I really don't have an complaints about ihop, place is busy as always on a weekend, servers are all over the place, coffee sometimes not as hot, most likely they will make a mistake on your order but the most important thing is I know all this will happen so I don't make a fuss about cause in the end they do feed you and boy for what we ate I was sure stuffed. Now let's talk what we ordered. French toast bomb Spinach and mushroom omelette this was huge it felt like I ate a half dozen eggs. The hash browns were a little undercooked I like mine crispy, white toast loaded with butter felt great going down, the burger sliders 3 on a plate and we got one each to try, they were a little dry but than again I wasn't expecting an Angus burger. This is THE last time I will come here. Every time I happen to come, the food is made wrong and/or it's dry, the hostess is extremely rude has a bad attitude and not personable at all, and the food takes forever to get to your table. Maybe 2 1/2 stars Stopped here because I was getting tired of eating scrambled eggs and toast from Country Kitchen. I'm not a fan of ISLOP oh I mean IHOP or do I really mean ISLOP???? This location is on the cusp of Salem, NH and Methuen so you get your mix of people working in the area and residents that live in the area. I stopped in around lunchtime we didn't have to wait at all to get seated and the server was quick to come to the table for drinks and orders. I did have to be some were at 1 so I told the server I was in a rush as I saw the party 5/6 people that walked in after us also had the same server. We got our food fast so that was great. My toast was burned and dry no butter. The eggs with cheese came out hot but not hot if that makes sense. IHOP is IHOP is IHOP, but there's some room for variation. We stopped in at this IHOP on our way to the airport. Despite it being the Sunday brunch rush, we were seated after a short wait, and served quickly. The food was just as tasty as any other IHOP. But as this IHOP got us in and fed and out and on our way without any worries about getting to the airport on time, I am a fan of this well-oiled machine of an IHOP. If only United Airlines could work half as well as this IHOP. read more

Will Be Reluctant To Return Unbeknownst to my party, we arrived shortly after close. We waited to be seated in the front entrance way as the sign directed. iHop staff saw we were seated there, however, never greeted us, or came over to inform us they had just closed. After sitting for 10 minutes, we ended up researching via our phones that the location had just closed. Now knowing this, we were more than willing to leave, as to not place any undue burden onto the staff. However, our party was dismayed, and frankly shocked, we were completely ignored the entire time we were there, even if the restaurant had just closed, as from all appearances, it looked as if iHop was still open (e.g., the doors were still open, people were eating inside, food was being served). We were willing customers and would have politely left if we would have just been informed the establishment had just closed. Instead, we had to patiently wait there and discover through our own research the establishment had just closed, despite all appearances the location was still open. Due to the complete absence of customer service and common decency, it is with great displeasure to say that neither I nor anyone else in my party will likely be returning to this establishment in the future. I have no comment regarding the food as we failed to have the opportunity to eat here. I would just caution if you value customer service, I would suggest looking to alternative places in the area first. read more

This review is for the 2 times within 2 weeks I have eaten at the Salem NH IHOP. I don't think you can get better pancakes anywhere and you can request the flavor syrup you want. The size of the meal is large and filling, the eggs were freshly cooked to my satisfaction and the raspberry tea the best I have ever been served. The waitress was really friendly and the price was reasonable. This place always seems to be busy and no wonder as the food I have had in past years there was always spot on too. I have never been to this IHOP during what some people would call "normal" hours. Its always between 12am-4am on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The only drawback is their rather small "late night" menu. But the entertainment of all the drunken people that wander in and out of there makes up for it. Dont take that though as an invitation to go in there drunk and act like a jerk, because if you do the late night enforcer/bouncer/dishwasher will throw you through a window...(im not kidding when people start to act up, he comes out and stands there and crosses his arms) That being said, you should hope to get Aniss as your server, hes prob the best waiter on the entire planet. He never messes up, hes speedy with service and once he gets to know you, hes got a section where he seats his regulars so they dont have to deal with the degenerates that wander into that place. When she voiced concerns to the cook, he had a temper tantrum. Everyone but the helpful, young, female server was blaming everyone else, acting defensive and adding to the delay. The waitress was nice and apologized for the wait and asked us to be patient since she was the only one there. The wait was fine a bit too long but she handled it well. I have been a long time customer of IHOP. I moved and have an IHOP within a quarter mile of my house. Now I get it, Saturday breakfast will be busy. Waited, got a table, started looking at our menus. About 8 minutes later a table was seated almost across from us. 5 minute after that they got their drink order taken with us still sitting over there waiting to be acknowledged. Okay, maybe we have a different waiter that might be a little bit busier. Drinks delivered to that table, we're still sitting there. Now we're at 15 minutes, the people behind finish their meal and get up and leave, new people sat drinks order taken, food order taken, table almost across from us gets their food, The 4 of us get up we walk out. Not even acknowledged the whole entire time we said at that table which was over 17 minutes. We must have been walked past by 2 wait staff 15 plus times. At that point being ignored is blatant not accidental. Here I now sit in Mary Ann's diner which is right down the road, have already had my order taken and I have drinking half my drink and I have been here less than 10 minutes.
