This was my first time at I hop I had no complaints everything was fine. The service was great and super attentive. The menu had a lot of options for breakfast and also for lunch. I stuck with the breakfast sampler which came with a little bit of everything. Usually I don't finish my breakfast but this was just the right amount of food. The coffee was a little watered down but everything was great so I didn't mind the coffee. I wouldn't mind coming back and maybe trying the chicken and waffles not many places in Saginaw carry that so I will most likely try it next time. Bathrooms were also clean I noticed a previous review said they were dirty but these were clean and looked new. All in all great staff, fresh food and a happy customer. read more

By far the worst service I have EVER received. I walked in and due to covid they had limited seating (no complaints there) so I asked to be placed on the wait list. The hostess (shorter lady with red hair) asks for my number to place on list and tells me twenty minutes. I sat in the parking lot waiting for thirty minutes and went in to check on my spot in line, because I watched a number of people go in and get seated ahead of me. A gentleman with dreads attempts to find me seating (great guy) and that same hostess comes out and seats the people BEHIND me in line claiming "She didn't know I was waiting" and "now we are at maximum capacity, I don't know what you want me to do?!" I keep my composure and order take out instead, because I have to get to work but notice a couple leaving and asks for their table. She tells me that section is closed that I JUSTTT watched them get up from and that I've already ordered carry out and can't sit. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable. read more

The Wal-mart of food. There's the puke smell when you first walk in the door. For some reason you have to wait in line because it's busy. If you get french toast or pancakes with any kind of topping, there's so much sugary sauce on them, it's like you're eating a bad birthday cake. Food takes forever to come out, the eggs must come from robins they are so small. The only good thing I have to say about the place is that they have a lot of variety and the prices are low - much cheaper than Bob Evans, for instance. But it's also a different crowd. read more

We had a great family dinner here. We were staying at a hotel nearby, so it was very convenient. Greeted immediately and seated right away. Not too crowded or noisy. Waitress was very friendly. Food came out quickly and everything tasted awesome. Pancakes, waffles & chicken, omelet... all yummy! Everything seemed clean and the supervisor even came around during our meal to greet us and see how everything was. Looked like there was a private party room in the back too. We explained to the server that we didn't have a great experience last time we were at IHOP and that we were just giving it another try. She was apologetic. In return, she never came around to check on us. We needed refills. I asked for extra ranch for my appetizer sampler- never got it. We walked back to the kitchen on FOUR separate occasions to ask for service. After the third time, the cook came out with a Pepsi as a refill when we all had waters. Yes, it was nice of the cook to come out but where was our server?!! Once our server FINALLY came out, it took her over 10 minutes to figure out our bill. I had never been to Ihop. How that is possible I do not know! I liked it. Flat out liked it. Was kinda disappointed when maybe like 10 minutes after I had ordered the waitress came and told me they were out of the stuffed French toast. Instead I got the banana fosters french toast with vanilla ice cream. It was excellent. I hate to admit it but I was like stupidly impressed with the three different syrups at the table.. My daughter loved the birthday pancakes and my husband had an omelet it looked good and I had a small bite it was tasty. I do have to admit I was very disappointed in the side a hash Browns. This was our second time eating at this location, but paled in comparison to our first. I ordered a stack of 5 regular pancakes, and they came with a side order of problems. When they brought out the food, everything seemed okay. My wife's food, and our kid's food, was fine. My order of 5 pancakes only had 4. Simple enough mistake. I informed our server, and she brought out another one a few minutes later. Two of the pancakes I got had stuff stuck to them. One had some melted chocolate, and the other had some hard burnt things stuck to it. Probably more chocolate. Informed the server, who then brought out the manager, and the pancakes were replaced. The plate that the replacement pancakes came out on had something crusty and hanging off the bottom of the plate. It left a greasy ring on the table when I moved it. When we went to pay, the server did not take the price of the kid's meals off of the total (they have a Kids Eat Free promotion), and we had to wait while the meal was re-entered into the register. Everything was eventually fixed, so I guess that's good. read more

Waited 20 minutes before a server came over, took 15 minutes to bring waters, didn't come back for another 15, took an hour to make our food, WHICH WAS RAW. the eggs weren't even cooked at all so we asked for new ones. This was my first time at an ihop in I don't know how long. The only thing that was good was the pancakes... the server was very rude. I could hear yelling in the kitchen with people cursing while there were children (I'm guessing somewhere between 4-7 years old) present in the lobby. When I went to order, the server wouldn't say a thing! I was expecting the occasion "how would you like your eggs?" "Bacon or sausage?" No... nothing.. she came up, said "what do you want" we said our drinks then she said "are you ready to order." And that was it... literally... the food came out fast and my husband didn't finish his food because he said it was so bad. We waited almost an hour for our bill. Our server never came to check and see if we were okay or if we needed refills. When I asked for water it never came to the table. When I first walked in there was food on the floors and paper from straws on the floor. It's very sad that a manger is doing everyone's jobs. I think there had to be about 2 servers there. This is my second visit to IHOP and my favorite experience yet. Hannah my server was a doll such a joyful and upbeat young lady. She went above and beyond to make my experience here great. All the wait staff was awesome and smiling making the environment a great one. From the second I walked in the host was charming and he made sure my table was free of any crumbs or food remains. What a joke. This was the worst service I have ever had. Took forever to get literally every aspect of our meal even the 70 cent fucking change. Literally could have finessed Kate Upton to send a full titty in the amount of time everything took. Would rather eat donkey shit with rat semen on it than what I got served. I can't speak for the day shift however, the night shift is horrible. Every time you walk in after 9pm the odor of marijuana is overwhelming. The staff seems to be high school kids who could care less about the customers and move with no amount of urgency or hustle. You're treated like you're a bother and a pain to serve. You can be told your order will only take 12-15 (carry out) but it ALWAYS takes 30-40. So you inevitably end up sitting in the lobby with the odor of marijuana. My advice, go to the Denny's that next door. The staff is 10 times as friendlier and much much faster. read more

Too bad I can't give this 1 star. We've had poor experiences in the past but my husband and I decided to give it one more chance today. There was a grand total of 3 tables when we arrived. We waited for a good spell for the hostess to emerge, who then acted like we were inconveniencing her. After being seated the waitress proceeded to walk past our table turning her head and completely ignoring us.....we patiently waited to be acknowledged but that never happened. She continued to check on the other tables, and just when I thought MAYBE we could get some water or have our order taken she went and bussed a table....mind you there were plenty of tables available. At this time we took our leave and of course no one seemed to care. Never again, complete disrespect. You better address this problem IHOP management or maybe on the next Friday's at noon you'll have 2 tables occupied. I can't add a pic seeing we never received even our water. read more

Seems like overkill giving this particular IHOP a star. Evidently after midnight is not a good time to expect service. The tables were filthy and sticky. There were four ladies on the floor and maybe 7 tables, all of which were eating. It took our waitress 10 minutes to take our drink order and another 10 minutes to bring our drinks. I had to ask her to please wash our table as it was disgusting (and the waitress sat us at it dirty) After another 15 minutes she finally took our order. Our food took 25 minutes to arrive, both breakfast dishes. There is no excuse for the filth and the slow service. We ordered curbside pickup twice from this location, and both times were an unpleasant experience. The first time we ordered and selected the time for pick up. We arrived a few minutes early and called the store number. An employee answered and we let them know we were in the parking lot and gave them our name. The employee said, ok, thanks, and hung up. We sat there a little confused, but figured we'd have our food shortly. We waited for 20 minutes in the parking lot and finally called the restaurant again. A different employee answered and we let her know we spoke with someone earlier about our curbside order and we are still in the parking lot. This employee apologized and said our order would be out right away. We could tell the food had been sitting there for a while because it was cold and soggy. We decided to try the curbside again a few weeks later and ordered and selected the time to arrive. We arrived on time and called the store number. The employee seemed confused and after a few moments she said, oh yes! Your order just came up, we'll bring that right out. A minute later, a different employee called and said they were out of an item, and wondered if would mind substituting. After this, we waited for 30 minutes in the parking lot and still had not received our food. We decided to leave without our food because we used a gift card and we didn't feel like waiting any longer. I'm not sure if this location knows that they have curbside pickup, or if they know what that option means for customers. I am not one to complain, about anything. I'm the type of person who if I'm at a restaraunt, and the wrong food given, won't say a word and I'll eat it. If it's a busy day, and the waiter is frustrated or having a bad day, tip them extra, you know how it goes. I have much patience and try to always see from the persons point of view.... But The waitress we just had just under 2 hours ago....was just downright rude. Right from the get go, had an attitude about putting us at a table. Literally 4 tables were seated at the most, not busy at all. Then, demanded our order as soon as we sat down without looking at the menu for our drinks or meal. I tried to contain my composure, and she snapped at me like a dog for my card when I asked for the check. She was highly disrespectful to my brother and friend I brought, who were very well behaved and thanked her multiple times for our drinks and food, and completely ignored them. Lucky enough I chose to not retaliate in a childish way as she was acting, or stoop down to her level and snap back. It was a blonde young white girl who had cat ears on, ponytail, and three piercings in each ear, and she was absolutely just rude. We were there during the time period of 8:30-9:30pm on December 26th. If anybody from Ihop cared about looking at this review, I would recommend hiring people who don't act rude towards customers. And again, it is not my nature to complain, but I don't want somebody to have the same experience as I did with this young girl. I could understand if the place was really busy, I would think more on the front that she was just frustrated, but she just talked to us like we were absolute trash. And I hate to say it, but somebody like that should not be hired if they don't know how to have respect for customers. If I was a hood there, she would be fired immediately. So I will never be going back to the Saginaw location, but the Lake Worth location is much more friendlier, cleaner, and busier. Always reliable. Whoever is the manager there, i would suggest choosing your staff wisely, because if that happens again, and god forbid if it was somebody who didn't have the patience I did and said something back to her......just do better. We come to this place every now and then. I wouldn't say the service here is over the top. It seems like you always have a 20 minute wait even when there's a lot of open tables. This past weekend we had our usual wait and finally got seated. After taking our drink orders and finally getting a coffee I asked for a spoon to stir it. Never got one. After asking twice, the waitress mumbled something about bringing it with my breakfast. I couldn't believe they were being that stingy about a spoon. I never did get one. I asked for eggs (over medium) and those came out runny and under cooked. My gf always asks for bacon (extra crispy) which always ends up on my plate because it comes out rubbery every time. I can tolerate some things but I'm getting tired of bad food and service at this place. read more

My best friend, her mom, and I wanted to treat ourselves to a little breakfast for dinner last night for our mother/daughter(s) date night. We arrived at IHOP and were seated almost immediately and saw our waiter as soon as we sat down. When we arrived we just beat the dinner rush, so the restaurant wasn't too busy just yet. We got our drinks and placed our order. There was 3 of us, so it was a short order. We watched our waiter walk over to the computer to put our orders in and then watched him disappear in the middle of putting our food in. 10 mins have come and past and we still haven't seen our waiter. Well, let me clarify - we saw him, checking in on his other tables, but he ever came back to check on us. Fast forward another ten mins. Still no waiter, still no waters or refills, and no update on how our food is coming along. An additional 35 mins pass, yes that's correct, in total we waited for 45 mins for our waiter to finally arrive and give us an update on our order. He made sure to tell us that he 100% put our order in and there was a mishap in the kitchen so our order never got placed. He reassured us that it was gonna be another 5 mins and our food was going to be ready. He also told us that he had talked to his manager and his manager agreed to take one of our items off our bill for waiting so long. That was the last time we saw him for the rest of our stay. We watched our waiter serve and even bring half orders to larger parties around us. Everyone seemed to have been waiting a long time for their food too. Now, being that it was a Saturday night and dinner time, the restaurant did pick up in traffic. We watched the manager walk around on the floor helping out with seating and clean up. The manager walked up to us and asked if we had been here for a while. At this point, we have been sitting in our booth now for over an hour waiting for our food. He apologized to us and told us he would be right back, he was just going to check and see what was going on in the kitchen. He walked away from our table and we didn't seem him again. We sat there for 10 mins waiting for the manager and he never showed back up. We got up and left. I would not waste your time here. The service was HORRID. We sat there for over an hour and never got refills on our drinks, we never got a water cup, we never received our food, but surrounding tables that came in after us received theirs. Updating from my last review, I decided to take another chance after the manager contacted me upon the last review. This time, the service was much better. We were seated promptly and had our drink orders taken almost immediately. The service throughout was very good and our waitress was attentive. After learning that we were at the restaurant to try it again after the bad review, the manager came out and talked to us, which I thought showed a lot of class. It was clear that she cares a lot about the restaurant and is actively implementing positive changes that we definitely noticed while we were there. I will absolutely go to this establishment again, now that I know that there is a manager who cares and wants the restaurant to improve. read more

I was really excited to try this IHop as I have eaten at others before, but I would call this place an "IFlop". Despite hearing others talk about how bad the service was, I guess I just had to see for myself. I guess I should have tried breakfast because that's what this chain is famous for. After our order was taken, about 15 min. later the waitress comes back and tells us that who ever ordered pot roast could not have it without onions because "that's how it came" and offered something else. well that was disappointing. I guess that's expected with a big chain restaurant. When the food arrived we just sat there staring at it because we didn't get any silverware, we had to wait till someone walked by to ask. I felt the food was just mediocre for the price, and would have been more satisfied with the Denny's down the street. I probably won't be back to this location. read more

I read the reviews - here is an update...the puke smell although not overwhelming is still present as you walk into the restaurant. I was greeted and sat quickly. My waitress took a few minutes to get to me but my drink and order came out quickly. I did not get pancakes today ... instead I ordered an egg omelet. When I got my food, I laughed...the omelet was maybe...maybe made with 1 and a half eggs - it was the smallest omelet (robin eggs indeed) I have ever eaten...it did taste good...side of fruit was fine as well. I give it 2 stars for fast service and ok food. I take away 3 stars for odd smell at entry and the smallest portion ever known to a grown man. read more

I came here to have lunch with my daughter. We were waiting for a waitress to come greet us got 15 min. When the table near us got sat, drinks, and ordered food before we even got greeted I went to speak with the manager. She was not even concerned that we were leaving.
