. Wife ordered fruit did not get it, but was charged for it. Server took it off the bill. Server's personality was strange. Polite but called everyone "baby". Strange. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I commend the waitress for making me a drink that is not on the menu. I've been waiting 15 minutes for this bowl of soup. I will be patient until the people next to me get their order before me.....the soup was just brought to me. The soup is luke warm but edible. Ihop has always been a favorite for me but recently me and a few friends had the best experience. We were served by a man named Sergio and he had the best personality we've ever seen in a server. He strives to keep his customers happy and he does anything he can to help. He joked around with us, offered support with every question we had, and all around was a very happy and upbeat. Mrs. Kathy was our server the fist time and Chendara was our server this time, although Mrs. Kathy was working another area we could see that all of her customers were made to feel special. Driving through during a long trip, and decided to stop for breakfast. Ordered Steak Tips and they were half cold, those that were warm felt tough, which suggests they were microwaved. Pancakes were half raw (maybe why it's ihob now). My wife's eggs were half raw. Ordered the vanilla iced coffee, and it had so much vanilla in it that it was undrinkable, decided to go with a pot of coffee, and instead they bring us regular iced coffees and suggest we mix them with the vanilla coffees we had. It's IHOP. It would s the same everywhere. Great pancakes. Everything else is ok. It isn't Waffle House.

Food was good but service was poor. Brought food then left and never returned until we left to pay out. Several other servers were in a corner booth complaining loudly about a customer that had just left. Seemed rude to openly discuss such things. We just left. The food was good but the highlight was our server Gabriel. He was very nice and more attentive to us than previous trips I have made there. He told us the special smiled and was very patient with my indecisive children. I left him all the cash I had on the table added extra to the tip when I paid at the door and still felt as though I didn't give enough for the excellent service we received. The five stars are based on my expectations knowing this is a "comfort food" not a "gourmet food" place. I expected fast efficient and friendly service- got it. Kathy M my server was as saweeet as she could be (love that Texas drawl, y'all!) I expected a clean place- got it- the place was well cared for- no unusual odors and felt like I would be safe from any food borne illnesses. I expected fresh coffee- got it. Love IHop coffee and the carafe they give you at the table- I prefer taking control of my coffee drinking not waiting for a refill. I expected fluffy scrambled eggs- got them. Wonder if they add a little milk to the eggs- light and fluffy! I expected grilled bacon- not microwaved. I expected fully cooked crispy hash browns- got them.
