Probably won't be coming back. Came in at about 230 on Sunday 2/11. From the second we came in the host was extremely grumpy. Not even looking at customers to greet them and all she said was "two?" She definitely did not want to be there. However our server was very nice. The food was good but the French toast was different from what we ordered. The worst part was the servers trying to leave. Getting their server reports and talking about how much they made or didn't make all while complaining about their previous tables that day. As a server myself I wasn't impressed. Usually silverware is rolled away from the customers. They were also extremely loud, yelling to other servers acroas the restaurant, certainly taking away from the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I've always liked IHOP in the past but we could not wait to leave. I'm very disappointed. read more

Try a different IHOP, trust me. The management here have no idea how to run a restaurant. We figured we'd give them a shot a few weeks ago. Gave them plenty of time to get settled after they opened. First time, my fiancee ordered off the app. The store, apparently, never even got the order, even though the app took our money and and they were able to bring it up in the system. The 'manager', they're always in street clothes for some reason, then verified the order confirmation from my email. At this point, I'd already gone through 2 front counter people. Both just disappeared in the back somewhere after I asked them for help. 25 minutes of waiting for, what I thought was, someone going to get my order. Little did I know, they hadn't even started it. Since they 'didn't get it'. I told them to forget the order, and just refund my money. 'Manager' said he would contact his IT team, because apparently their technical support teams handle their billing, too. :: shrugs :: 2 days later, we figured we'd give them the benefit of the doubt, and try again. Ordered a normal sized order off the app, and went to pick it up. Apparently, they were short staffed that day. Waited around 30 minutes for someone to help me, with one party in front of me upon arrival. When they did come to help, there wasn't much they could do. The kitchen hadn't even started my food yet. This was around an hour after ordering. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times. Finally, someone who didn't even look like he worked there came out from the back. Dismissive and rude. When I asked him to cancel my order, he claimed he didn't know how, and that he couldn't. I would have to call the corporate office to let them handle it. I received an email from Haaz about a week later. Claiming he did all of the app, and payment processing work himself, and that Nawaz (apparently the other 'manager'), did not know how to use the system. He claimed he wanted to make things right, so he processed my refunds himself, which they claimed they could not do. So, if I were you, I'd stay away from this IHOP. There are plenty others in the area that are much better. I wish I could tell you all anything about the food. Unfortunately, I never got any. read more

Service Was Extremely Slow. The food took so long to get to our table, and the waitress only came to our table once to check in on us. When we needed her, she was nowhere to be found. My mother ordered the buttermilk pancakes and they arrived to the table cold and hard. They did not look like pancakes at all., they were burnt. We came in at 7:10. It's Mother's Day & Sunday breakfast. This place got 20-25 customers in 10 minutes. There were 2 waitresses and 1 cook. Our Waitress was friendly and apologetic. Not her fault. The manager here should be fired and banned from restaurant management. Coffee was like warm. Won't be my first choice for food. read more

I called for a hour and no one picked up. I went to the restaurant and placed my order which took 30 minuets for a dine out order. I waited 10 minutes for the manager who took $5 from his pocket to offer me. I said it wasn't about the money it's about the poor service. And he turned away and said fine your loss. I left that place before and I will never go there again. I understand they were busy but come on at least show some concern for a paying customer. Ehhh, I really didn't expect much coming in other than the one In West Springfield being closed... && good thing I didn't have expectations. The guy at the front who I swear is the manager, told us 10-15... 25 mins later. We then sat at the table where waitress passed back & fourth & fourth & back! && not one stop to ask if we were all set clearly seeing we had nothing but menus. Finally 15 mins after we got our order taken by a waitress who was kinda force to take us she said. She put our orders in I simply ordered a hot chocolate & a water w lemon to start... didn't get it till 15 mins after till almost my food (and it was wrong tbh, we didn't even get lemon) came out which to me is outrageous!!! This is the definition of true poor customer service only reason why i gave it a a two is because the food was actually okay.. for the long wait which still isn't reciprocal! I would give you the waitress name .. but like I said she didn't even introduce herself it's 2pm now& I've been here since 11:45... isn't cool. read more

I was served 3 pancakes that had been sent back to the kitchen by another table. I know this because my family all received piping hot pancakes while mine were cold and hard around the edges. I had observed another table sending a 3 stack back about 20 minutes earlier. Shameful that these pancakes weren't thrown out. So let me start by saying something nice. I thought this Ihop was pretty good. The lady that served us was very friendly and our food was great so there are your 4 stars. Now here comes the reasons why I couldn't give 5. 1. I did see someone write about the young people up front. Whomever owns this IHOP should find something for those kids to do because they stand up there and easily lack customer service when they do which, in my opinion, is what young kids will do if you give them the opportunity. I get that they are probably there to be a friendly face when people walk in but it doesn't work when they say nothing. I'm not sure what management will give them to keep them busy but they need not be standing around idly and forgetting to acknowledge people, it's rude and just an overall poor representation of the restaurant. Regardless of age they are now working and cannot be given excuses. It actually makes it worse because they appear to be untrained which we are all sure isn't true. I did witness them completely ignore a guy the other day which was uncalled for because there were about 5 of them standing there doing nothing. 2. Another sad things is there is an up charge on turkey sausage or bacon which I always order at IHOP. I've never been charged more for this which would make sense seeing that at a regular grocery store both are far cheaper than pork sausage or bacon. Being someone trying to go a healthier route it's a blessing that the turkey option is always cheaper, one of the few healthy options that are. It's 2017, people will ask for healthier options. It almost makes me want to buy my own from Big Y next door and ask them to cook it if it's so difficult for them to obtain. I ordered this twice for takeout and there was no up charge but someone along the way made the decision to increase the price all of a sudden. Not blaming the waiters but whoever made that call is robbing people. This may sound like I didn't enjoy my experience but I did which is why I still gave 4 stars. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was extremely nice and so helpful; she makes the experience worth while. I just have noticed what is bothering others regarding the young people plus I'm really disappointed about paying extra for something that's cheaper in real life and not up charged at other IHOPs, it just makes no sense at all. I will return but probably not as frequently as I would like for someone who lives around the corner. I'll use the gas to go to W. I went in the restaurant and was totally ignored. The young people that were there totally ignored me. I was never acknowledged by anyone. You need to review with people there on how customer service works. It does not mean sitting down talking to your friends or stand in groups chit chatting with co workers. This is the first time this has happened to me at an IHOP. read more

We were seated at a table for breakfast and waited over 15 minutes and still no server came over to take drink orders or even say anything to us. Upon walking out we told the two hostesses about our displeasure and they had nothing to say in reply-not even an apology. Will not be coming here again or recommending to anyone. We have been to this IHOP on Cooley St several times since it opened. My wife and I have been in the food service business for 50 plus years and have learned to ask for a male waiter for a multitude of reason. Not that the waitresses are good at what they do but we always seem to get the one that has hair or hand issues. We are very particular about cleanliness and it seems that restaurant guidelines have been slacking. Such as hair restraints,hand washing,sneezing etc. In this being said they have been very accommodating when we asked for a male waiter. We have had Anthony several times he is attentive,clean and very polite. We hope that he is their each time we visit, we couldn't have had better service. First time here. Got in and out right away despite how packed it was. Our waitress Chamia was great and attentive. Only complaint would be is how tight the seats are when u sit at a table. Other than that the experience was great. read more
